Three bedroom, three full bath corner condo with two balconies.
Affordable ocean front condos can be rather, shall we say, "cozy", or maybe just plain small! This end unit in luxurious Horizon East offers a spacious exception. Two master bedrooms, each with full bath and a sliding door to a balcony with a breathtaking view of blue sky and golden sand, and the soothing sound of the waves. The third bedroom has twin beds and enjoys a nice view of the colorful rooftops of Garden City. A well equipped full kitchen, comfortably furnished dining and living areas provide plenty of space to sit back and enjoy the relaxing sound of the ocean. When you're ready to feel the soft warm sand between your toes, the Garden City beach is right out from the lobby.
The three bedrooms are one level, no stairs to climb. The front master bedroom has a TV and a king size bed, the balcony side master bedroom has a TV and a queen bed, there are twin beds and a TV in the third bedroom, and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. Two elevators from the lobby provide handicapped access to the condo. Sliding balcony doors at both ends of the sixth floor condo will create a delightful flow through breeze year 'round. In addition, ceiling fans keep cool air moving in every room. The bedrooms have closets and dressers to provide ample storage space. Horizon East is a concrete structure, and this is an end unit, you're unlikely to be disturbed by neighbors above or next door.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, stove with oven, microwave, toaster, small appliances, pots and pans, with plenty of counter space for food preparation. Dishes, glassware and tableware are on hand. There are two barbecue grills for guests to use. Linens are provided, beds will be made, some soap, paper towels and trash bags will be on hand. You will not begin your vacation by making beds or running to the store to get toilet paper!
Garden City is perfect for a family vacation, away from the traffic and crowds, but still a short drive to attractions, with over 100 golf courses within a few miles. The Garden City Beach pier, restaurants and shops are .7 of a mile south from Horizon East. The Surfside Beach pier, restaurants, bars and shopping are a short drive (or a pleasant, longer walk) north. Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. All the attractions, dining and shopping of Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand, and the Myrtle Beach downtown boardwalk are just a bit further north. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden. It's just a few minutes south.
Here is the place to enjoy the ocean and beach with plenty of space.

very spacious and nicely furnished. Exactly as the description stated except for a couple of things. In one of the closets there was a cat playhouse. We assume that this belongs to the owners. We have 2 family members that are highly allergic to cats and if they had been with us we would not have been able to stay there which knocks us out on renting it when we bring our grandchildren with us. So you may want to make a note some where about the cat. And the other is no pets, however when we arrived there is a list of rules, again no pets, except with owners permission. I don't even ask when the description says NO pets. Would have loved to know this and maybe we could have brought our small dog with us. On a lighter note they were doing some electrical work in the complex while we were there and my husband was on the balcony and looked down at the beach and written in sand was this message: HORIZON EAST WE WILL BE TURNING OFF THE ELECTRIC IN AN HOUR. We just thought this was funny and not knowing how long it was written.
My husband and I had an extended stay in this large condo two years in a row and each time was perfect. The view doesn't get any better, and maintence needs, if any, are addressed immediately, even in the busy season, which is rare. It is right on the beach and within walking distance- via street or beach to the Garden City Pier and it's surrounding restaurants. This is by far our favorite place to stay when in the Myrtle Beach area.
We stayed for a week in early august; the unit was very comfortable for four people. The check-in arrangements were fine, and the unit was completely clean and ready, although it is showing some wear and tear. The unit is well equipped and everything worked fine, except that the TV's were not connected properly. The public areas in the condo really need some attention though. The beach was always clean and maintained.
The biggest problem we had was other occupants in the building. The public deck (six floors below us) was supposed to be closed at midnight, but every night we were there a big party taking place. These people were loud, abusive, cursing and jumping in the pool at 1:00. They woke us up even with all the windows closed and over the ocean's roar. The next morning, I asked the 24 hour "security" guard about it, and he said that they were told not to do it; apparently following the rules is optional in this place. We were told that this group were "owners" and somehow that was supposed to allow loutish behavior. Later that day we were confronted by one of the rowdies because the building manager thought it was a good idea to tell him that we were the ones complaining.
If you want to sleep at night, stay away from this building.
Myrtle Beach is a unique vacation destination that has a little bit of everything, and no matter which one of our Myrtle Beach home rentals you choose, you’ll be nearby beautiful beaches, shopping centers, golf courses, fishing, restaurants, theaters and nightlife. Perfect for either families or couples, our Myrtle Beach home rentals offer luxurious and convenient amenities; beautiful décor; access to pristine beaches; and magical views of the sparkling Atlantic Ocean!
The Grand Strand is a large stretch of beautiful beaches where many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals are located. Once a hiding place popular among notorious pirates, today among America’s most popular vacation destinations, Myrtle Beach’s Grand Strand offers a wide variety of recreation and entertainment activities. Start with miles and miles of golden soft sand on a shore that slopes gently into the Atlantic. The Grand Strand was voted #1 in the USA (#6 in the world) in a recent poll of frequent travelers.
The communities just south of our Grand Strand Myrtle Beach home rentals, Surfside Beach and Garden City, are our most “family friendly” areas and offer scores of reasonably priced ocean front Myrtle Beach condo rentals for family enjoyment of the warm sunshine, sand, and the vast Atlantic. Many of these condos are large enough to accommodate several families, a perfect reunion setting.
Golf is the “national” pastime of The Grand Strand. Some say you can play a different course every day of the year. That’s probably an exaggeration, but certainly you can play 36 holes a day for a week, (or a month) without seeing the same course twice. There are well over 100 golf courses to choose from near many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals. Fishing is the lesser-known area sport. Inland waterways and shallow coastline areas offer anglers lots of action, with guides available to show the way.
A perfect family vacation area, there are dozens of attractions and amusement parks close to many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals for kids of all ages. The new SkyWheel, a 200 foot high Ferris wheel, is an amazing attraction and is said to be among the largest in the world. Also not far from many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals are zoos, an aquarium (with a dozen species of sharks!), science and curiosity exhibits and museums for family entertainment. Surfside Beach and Garden City both offer amusement parks the kids and parents alike will love.
For a combination of art, culture and nature many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals are right near Brookgreen Gardens. This 9,000 acre park exhibits one of the largest collections of sculpture by American artists in the world. The manicured lawns with walkways and pools beautifully enhance these spectacular works of art.
Restaurants are everywhere, with options for every taste and budget. Just about every cuisine in the world seems to be represented all only a short ways from many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals. Seafood is, of course, the staple, there are a large selection of places to get all you want. Murrell’s Inlet says it’s the Seafood Capital of South Carolina, and boasts a long row of highly regarded seafood restaurants to prove it.
Nightlife? If you’re not worn out yet, choose from live popular music, professionally produced stage shows, and “tribute” acts that pay homage to the legends of popular music, playing “oldies” that are sure to bring back memories.
