You will be as cozy as a bug in a rug with fireplaces in master bedroom and one of the two family areas as well as chiminea outdoors on deck overlooking lake.
You can leave the hustle of city life while enjoying amenities of which we have all become accustomed; four TVs, VCR, DVD, WiFi, stereo speakers inside and out, microwave, ice maker, gas grill, and charcoal grill - why you can even cook a whole pig on the sunken bathtub pit! Newly added outdoor kitchen under covered patio.
Services such as catering, stocking the refrigerator, airport transportation, part-time attendant, or even live entertainment can be arranged for your group (of course, there is an additional charge for these services). For any amateur pianist, there is an old upright piano.
Here are your sleeping arrangements: master has king-sized bed with private bath, two queen-sized bedrooms down(one with private bath), one loft bedroom with queen-size bed and private bath, and one loft with four twins. The rest of you will either be on the sleep sofa in den or you will need to bring a sleeping bag. At any rate, you will be sharing the downstairs bath!
So whether you are reading a book on the screened-in porch, resting on the dock with your feet dangling in the water, taking a walk on the 50-acre property, looking for all the turkey, deer, and various other wildlife, sitting in the boat wetting your line, shooting clays, pitching horseshoes, or just plain kicking back - this is sure to be a time your family or group will long remember!
Ya'll come soon, ya hear?

Why Ann Rose Bowcock chose Haddock
We enjoy the escape to the 'Eagle's Nest' surrounded by the serenity of nature.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Just gazing across the 10 acre lake is enough to lower my blood pressure but my husband likes to go out on the pontoon boat and wet a hook. We also like to take a 4 wheeler ride in the early mornings or evenings. Jack likes to grill our dinner in the outdoor kitchen where we can sit and visit with each other. We also enjoy having friends and family gather at the 'Eagle's Nest' where the children can play and enjoy outdoor activities.

50th Birthday Celebration
My family of 15 celebrated my husband's 50th birthday with a bang. We very much enjoyed our time at the Eagles Nest. We celebrated with our family using all the comfortable beds and had plenty of elbow room for 5 families with the kids enjoying the loft (single beds) and each couple enjoying their own space in each individual bedroom from a full to king beds. The cabin is comfortably decorated in a rustic style right up our alley. The layout was very accommodating for several families to spread out to eat and just relax. The dock for fishing and screened in porch were favorites places to enjoy each other. We enjoyed activities as fishing, paddleboating, hiking, clay shooting, jazzuci soaking, riding our golfcarts on the trails and of course the fire ring for the cool evenings. The place was very peaceful and beautiful-feeling like you were in your own world enjoying a special corner of the world. Everyone felt like it is home and had the chance to cook together, read or just nap. The chance to take pictures and hike were also favorite things to do while not being so far away from home, a store and antiquing and exploring the small town....we hope to return to splash in the fountain and enjoy a bike ride too as well as let the world catch up to us for a change....thanks to the owners for being such a terrific couple and offering their" Laughing Place" to share for our special retreat.
Thank you Susan for sharing and we're so glad you all found the "Eagle's Nest" as your special corner of the world! Please come back!
We enjoyed the property to include the amazing nature trail around the lake and saw many beautiful deer!
It's such a beautiful time of year to enjoy the great outdoors on all 50 acres of the "Eagle's Nest".
bike race weekend
wonderful property for a gathering of friends or family. the lake was beautiful. there were plenty of beds for couples and singles. the kitchen made it simple to prepare meals for our group of 11. ample parking for multiple cars. the fire pit was a hit every night. we all agreed that a return trip would be in order without a pesky 125 mile bike race to get in the way. next time we would bring a few fishing rods, a couple of shotguns and clay targets to truly use everything the property had to offer.
Thanks for letting us stay at Eagles Nest Retreat. We enjoyed every minute there. The adults and kids stayed in the lake most of the time or rode ATVs on the trails. The days and nights were so peaceful and quiet even with seven children and six adults at times. At the end of our stay it was agreed we had to come back and was better than going to the beach. Ann/Jack, Sam especially thanks you as this was his first trip and really enjoyed the water and riding in the boat.
It tickles us PINK to know that the "Eagle's Nest" was host to a great family retreat for ya'll! There is activities here for all ages and still opportunity to soak in the peace and quiet of be surrounded by Mother Nature. We invite you to come back soon!
Perfect Holiday Family Retreat
We chose the Eagle's Nest as the location for our extended family Thanksgiving weekend (7 adults, 4 children). The location was exactly half-way between our families in Ohio and Florida. The house had everything we needed and the local grocery had everything we needed for a traditional turkey dinner. There was more than enough space for everyone. We spent most of our time outdoors enjoying every acre of the amazing property. Between exploring the trails and woods, to imaginary pirate adventures on the pond, the kids couldn't have had more fun. The adults enjoyed fishing, hiking, shooting skeet and evenings by the fire pit. We will be back!!!
Friends 4th getaway!
Three fAmilies with 6 kids descended on the nest and had a blast! The kids loved the paddle boat, the john boat, the hot tub and the fountain! They also enjoyed the cool slot machine! There was plenty of seating inside and out! The owners were friendly and accomodating!
