Overview

New Mexico Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Beautiful modern mountain cabin with all high end amenities INSIDE national forest.

Summer and Winter wonderland!

The home is all on one level - no stairs of any kind (except the exterior stairs down to the hutub) King bed in the master and two queen beds in the guest rooms - all plush pillow top beds.

Awesome master bath with giant cast iron tub, perfect for two if you don't feel like sitting in the hot tub :-)

Extreme privacy - this is one of the only properties like this in the Santa Fe area - a true mountain paradise get away, yet so close to town.

Out door enthusiasts will love it here, bring your mountain bikes in the summer and your cross country ski's in the winter, ski right out the front door!

The home has ample deck and patio space overlooking the creek and hot tub, perfect for out door entertaining.

Cool temps in the summer when downtown is hot! Encantado resort is right down the road for world class dining and spa services.

There is a 2 mile dirt road to the property and the last 1/2 mile is a little bumpy and it can get muddy or snowy depending on the weather...

Please note that an SUV or all wheel drive vehicle may be preferable in case of inclement weather, especially winter months when a 4x4 is needed.

Please read the reviews and check out the video tour!

About Brian Bodei

My name is Brian and I have lived in this paradise for over 17 years and now its time to share.

Brian Bodei purchased this cabin in 1995

Why Brian Bodei chose New Mexico

This is the only location thats this close to Santa Fe, inside the national forest, on a stream that affords total privacy and high quality of living. I feel so blessed to have been able to live up here all these years. I can never get over how beautiful Pacheco Canyon is!

What makes this cabin unique

This home was designed by and award winning designer - no boring architecture here. The home was planned to feel like the outdoors and indoors were one, and I truly think we succeeded. Sitting by the creek, watching the humming birds, having margaritas on the deck - or in the hot tub. Mountain biking and skiing right out the front door - endless miles of hiking and exploring, watching the birds - it never gets old! The only problem with staying up here is that you will not want to leave....Santa whaa?

Great house!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 8 adults had a delightful week-long stay at this fabulous house. If you enjoy a peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle of city life this place is for you. it has many high-end amenities, but is very family friendly. Brian, the owner, stocks the kitchen, baths, and bird feeders with plenty of necessities. The hummingbirds are so much fun to watch. We also had a visit from a bobcat one morning. Be sure to bring plenty of food and drinks as the local grocery store is quite expensive, but the restaurant there is great. One of the best places we visited was Roswell. Do plan on a full day visit to see everything.

Enjoy your visit. We sure did.

Really Lovely

  • 5 of 5

My grown family of 7 stayed in this lovely cabin for a long week earlier this summer. It was perfect! Brian was extremely attentive. The cabin is gorgeous....well appointed and fun to hang out and cook in. We had great access to trails, rock climbing, historic sites (Los Alamos, cliff dwellings, Abiqui) the opera and downtown Santa Fe. I highly recommend this super nice vacation home. What a treat to find a place online that actually is as nice as it looks in the pictures!

Gorgeous Home, Gorgeous Location

  • 5 of 5

Wow. This is the home I'll build when I win the lottery. The house itself is so pretty and comfortable. The stone wall running throughout the house, the many large windows with views of the forest, stream and tree tops, the stocked kitchen with high-end appliances, and the beds ... extremely comfortable with sheets that are nicer than what I have in my home. It's really the location, though, that has the starring role -- the home is set inside the Santa Fe National Forest with lovely trees providing shade, a stream perfect for cooling off your feet after a hike, and easy access to world-class trails. Bring your food because you won't want to leave the place once you arrive.

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

The pictures don't do it justice. Gorgeous home and property. Plenty of hiking close by and Sante Fe only 20 minutes away. The creek in front was rushing all day and night. Loved waking up and going to bed with the sound. When we arrived Brian had music playing for us. Nice touch. We can't wait to get back!

Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Most relaxing mini vacation I've had in years. Beautiful property in the mountains. Great hikes. Incredible views. Great place to get away from civilization. Part of the fun is getting there. 4 X 4 is a must and what a thrill to make it up there. Will go again next hopefully.

Don't stay here, so its open for me to stay

  • 5 of 5

I hesitate to write a review for this place, because I don't want to share it. If you love nature, seclusion, quiet, and nature - this is the cabin for you. The pictures don't begin to do it justice. The cabin was specifically built for the plot of land that it sits on. Windows throughout the cabin allow nature in. Lay in bed at night and watch the stars and see the tree branches sway gently in the wind. Step out the front glass doors onto the deck and listen to the gentle lull of the creek right below you. In the winter, you can sit in the living room and watch the snowflakes. In the summer, open all the glass doors and windows and literally bring nature inside. You can walk or drive a bit down the canyon road at sunset and see the most amazing sunset you will ever see. Sitting in the morning drinking coffee and watching the birds and squirrels feast on the property is just spectacular. All of this, and you are only 20 minutes from downtown Santa Fe.

I have traveled the world and stayed in many private homes, but this place is by far my very favorite. Simple put, it is healing to the soul. I hope you don't pick this special place so I can keep this secret all to myself.

Owner's Response: Lisa, Thank you so much! I really appreciate return guests like yourselves and I feel truly blessed that you enjoy the cabin so much. I too feel like the canyon is healing to the soul, I have been up here for over 20 years now and this is where my heart lives. Thanks so much and looking forward to seeing you again soon! Brian
