About Erick B. Prinz

This is more about us. I (Erick), my brother (Darren) and sister (Tonya) decided to buy our own house on the same block that has been in the family for the last four (4) generations...........that is how much we love it up there in the Catskills.

I am in sales working for a manufacturer that specializes in making finished products out of recycled materials (most notably car tires). I am married to my wife Colleen and have a beautiful son named Fintan.

My brother, a research analyst for a Hedge Fund who lives in NYC.

My sister is a stay at home mother who is married with two children. They live in NYC.

Erick B. Prinz purchased this house in 2012

Why Erick B. Prinz chose Catskills

We have been coming to Saugerties since we were born; our parents have been coming upstate since our father was a child. We loved it so much, that we decided to buy a place of our own just down the road from the family house.

What makes this house unique

There is so much to tell about all the little details of both the home, and the area. I will sum it up in 'keywords': Waterfront, Biking, Hiking, Kayaking, Boating, Swimming, Fishing, Dock, Deck, Saugerties (Light House, Car Show, Etc.), Woodstock, Town of Hudson, HITS, Garlic Festival, Catskills, Dutchess Co. Fair, Events, Phoenicia Water Tubing, Hunter, Bellayre & Windham Mountain, Jet-Ski, Sailing, Rock Climbing, Ice-Climbing, Ice-Skating, Antiquing, Museums, Cinemas, Restaurants, Malls, Live Theater, Hunting, Sight Seeing, Boutiques, Fall Foliage, Snow Tubing, Golf.

There is always something different to do during any weekend, week, month or season............and that is way we love it so much.

Fun and peaceful surrounded by nature

  • 4 of 5

Great little house! Very comfortable with lots of accessories for enjoying the water. The preserve across the Creek (more like a calm river) and bright open design of the house makes you feel surrounded by light and nature. My young teens were active the whole time and having fun as well as taking longer quiet paddles down the quiet, calm waters. Rare combination of fun and peaceful with all the amenities of town five minutes drive away. Loved it!

Fabulous access to the creek with so much for the family to do

  • 5 of 5

We had a great weekend at this house with our 4 kids. The proximity to the creek was fabulous and the kids played all day on the rope swing, kayaks and tubes that Eric had made available. The next neighbor even let us access their property to give the boys a higher base to jump from. The fire pit was also used and was a nice feature for our family.

The house was as described in the listing. We had overlooked there was no cable TV at the property but for the weekend it was totally fine and the kids were more than happy to be playing outside. I'm a huge coffee person and perhaps listing the type of coffee machine you have (I had brought filtered and not the right pods for the machine there) would be good but the beauty of the house is that it's so close to saugerties it was easy to run out and get anything you needed.

Eric was a great host and really responsive. He even offered for us to check out late so we could take advantage of the amazing weather.

We would definitely rent the house again for the weekend.

Owner's Response: I didn't realize that I did not respond herein......my apologizes. I am glad you and your family had a wonderful stay. It seems that everyone gravitates toward the rope-swing.......glad to hear it, and that the kids enjoyed the grounds over the cable TV. We made adjustments to the listing with respect to the coffee maker as I myself am not a coffee drinker, so I didn't pay much attention to the need in the AM......sorry. Looking forward to having you and your family join us again soon. E

Great property very quiet, peaceful and well kept

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at the house, the view was spectacular and very peaceful. We enjoyed the firepit and watching the stars. The house was very clean and comfortable. We hiked at nearby trails and spent time in Woodstock. The kitchen came fully stocked which was great. The beds were comfortable and the location was quiet and tranquil. the restaurants in town were very good. I have already recommended this house to a coworker. Erick was very accommodating and answered my questions timely he provided great customer service.
