Rudy Weber 6074675176 purchased this house in 2011
Very comfortable, easy to manage, and plenty of space to be alone.
Walking distance to village, short drive to Parks. Quiet interior, great sleeping!

We had an excellent stay at Rudy's rental house. It was clean, in a quiet neighborhood and just want we wanted for our visit to see family and friends during the Delaware County fair. At check in, Rudy was very helpful in describing the restaurants and other interesting things in the area. We ended up not eating there very much because we were not in Deposit for most of our meals. We did go out for breakfast once and it was very good and a reasonable price.
I would take off 1/4 of a star because there are no laundry machines in the house. But only 1/4 star because the new and clean laundromat is only a short walk away (100 yards?) .
Rudy and Ann's place was the perfect home away from home for the weekend! First of all it is beautifully renovated! and had all the amenities of our own home. Every room was spotless! The hot water ran in no time at all. Rudy left great info on the town in case we had any other needs and to top it off he left us a jar of his own homemade blueberry jam! Also our travel time to our daughter's camp (French Woods) was only about 25 minutes!
My only wish is that we had time to use the grill on the back deck. We will definitely be back to use it...and to get more of that jam!
We just loved Rudy and Ann's little house! It was immaculate and so well appointed with antique furniture and furnishings. Hot water for showering was plentiful and all the amenities that we needed were there. It was perfect for our getaway. The town of Deposit,NY proved to be a gold mine of history. We gave ourselves a walking tour and then drove around some more. The townspeople were friendly and more than willing to talk with us. We liked the fact that all the stores were Mom and Pop stores. There was not one chain store in sight, especially no Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts!! Rudy and Ann were gracious hosts and have done a spectacular job renovating their rental property. We were amazed when looking at the before and after photos. I speak for my cousins and myself when I say that we would highly recommend a visit to Deposit and a stay at Rudy and Ann's little house. We hope to return ourselves!!
My wife and I (early retirement age) spent 10 wonderful days in Rudy's house in Deposit. Everything was super about the house: clean, convenient and comfortable, nicely decorated, and in good location. We were exploring the house every day and still did not go through everything it had: good collection of books, old and new games, and you name it. Sometimes we felt as we were in a household history museum. 5-min walk to restaurants, pharmacy, movie theater, and stores. 10-min walk to sports grounds. Relaxed town with old decorated houses, view of wooded mountains, and clean air. Highly recommend as a place to relax.
My husband and I just returned from our stay in Deposit NY. The home was spotlessly clean, and was stocked with almost every essential for our week away. It is very apparent that the owners spent a great deal of time creating a delightful atmosphere for a vacation getaway. Rudy, the owner, even personally delivered some homemade jam, which we enjoyed each morning with our breakfast in the lovely dining room. Deposit is a very small town. Some shops are not open every day, so you will need to plan for this. We enjoyed the Deposit Closet - a second hand store. My husband got 9 silk ties there for $2.25. The Chinese restaurant was surprisingly good, although we did "take out". It lacked atmosphere for sure. The Italian restaurant had pretty good subs. The best by far was Koo Koose Grille in Deposit. Surprisingly upscale for its location. Compares with some of the best dining I've ever experienced. The library has books for sale inside, so be sure to check it out when they are open. We got several at bargain prices. They also had a few racks out front with free books and cds - we enjoyed this very much! During the week, we ventured off in many directions, and found the most interesting antique shops in Walton, about a half hour drive. We had a great meal at Danny's - excellent bread and herbed butter. Oquaga State Park was lovely, just a few minutes away, with a swimming beach and refreshment stand, clean showers and bathrooms. We took our dog there, and she loved it. Dogs just can't go on the sandy beach area. The town of Hancock was nice, although some places we would have gone in to were closed. We enjoyed the Circle E Diner. In Sidney, we ate at the Trackside - simple but good food. We took a drive to Binghamton - of course a larger city - with a wonderful independent book store. We enjoyed our meal at The Lost Dog - and would probably make the drive again just to eat there. Deposit was a nice quiet safe town - I enjoyed my daily early morning walks with my dog - If you are looking for big city excitement, look elsewhere. If you want a peaceful quiet getaway, with beautiful scenery, small town charm and nice drives through the open countryside - this would be the place. Rudy, our host - was also very respectful of our privacy. As noted, almost everything we needed was there for us - the only thing missing was a teflon fry pan. We needed it to make eggs(got one at the Family Dollar in town). We would certainly consider a return visit to this home.
Great property and lovely home. Perfect for groups and families. I was visiting my son at Frenchwoods, this property is reasonably close and exceptionally comfortable in a nice small community.
