Overview

Queens Apartment Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 2 Queen Tempur-Pedic Beds, Sofa Bed, Queen Air Mattress

The Two-Bedroom Balcony Apartment is located just around the corner from the subway station, which is only a 1 minute walk away. From there, it takes only 10 minutes to reach Manhattan by subway.

The apartment is large in size, as it is about 850 square feet. There are modern furniture and fixtures throughout. There is also a private balcony.

The spacious living room has a modern sectional sofa (not pictured, as we recently added the sectional -- new photos to come). There is also a smaller sofa (pictured) which turns into a daybed for one. There is also a classic Pierre Paulin lounge chair, modern walnut coffee table, and a set of ottomans. The large flat-screen television with satellite tv sits on a beautiful solid walnut media cabinet. There is also a George Nelson wall lamp and modern floor lamp in the living room.

The kitchen is equipped with all pots, pans, and utensils needed to cook a meal. The kitchen opens up to a dining room, which has a modern solid walnut dining table and chairs.

There is a full mid-century modern NYC style bathroom in this apartment.

The main bedroom is located at the rear of the townhouse, where the garden is located, ensuring a peaceful night. This bedroom has a queen size Tempur-Pedic bed, which sits atop a modern solid walnut Japanese style bed. There are also walnut side tables and two modern lamps.

The second bedroom is also located at the rear of the townhouse and has a queen Tempur-Pedic bed, which sits on a modern solid walnut bed and is accompanied by walnut side tables and modern lamps. There is a door in this bedroom that opens up to the private balcony, which is wonderful for catching sun and fresh air. It overlooks the garden. There are two chairs and a table on the balcony.

For the fifth and sixth guests, the sectional sofa converts into a queen size bed -- it splits into two pieces, and when facing the two pieces towards each other, they form a queen size bed. Alternatively, there is a queen size air mattress with memory foam top.

We have a pack 'n play (playard) for baby, available upon request.

Excellent Location

  • 5 of 5

Apartment location was perfectly located, a minute from the subway, around the corner from a 24 hour laundry-mat and a 24 hour Rite-Aid, also endless shopping and dining a block away. Nice, quiet neighborhood...recommend it to anyone looking to explore NYC but not with the NYC price tag!!

great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

my family and i truly enjoyed our stay at this apartment! everything about it made our visit to nyc pleasant. we went to nyc to find our daughter an apartment as she will be starting a job there in july. we only had three days to do this, so our two night stay was very short. when i was looking into a vrbo, this apartment popped up and the only two nights it was open were the two we would be there. i figured that was fate! so i read the reviews and decided to book it! it was nice to stay in a home and get away from the hustle and bustle of the BUSY city! jessica was very helpful and available when we needed her! with the subway so close it made out travels in nyc very convenient! the apartment was very clean and beds were very comfortable! thank you jessica, for sharing your home with us!

Excellent location, price and accommodations for our needs

  • 4 of 5

Two of us family members had to return to the area multiple times, from out of state, due to a death in the family. The excellent location, price and accommodations were perfect for our needs and we stayed there twice. The apartment was basic (two bedrooms, kitchen, dining table, living room, bathroom), clean and the beds comfortable. We did not use the kitchen but it had the necessary equipment and supplies. It is on the second floor, with no elevator, so luggage has to be hauled up the stairs. Not a problem for us but may be for older persons or those with limited mobility. The wifi was difficult to access but there is a nice binder with great information. The owners are accommodating, communicative and trustworthy in returning the damage deposit. Parking is a challenge so if you can have no car, or a smaller car, it would be better. All in all a very positive apartment rental experience. Thank you Jason and Jessica!

Very good option to visit New York City and Manhattan at two subway stations

  • 4 of 5

The apartment has everything a family of two adults and three children (teen-angers) may need. It is comfortable literally (beds and specially the living room lovechair are so nice).

The Stainway St subway station is very very close (one minute walk) and two subway lines going to Central Manhattan work there. During weekends the trains and lines going to Manhattan are limited, so have a look at the schedule.

Being a busy area, the apartment is in a very quiet street, so I would say is a perfect combination.

Everything is as explained in the web. I would definitively recommend this apartment for a few days visit to NY.

The kitchen and bathroom are a little bit old, but they work. I would recommend to set more shelves in the bedroom closets, not being a big investment. This would be practical for travellers.

The area has many restaurants and shops, not for tourists but locals. There is mixture of local cultures, being now latinamaricans the most common, I would say. There is a large variety of quality and types of shops and restaurants, so take into account references when going dining, because you can find good and bad places.

We arrived late at the apartment the first day, but the owner arranged a method to let us get into it without anybody there.

Awesome & Best place in Queens & affordable😀

  • 5 of 5

The place is a townhome and its squeaky clean and has a lot of natural lighting. It has a full large living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms ( one room has a balcony) and one bathroom (the bathroom is outdated but very clean and sanitized) and located on the second floor. Jessica & Jason you are the best And your response and customer service deserves 10 stars😊! We are so grateful that this place was available for us and very affordable! Subway trians are only one block away and 10 mins to Times Square and 20 mins to SoHo/TriBeCa and 25 mins to China etc. You do not need to rent a car just sign up for Uner or Lyft in the late evening and get a free ride back to the townhome in Queens. Keep up the good job. I will always recommend anyone to stay here and I will definitely stay here when I visit New York in September 2015.

Astoria is located in the New York City borough of Queens, just over the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, also known as the 59th Street Bridge, which stretches over the East River from East Midtown Manhattan. This special neighborhood has a wonderful history, which includes being the location where Steinway & Sons, the finest piano company in the world, chose to build shop in 1853. The closest train station, named Steinway Street, where the M and R lines stop, is just a one minute walk from the apartment and will get you to East Midtown Manhattan in only 10 minutes. Astoria is a very lively area, which is heavily populated with restaurants, cafes, pastry shops, and has a vibrant nightlife. The Museum of Moving Image and Kaufman Studios is a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Also nearby are the Noguchi Museum, Socrates Sculpture Park, and the MoMA affiliated PS1 Museum.
