In the heart of the city, Rue Daguerre is walking distance to Notre Dame, Pantheon, St Germain, Jardins du Luxembourg & Montparnasse. It benefits from excellent communications with the rest of the city thanks to the two metro lines, high speed RER underground and bus connections from Place Denfert Rochereau - Notre Dame/St Michel just 3 stops/6 mins! We recommend using the buses - slightly slower but you get to see the city and its people as you go by.
We live in Britanny and this apartment is our city home. We chose it because of the Rue Daguerre atmosphere, the convenience of having market fresh food shopping on the doorstep, the central Paris location and fantastic transport connections. Clean and cared for, our guests tell us that being a real 2nd home makes a difference.
I am a company director and live in Wokingham in the UK. My wife is French and we spend a lot of time in France - Paris, Brittany and Les Deux Alpes.
John Newman purchased this apartment in 2009
We lived by the sea in Brittany for 6 years and wanted a holiday home in Paris. We fell in love with the village atmosphere around the market street Rue Daguerre. The market fresh produce on our doorstep makes visiting Paris doubly enjoyable. It is extremely well situated for transport within Paris (Metro 4&6, RERB) and direct connections to CDG, Orly and Eurostar.
The flat is bathed in light and enjoys stunning rooftop views towards the Montparnasse Tower (and the Eiffel Tower beacon at night). Rue Daguerre has a village feel with market-fresh seafood, meat, vegetables, fruit, cheese and bread on your doorstep. The place makes you feel like a real Parisian.
This is long overdue.
I want you to know that we thoroughly enjoyed your lovely apartment that we used during the week between Christmas and the New Year.
All of our expectations were met. The apartment was lovely and comfortable and the location was the best. Being so near the metro was an added plus and we used it always.
We enjoyed shopping on Rue Duguerre, thank you so very much for accommodating us. It was just great.

Have stayed at this lovely apartment many times now. It's fantastically located - close to the RER B line which goes direct to Charles De Gaulle airport via central Paris, just round the corner from the catacombs and a short walk from the beautiful Luxembourg gardens. It sits on Rue Lalande which bisects the pedestrianised Rue Daguerre, which in turn boasts multiple butchers, cheese shops, a fish mongers, several greengrocers and numerous bars and restaurants.
The flat itself has a well appointed kitchen, a large double bedroom (rare in Paris) and an even bigger sitting room with a sofa bed so we can stay there with our two small children. The daughter of the concierge (who speaks French, Portuguese and English) helpfully and cheerfully baby sat for us at short notice.
Recommended in every way!
Everything promised was delivered upon. A fantastic place from which to experience all of Paris. The neighborhood is very interesting in and of itself. The location of the Metro makes getting anywhere extremely easy. John was very helpful and responsive to any of our questions. You will not be disappointed. We will be back.
It's a good apartment in a good location. Clean, new, good for 3-4 people because the living room sleeper sofa is quite comfortable. Nice eat-in kitchen too. Very sunny. The only issue is if you need to sleep with windows open (such as during hot summer nights), the noise of trucks early morning is disturbing. Otherwise, I am quite happy with the it and will see if I can stay there again.
It was very clean and well equipped for all of our needs. The shower was amazing, may now need to get one like it for home. Fatima was very gracious to let us in when we arrived early and after we locked ourselves out of the flat. The area was great for having everything you needed within walking distance. It is also very close to the Metro. It is definitely a great place to stay, home away from home.
Apartment appears newly renovated. In a fun neighborhood. Nice bathroom and shower. Quiet. Roomy. Very secure. Living room couch could use replacement; not comfortable to sit, and probably even less to sleep if apt. is used by a family of 4.
From the beginning our host was an easily accessed and helpful. The concierge who greeted us was equally helpful on arrival and with a quick tutorial on kitchen tools the next morning. The host's directions and detailed, written apt info were also on the mark. The light filled, big windowed kitchen, living/dining rooms and bedroom were all good sized and well equipped. For a Paris apt the kitchen was exceptionally large, with washer/dryer, dishwasher, stovetop, microwave and small table. The bathroom was modern and similarly functional. The entry way and elevator were easily accessed, crisp and modern. Views of Paris rooftops and Tour Monpartnasse from this 5th (6th US) location were constant reminders you were in Paris. Rue Daguerre was even better than promised, packed with Parisians, take out traiteurs, food shops, wine shops, groceries, pharmacies, multiple patisseries and more. Nearby cafes and restaurants met all needs not met in the shops. Move in, live a neighborhood life, or hop a bus, Metro #4 or RER B for quick access to the rest of Paris. Hooray!

If you fancy something prepared there are a wide choice of French, Italian, Greek, Moroccan, Chinese, Japanese traiteurs and delicatessens. And of course, more restaurants than you will have evenings ...
