The perfect getaway for the fisherman, golfer, hunter and family vacationer in Cape Breton’s lush Margaree valley. This brand new cabin with three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and spacious decks is located on the famous Cabot Trail, and features 20 acres of wood-and-pasture land right on the Margaree River (with half a mile of riverfront), one of the most famous Atlantic salmon rivers in the world. Walk down to the best stretch of the river, right between the Forks and Snag pools. The Baddeck and Middle, excellent salmon rivers in their own rights, are only a short drive away. Just 20-minutes away is Cabot Links, the renowned new oceanside links golf course designed by Mike Keiser of Bandon Dunes fame, which is ranked #42 in Golf Digest's 'World's 100 Greatest Courses.' For bird hunters, there’s a dog kennel and access to plentiful woodcock and ruffed grouse shooting nearby. The cabin is a perfect launching point for families or travelers looking to explore the area: Sightsee on the Cabot Trail, hike in the nearby Highlands National Park, visit the Bras d’Or Lakes or spend a day at a nearby beach.
The cabin has three bedrooms (master bedroom has a king bed; bedroom number two has two twins; bedroom number three has two bunk beds). Sleeps six adults comfortably and is kid-friendly. Great kitchen, with all your cooking utensil needs, opens up into the dining area and main room. Screened-in porch, surrounded by a deck, looks out toward the river, onto the valley. A kennel for dogs is located a hundred yards from the cabin. Mud/wader room is located in the front. Wood stove heats the entire cabin easily.
The cabin is just a few miles from a grocery-and-liquor store, and comes with free Wi-Fi access.
Owned by a group of four fun-loving families.

Cape Breton is one of the world's 'last great places.' This cabin is our dream place, located right on one of the best public salmon rivers in the world, with access to hunting, hiking, kids activities, whale-watching, beaches and much more.
The porch is a great place to hang out. The picnic table, in a field down by the river, is perfect for outdoor meals, or for a break during your fishing day.
Listing accurate. Property new and clean. Clever layout of bedrooms allows some privacy while main room with fireplace provides an excellent common space.
The property is large and path down to private fishing hole was one of best features. Although property big and quite private, you can see and sometimes hear dogs and people from houses quite far across the street, but it really was not a significant issue - just an FYI in that it is not totally isolated.
Property is close to grocery store, beaches, and a good coffee shop.
I would stay there again and have already recommended to friends.
I deal for families and groups of friends fishing or golfing
Easy to deal with owner and to get key to property. Property not difficult to find.
Everything as promised. Clean, spacious, comfortable.
Our family of five ( with teens) passed a very peaceful and enjoyable 6 days at your beautiful cabin. We had everything we needed to totally relax and unwind. The Margaree Forks and Camp Acadia with rolling pasture, mist and stars were breathtaking. We were in no hurry to leave in the morning and happy to return every evening after a day of hiking and sightseeing. Thanks for sharing such a lovely location with us- we would definitely love to return.
Had a wonderful stay in Margaree Forks at the house. It served our needs perfectly. Three of us were on a motorcycling trip to Cape Breton. The house was perfect for us to rest and relax after riding the island. It's so quiet and peaceful at night. Conveniences are a very short drive away. This is a great option to hotel/motel or B&B where here you have the privacy to look after yourself. I recommend this place highly. It was perfect for we three adults on a motorcycle trip.
Our family had a magical experience at this amazing brand new property on the Margaree River. The 3 separate buildings connected by decks gave a rustic and yet luxurious feeling. After whale watching, floating the river, beaching it and shopping we came home to our own little paradise on 20 acres! You can tell the owners really love their little slice of heaven since the personal touches, original artwork, wildlife books, all the appliances are top of the line. We can't give this rental enough stars...it's where dreams and lifetime memories are made!
