2 Bedroom, 1.5 Bathroom, Wonderful Semi-private Pool/Patio - WiFi

This cozy and very convenient 2 bedroom/1.5 bathroom home is the perfect family rental to enjoy South Padre Island to its fullest. The Condo has a large flat scree TV in the living area, a fully equipped kitchen and bedrooms with very comfortable mattresses. One queen size bed in the main bedroom and two twin beds in bedroom #2, with a TV in each bedroom. There is a vertical washer and dryer center conveniently located in the home and close to the bedrooms.

The beach is just a brisk walk (about 4-5 minutes) East from the condo. South Padre Island main street is half a block away to the West, very close to several restaurants and novelty retail stores.

A wonderful and refreshing semi-private pool (shared by only two the units) awaits you and your family when you come back from the beach. The patio also features a stone picnic table and tropical patio furniture, all surrounded by year-round flower beds.

Beautiful beaches, close to home, warm almost all year long...and eventually planning to retire to SPI.

What makes this condo unique

It's walking distance to the beach, which my wife and I enjoy it very much. It is also very close to some good restaurants such as PadreRitaVille and Blackbeards and to the local supermarket, the Blue Marlin.

Great Place!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Malbec Unit C. It was a great location and central to both the north and south side of the island activities. Having the beach & restaurants within walking distance is a plus. The house was clean and simple. The manager (Roberto) was very friendly and accommodating. We are looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Good

All in all it was good. However, I would recommend upgrading the pillows and bed linens...the pillows were very stiff and some are made out of plastic so we had a difficult keeping the pillow cases on them and the sheets were really rough. There also weren't enough trash bags for the kitchen and the pool could of used some cleaning. Everything else was good.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. I only wish you have contacted me during your stay to be able to address your concerns. I will address them here for the benefit of future guests. Pillows...all pillows have a water proof cover for sanitary reasons underneath the cotton covers. These covers are very easy to clean and sanitize, but can be removed if desired. Sheets are regular 250 thread, and are of the same kind I use at home. The swimming pool is cleaned twice a week during summer, and I do rounds often to make sure the service is done properly. From time to time I see a bit of sand, but that may be because people comes from the beach and do not shower before getting into the pool. I have checked the pool service records and found pH and chlorine levels to be right on the mark, and there were no other observations in the report. Again, I wish I would have gotten a call or a text message making me aware of a problem during your stay, but I did not get one! We own this property, and take care of it with a lot of pride. I am easy to contact and I believe I am very responsive! (please check all of my previous stellar reviews)

Amazing! Spotless! Great location!

The property was professionally cleaned, smelled great, and was spotless. The owner was very professional and friendly. He was also always available by call or text for any questions that came up. The only thing I didn't realize is that this property only has a shower and no tub. I have a one year old so this made it difficult but not impossible to take him a bath. So if you have a little one this is good to know. Other then that I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. If I plan on going to SPI again I would re-book this place as it met all of my expectations. You are in walking distance to the beach and you have a great view of the fireworks.

Location!Location!Location!

The house was clean and the short walk (3-4 minutes) to the beach was very easy with a 3 and 9 yr old, cooler, and beach chairs in tow. On the days when everyone had enough sand and surf the pool area provided a great escape. The pool area is shared with the occupants of the connecting unit but there was never a problem of it being overcrowded like I've experienced at hotels. We had a great stay at Casa Melbac and we can't wait to return. Roberto has put a lot of effort and thought into the property and it shows. He was very accessible and went above my expectations. Keep up the good work!

Great property!

The property was great, close to the beach and close to entertainment. Nice pool and pergola in the back yard to help escape the heat! Bedrooms were good size. This place had everything we needed for a week vacation. We will definitely be back to stay at this place again!

Fantastic Property and Perfect Location

Can't say enough good things about our stay at Casa Malbec, Unit C. Pet friendly was the main reason we chose this but it ended up being the last reason that we would stay here again. This was our wedding anniversary getaway and I just returned from an overseas deployment with the military so we needed rest and rejuvenation.

The kitchen is updated and is stocked with everything you need to cook and serve with. i would recommend bringing a cutting board and a chef's knife if you like to cook.

The floor, linens and furnishings were immaculate and the pool was sparkling clear. Even with other tenants staying in the other apartments, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The pool area is nicely landscaped and secluded from the surrounding properties.

Location is just right. Took us just five minutes to walk to the beach.

The property owner, Roberto, replied quickly to every question we had and I got the feeling that if we needed anything at anytime he had our back.

I would highly recommend this property for your next vacation! Great price, location, and everything :)
