About Alex Wolff
It's always been a dream to own my own mountain getaway. In 2009 we made our dream come true. We visit our cabin almost every weekend to escape from the hustle and bustle of our hectic lives. We take advantage of the numerous festivals throughout the year and my wife and daughters cannot get enough shopping done in Blowing Rock and Boone. At night we sometimes just sit and watch the night sky and stare at the Milky Way.
Alex Wolff purchased this Cabin in 2009
Why Alex Wolff chose West Jefferson
Close enough to Boone, Blowing Rock and West Jefferson to enjoy all they have to offer in terms of festivals, attractions, shopping, etc but still far away enough to bask in the tranquility and natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
What makes this Cabin unique
Have you ever heard the haunting cry of a litter of fox pups? When was the last time you saw the milky-way while sipping on a mug of hot cocoa? Ever chase a rafter of turkeys? If you answered no to any of the above you should book a stay at Blue Ridge Vista Cabin.

Beautiful clean cabin
The family and I had an absolutely enjoyable stay at the Wolff Cabin. The space is large, clean and well equiped. My daughter especially loved the bunk beds, Foosball table, fire place and pit. It snowed about 6 inches one day and had an almost impossible time getting to the cabin in out 2 wheel drive rental SUV. We will stay here again given the opportunity.
Very quiet, clean, and perfect for our family!
Great location, beautiful cabin!
We enjoyed your cabin! Spacious & comfortable for our group!
Was the perfect place for our Summer Mountain trip with our grandchildren
This was our second year staying here and we really enjoyed it. It is peaceful, quiet and a very enjoyable place to stay. Our grandchildren range in age from 9 to 17 and the set-up was perfect. The 17 year old had his place in the upstairs bedroom and loft; the other three enjoyed being on the bottom floor. We cooked at least one meal a day at the cabin and the table was spacious and the kitchen had most of the conveniences of home. The cabin is located perfectly between Boone and West Jefferson. We enjoyed Tweetsie, tubing at Todd, NC, Grandfather mountain and lunch in West Jefferson among other things. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
Superb property. Wonderful spacious house with everything a renter could want. 5 star place to stay.
This is a wonderful place to rent. Beautiful cabin with an incredible view. The house is spacious and well organized. It has also the amenities that a renter would ever want in the kitchen. I would definitely stay there again. We will be back for Merlefest!!!
One suggestion to consider Alex. You may want to provide a second option with directions to the cabin. This is particularly true with the fog and rain that can hit the area which can affect cell phone access to the directions. You also had all the construction on 221 which made it hard to see the signs. I got to the cabin without incident but my brother and his wife wandered around a good bit because of the fog/rain/cell phone access issues. My sister came later and we gave her directions coming from North Wilkesboro--that were quite simple--get off 421 get off at Blue Ridge Parkway and head North for 9 miles. Take the left just after mile marker 275? (can't remember #) and you will see the lights from the -----Restaurant (always seem to be on at night) at the turn. Go half mile and a right turn and then 20 yards and a left up the gravel highway. These directions worked like a charm for my sister--who is not the best with directions.
Just a thought. Overall a wonderful place.
Whether Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall there is always an event, attraction, or festival to suit your mood. Or just spend the day relaxing in the comfort of Blue Ridge Vista Cabin and the surrounding natural beauty. A variety of wildlife can be seen or heard from the wrap-around covered porch including white-tail deer, turkey, woodpeckers, red and gray foxes, racoons, cerulean wablers, black-capped chickadees . The wildlife is attracted to the abundant food supply provided by the trees, shrubs and flowers that exist in the surrounding woods including white & red oak, chestnut, hickory, mountain laurel and rhododendron. The headwaters of the east fork of pine swamp creek are located on the property. The stream flows into the new river which ultimately feeds into the Mississippi river. After a day of heavy rain you can sit and relax on one of the many adirondack chairs or rockers and hear the stream flowing. Shopping, restaurants, and other tourist attractions in Boone/Blowing Rock, West Jefferson, and Wilkesboro are within an easy 20-30 minute drive of the cabin. We hope you enjoy your stay at Blue Ridge Vista Cabin!
