You will feel at home in this neighborhood. Great neighbors, great restaurants, and it's very safe. This is an old neighborhood, filled with the energy of youth. This apartment is so close to the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospital, and Case Western Reserve University that you can literally walk there. Unbelievable Italian restaurants within blocks. 3 minute drive to Cleveland Clinic.
The area has the energy of youth, and the wisdom of age all in one place.
For my purposes, this was a good place: quiet street but close to Little Italy restaurants and the museums of University Circle. The description said "this rental is just one block from the local Red line Rapid station". That's a lie. It's .4 miles (5 short blocks, 8 minute walk) to the Little Italy Rapid station. Why lie?
The review that said "man cave" is accurate in the sense that most interior decorators would not use threaded galvanized pipe to fashion towel racks and coat hooks. It's unusual but functional. The house was clean and the beds, bathroom, and kitchen were fine, so the crudeness of the interior design wasn't a problem for me.
We enjoyed listening to some 33rpm records on the turntable.
this is the second time in a year that we stayed at this lovely apt. it definitely is our go to place in cleveland. w/in walking distance of charming little italy with its great restaurants, bakeries and fun shops. parking is easy. place itself is just wonderful and comfortable. the added touch of all those vinyl records makes it the perfect place for a rock and roll hall of fame long weekend. first time was with hubby and kids, 2d time girls weekend. both rocked. owner response time is immediate, tho we really didn't need much as everything was taken care of. thank you!
My family had a great weekend in Cleveland's Little Italy. The apartment has a perfect location within a five minute walk of Mayfield Road. It was clean and had a large selection of movies and records. Contact with the owner was great. We would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was very well equipped and clean. This was not a luxury hotel, but having said that it was everything we needed for our stay in Cleveland, comfortable beds, nice plush soft towels. Comfortable and very clean. Just what we needed and Adam was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. Little Italy was great, lots of great places to eat, and everything just a short walk away!
Everything was great! Communication was clear, and the place was really nice and charming. There were three of us staying there, and there was enough bedding and towels for everything.
There's a TV with a ton of movies and games if you want to stay in at nights. Neighbors were quiet and parking wasn't a problem (which surprised us, because Little Italy can be a bit notorious for having nowhere to park).
The neighborhood is pretty incredible, too. Breakfast at Presti's, dinner at Maxi's, a nice walk down to the Happy Dog on Sunday night, it was pretty perfect!
Will definitely book again.
Great house! This is our 2nd time staying at this property, the first time we were in the upper unit and this time in the lower. Very well maintained and well stocked. Everything you would need in the kitchen and plenty of towels/blankets, etc. Little Italy has a great atmosphere and great food. We had short, inexpensive Uber ride to downtown Cleveland for more entertainment. Owner is very responsive- we will definitely stay at his property again when we visit Cleveland!
Parades, Festivals, and Churches; Art Museum, Botanical Garden, Natural History Museum, Western Reserve Historical Society, Severence Hall, Cleveland Institute of Music, and the Cleveland Institute of Art; Shops, Bars, and a variety of ethnic restaurants within walking and driving distance. And local Bocce ball court just down the street, great fun during the summer months.
