I was born in Moscow, Russia. I have a Master's degree in the Middle East Studies from Moscow State University. So, I speak English, Russian and Arabic.
I have been living in the Washington, DC area since 1985. I used to teach at Johns Hopkins University before I started my own business. I am very social and I am usually fascinated with any human story.
I love Washington, DC and I believe that it is very easy to fall in love with this city with its ethnic and cosmopolitan spirit.
Natasha Spivack purchased this apartment in 2009
While the houset is located only 3,5 miles from the White House, it feels like an idyllic countryside retreat with deer coming to your back yard and biking/hiking trails just at your doorstep. It the words of our visitors, this place is the best kept secret in DC.
We totally enjoyed our stay in DC!! Natasha is so friendly and hospitable. Her apartment is cozy and quaint and the neighborhood is beautiful! Natasha was very accomodating to our animals, offering to dog sit if we needed her to. We will definitely be staying here when we come to DC. Thank you Natasha
Natasha's apartment is tiny but has everything one needs. The common area adjacent also has a pool table and more room for lounging. The location can't be beat if you want to be near Rock Creek Park, the Zoo, etc.. Natasha is a lovely and gracious host (she lives in the house above the apartment). It was a little chilly, being a basement apartment, but felt cozy, very clean and well maintained. The metro passes, maps, menus, and travel guides were really helpful.
Enjoyed our stay in the DC area so much. Just a quick visit but the apartment was very comfortable and located in a nice little area near a park. The dogs enjoyed the yard and everything was topnotch. Thank you Natasha and family!
Natasha truly welcomes you to her home. She functions as a tour guide in a sense by telling you all you need to know about the area and how to make your stay as comfortable as possible. She goes the extra mile, literally, by transporting you to the Metro at the end (and/or beginning) of your stay, and she even helped by printing out a ticket--she does what she can to help. The apartment is adequate and comfortable. The only downside is that the property is a bit far from the downtown area, so unless you have a car, it's not feasible to go back and forth to the sights. Public transportation is do-able but it's a lengthy walk to and from the bus stop (and I'm an avid walker). The apartment was well represented in the listing; it was clean and served our purposes for our Washington stay. The highlight of this property is Natasha herself and the warmth and helpfulness she offers.
The apartment is sweet and very clean. In the kitchen is all what you need. That's good for a longer stay. You can parking in front of the apartment. WiFi is included.
There is a good connection to the city with all the sights. I would like to stay here again when I'm back here.
By the way: Natasha is a great host. She is very very friendly and has a lot of good advices to Washington.
My husband and I spend 2 nights in this cute little apartment while visiting DC. Natasha was very welcoming and gracious - she gave us multiple rides to few places, was always available to answer questions and help with whatever we needed. We were also provided with a couple bikes that were a great way of exploring the surrounding area including a gorgeous park nearby, going to metro station, biking around downtown, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much! thank you!
