Very secluded get away in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sitting on 70 acres with two ponds and a hiking trail. With shopping and restaurants only 20 minutes away. The driveway is over a half mile long getting you well away from an already secluded road.
This 1500 sq. ft. home has 3 bedrooms each having a queen size bed. 2 bedrooms & 1 bath upstairs, 1 bedroom & bath on the first floor. Large deck across the front of the home to enjoy the view & wild life.
This was the perfect cabin for our vacation. Very private. We saw deer daily from the front porch. The cabin was comfortable and clean. The photos are very good for letting you know what to expect. We made numerous day trips throughout the area along with North Carolina and West Virginia without any problem, however a week was not enough time to enjoy all the area has to offer. Bob was very helpful in assisting us when we one of our travelers experienced car problems and a tow was required. He contacted folks for assistance (since you cannot make long distance calls) and had them calling the cabin to help us out. Our ages ranged from 62-83. We actually enjoyed the break from cell phones and internet. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. Also suggest you visit the Valley Cafe for breakfast at least once for a huge breakfast at more than reasonable prices.
We loved our stay at this cabin. The pictures do not do just for the home. The kitchen may seem small but it was well appointed and worked perfectly. The wrap around covered porch was excellent as it rained most of the time we were there. Great rooms, beds and trails nearby.
This comfortable home has a lovely rustic-themed interior, wood and stone floors, a modern (albeit small) kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and a beautiful view down the valley. It sits at the end of a long lane, at the top of a green valley with apple trees around it and the hills snugged up tight to it.
It was clean and comfortable. Nice beds. NO WIFI, negligible cell phone coverage for Verizon,
I was looking for some place to get away from all the noise...see the rolling mountain landscape, sitting in front of the fire with a hot tea to welcome each day. It needed to be quiet. I needed to see the stars. I also needed to know that I could get to the city comforts I've become accustomed to if needed (wifi, food, starbucks). This home had it all! It was a great experience all around and I can't think of a better way to have started the year!
