About Ranald Ross
Owned by a group of four fun-loving families.
Ranald Ross purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Ranald Ross chose Margaree Forks
Cape Breton is one of the world's 'last great places.' This cabin is our dream place, located right on one of the best public salmon rivers in the world, with access to hunting, hiking, kids activities, whale-watching, beaches and much more.
What makes this Cabin unique
The porch is a great place to hang out. The trails cut through the meadows offer a pleasant walk through the wildflowers. The outdoor shower, with views of the surrounding mountains, is not to be missed.

Privacy and convenience were wonderful
My hubby and I, along with our dogs, enjoyed our days (and nights) at Camp Arcadia. We had 20 acres, so very private. Husband played golf at Inverness, we drove the Cabot Trail and went to the national park. Enjoyed the Salmon Museum and the lovely, informative lady who is in charge there. Even enjoyed that fact that there was no TV. We watched DVD's on our computer, read books and had plenty of time to talk to one another. Thanks for sharing your home.
Every traveller's dream
This home was everything and more. The moment you step in, you felt at home. It's incredibly peaceful here, and my goodness the stars at night! Wonderous! Really love the layout, you can tell that the owner put a lot of thoughts and heart into it. Thank you for sharing your home, would love to come back again!
Great for our family holiday!
Great location, the necessities are close by as well as a short drive to the coast/beaches, Chedicamp and Inverness. Great landing spot for our family at the end of each day with a beautiful view. I wish we were there longer!!
The property was a great location for exploring Cape Breton and very private and relaxing for a family trip. There was everything that we needed in the house although there is not a dishwasher as outlined in the listing. Overall great place to stay.
We really enjoyed Camp Arcadia for our stay in Cape Breton. Cabin layout offered quiet space for grandparents traveling with family of 4. Kitchen was well stocked and whole place was clean. Would stay there again!
Excellent property to serve as your base for exploring Cape Breton. The layout is perfect for families; the bedrooms are completely separate from the common areas allowing for younger or older guests to easily go to sleep while others enjoy the property. The property was very well appointed with everything you need for a great family experience. Outstanding views of the mountains and direct access to river make it hard to match.
