Voted the number one Island in the U.S.Traveler's Choice Awards for 2014, this beautiful Marco Island home is 3/10ths of a mile from the beach. The house features a lovely heated pool and large screened lanai with southern exposure. The kitchen is fully equipped with Tramontina cookware, and anything the person who loves to cook would need. The house is a split bedroom design with the master bedroom on one side of the house and the other two bedrooms located on the other side. The master has a king bed, 36' flat screen HD TV, and has a slider to pool and lanai. The Master bath has a large walk-in shower with two shower heads. The two additional bedrooms include one with a queen bed that also adjoins the lanai area and the other has two twin beds. There is a full bathroom between the guest rooms. Beautiful tile floors throughout. Living room has flat screen TV. Cable TV, wireless internet and unlimited nationwide calling are included. There is a full-size washer/dryer as well as a garage. We have a cooler, chairs, beach umbrellas and assorted beach toys and a wagon to easily pull them to the beach. Everything you need is here. Just come and enjoy the spectacular sunsets and relax in your private pool. This home is just what the doctor ordered!

Lenny and I fell in love with Marco Island on our first visit in 2012. We currently live in Pennsylvania and hope to spend our retirement years on beautiful Marco Island. Our goal is for you to have the perfect vacation experience at our Marco Island pool home.

Walk to South beach or the new Crystal Shores access in 6 minutes or relax in your private, heated pool in your screened Lanai with southern exposure. The master bedroom has sliding doors to the Lanai and pool area as well as one of the guest rooms. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and twin beds in the third bedroom. The home sits on a very private corner lot in one of the most desirable areas on the Island. In the garage you will find beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, cooler and anything else you would need. Enjoy mangoes, oranges and grapefruits in season from the yard. Escape the rat race but stay in touch with your free hi-speed internet access, HD TV and unlimited nationwide calling. This house is truly an Island paradise.

A great vacation opportunity

This was our second extended stay in this property and our thirteenth vacation on Marco Island. During those vacations we have stayed in beachfront apartments and private villas with pools on waterways.

970 Valley Avenue is situated very conveniently at the south end of the island within easy walking distance of beach access,shops,cinema and restaurants.

The property is undergoing a programme of refurbishment and during our stay we benefitted from a complete replacement of seating, tables, lamps and rugs in the lounge area. The house was very clean and well prepared on our arrival.

It is well equipped and is enhanced by a private south facing pool area with a new gas barbecue.

The house is well managed locally and the owners, Cathy and Lenny provide very good customer service and respond and deal with any issues immediately.

970 Valley Avenue is good value and compares very favourably with our previous accommodations. It will continue to be our first choice for any future visits to Marco Island.

Great place to stay!

This was our second stay at this home this year. We love the location and the home is spacious. It has everything we need. We loved the pool. We had fresh oranges and lemons from the trees and the new Pinchers restaurant opened up while we were there. It's only about two blocks away so we walked to dinner while others were trying to find parking at the new restaurant (the grouper and Cole slaw were great). The weather was in the 80's everyday and the full moon extended the time we could be outdoors. It was snowing and blow zero back home. I highly recommend Reel Kind Shelling trips. Our group found 5 Junonias on our trip to Shell Island, we didn't find any but others in our group did. All in all a really great trip. Thanks Cathy for loaning us your beautiful home.

Palm Breeze - Marco Island

Originally probably a very well presented property but is now due for a substantial refurbishment. Lounge soffas have reached their sell-by date and need replacement. Linens, towels and bedding (only used Master bedroom) need replacement and a lot of clutter in drawers, closets etc needs clearing. Sent email to owners regarding our disappointment with general state of villa, but had no reply. Location is very good and a family with pets would probably find it suitable but five star it isn't.

Owner's Response: The day after arrival, the guests called saying they could not get the cable on. We spent 45 minutes trying to explain that they were turning the cable box off when they turned the TV on. There was NO mention of any displeasure with the property. Ten days into a two-week stay they decided to complain. We have wonderful property managers who live five minutes from the house and will drop everything and come over if there is any issue. Their number is right on the fridge with instructions to call if anything is wrong. They were never contacted by these guests. In an email they stated “Furniture now back to positions shown in sales photos.” Back to positions shown in sales photos?? In the dining room out of sight we have a heavy piece of furniture that holds brochures, games, discount coupons, take-out menus etc. for our guests (and yes, it can seem cluttered to some). They moved that heavy piece of furniture into the living room prominently displayed under the TV (a place where it has never resided). It is so heavy we had to hire someone to move it back. I can understand moving a chair out of a bedroom (which they also did) but moving heavy furniture? Why would someone travel from Europe to the US for a vacation and re-arrange furniture? The renters stated “We have spent quite some time cleaning all areas - including using steam mop twice - and Jackie has been running the washing m/c daily. Towels and linens appear to have been used then put back unwashed. ” I can say unequivocally that the linens were not put away used. Most of our reviews state how clean the house is when they arrive. The guests went on to say “There was a broken lamp holder in the main bedroom and a variety of small jobs that I was able to fix-the cupboards, garage and drawers hold a wealth of assorted potions, liquids and tools to sort out such minor troubles.” Again, any problem could have been quickly addressed by our manager. However, it’s interesting that it is no longer clutter at this point. As for the living room furniture…this much was true. We had been searching for the perfect living room set for some time and it was purchased and delivered last month. We are in the process of replacing the dinette set as well. I buy the best sheets, towels and linens for the house. We try to anticipate every need and we are constantly upgrading. Most guests will tell you that the house exceeded their expectations. Please read our other reviews and give this review the attention it deserves.

Voted # 1 Best Island in the U.S. in 2014 by travelers! There are endless activities on Marco Island starting with its sugar white sand beaches, shelling, sailing, biking and sunbathing. There are numerous restaurants, a comedy club, movie theater, museums and nature walks. Many of the local restaurants will cook your own catch for a small price. Happy hours abound and the Island has a casual, friendly feel to it. There are three supermarkets and tons of unique shops. Naples is just a short drive away for more dining and shopping.
