You wake up with the sun rising over the ocean from your antique French bed. You take your coffee and relax on the walk-out deck and watch the float planes land and the kayaks gliding past. The gourmet kitchen is outfitted with everything you need to make delicious meals using the organic ingredients and fresh seafood available just outside your door. After a glorious day of hiking, kayaking or surfing you decide to eat out, choosing from multiple possibilities including the acclaimed Wickaninnish Inn. (You'd stay there but you prefer over 1000 sq ft of private living space and your own deck). We are located in downtown Tofino on Main Street. You are within walking distance of everything in town.

You enjoy nature fully but you don't always want to stay rustic. You appreciate design and are well travelled. If this sounds like you we have a match for your accommodation in Tofino.

Miele appliances including washer, dryer, DW, stove, oven, micro, Sub-zero wine fridge and fireplace. Our luxury condo is beautifully and professionally furnished.

About The Owner

I am from Calgary, but I lived in Vancouver for 5 years. We spent every summer vacation during that time on Vancouver Island. Many years ago, I learned to surf in Tofino. I have very fond memories of the area.

We chose Tofino because it is remote and walkable. This property also gives us the urban comfort we expect and at the same time a real sense of nature.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2009

Why The Owner chose Vancouver Island

This property was designed by the same architect that we used to renovate our 100 year old home in Calgary. We knew the project would be spectacular.

We love that Tofino is remote. I love walking the oceanside and the smell of the sea breeze.

It is perfect for a girls weekend, romantic getaway or some well deserved R&R.

What makes this condo unique

It is pure heaven. The air is fresh. The town is quaint and welcoming. We feel like we are in our own little oasis.

Beautiful Stay

Well appointed apartment centrally located in Tofino, with gorgeous views. Ideal for a family of four with two ensuite bathrooms. Only minor criticism is that it got a little warm at times so could do with a fan to cool it down, but we'll no doubt be wanting to come back next year!

Loved staying here!

My family (two adults, two kids, age 6 and 8) just enjoyed a perfectly wonderful vacation in this condo. We really enjoyed being able to walk out onto the patio, then into the manicured garden area. My kids loved wandering and playing around this area, and on the dock close by. It felt like we had a giant outdoor 2nd living room. The float plane site-seeing tour located on the adjacent dock inspired us to take a flight to see the area. It was a highlight!! Very quiet unit, but with just enough action on the dock and waterfront to feel like you are part of things. Very, very easy to walk to town to get groceries or play at the park, or to wander around the shops and go to the restaurants. Super easy to walk up to Tonquin Beach (beautiful nearby non-surfing beach) as well, which my husband and kids did at least twice. Parking underground was easy and close to our unit for trips further afield that required the car. We've also stayed beachside quite a bit in the past in Tofino, and both my husband and I decided that the harbour view from this unit was just as spectacular. Watching the action in the harbour (kayaks, seagulls, boats, etc.) was perfect. Very comfortable master bedroom mattress and bedding (important for good night sleeps!). Second bedroom does not have a window to outside (only a window to the hallway), but my kids slept like logs as it was nice and dark and quiet for them, and they loved their very own ensuite bathroom. We actually chose this unit over the ones above for just this reason (and because we could walk out onto the garden area). The unit faces mostly North, but there was plenty of sun on the patio when we went (mid-July). Overall, we loved the unit, and we will be back. Thanks very much to Margot for being a very helpful and accommodating owner.

Nice location, pretty view, a few issues

It was a beautiful condo with a great view. Equipped with all of the amenities that you would need. Fireplace did not work. I would strongly recommend taking an inventory of stains and any other issues so as not to have to deal with the fallout after. A cleaning fee is charged with the booking. The owner does not live in the area so they have a property manager dealing with the property. This caused many issues after the fact with accusations about the way the place was left such as; using all of the towels (there were only 6 with 4 of us there for 2 nights), leaving a couple of dishes in the sink after the dishwasher was already turned on and left clean, as well as leaving our recycling on the counter (didn't know where the bin was), to name a few! Unfortunately this fallout has really tainted the overall experience we had and wouldn't return as a result.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. We will take into consideration some of your comments. The fireplace does work. It is controlled by the thermostat. Sadly, the town of Tofino does not have recycling, so bottles must be treated like trash. All these things are explained in the instructions we provide to each guest. Our property manager and cleaning staff are very professional and have been with us for three years. It is unfortunate that you felt this way after your stay. Thank you for sharing your story.

Fabulous Setting!

Love, love, loved it here!! The condo was spotless when we arrived and perfectly situated with a fantastic ocean view. Although we did have a car, we didn't really use it much as we were within walking distance of everything Tofino has to offer. Thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the ever changing scenery with float planes landing/taking off, kayakers navigating the busy harbour and whale watchers coming and going. Watching eagles soaring overhead, almost daily, was definitely one of the highlights. Ate out a few times but preferred cooking fresh seafood/crab in the gourmet kitchen, relaxing with a bottle of bubbly while watching the gorgeous sunsets from the deck. Tofino is an amazing little piece of paradise on Vancouver Island and we loved staying here. Would highly recommend it and will definitely be back. Thanks Margot for making us feel so welcome and sharing your beautiful home!!
