Quiet Rural area among vineyards, cherry and apple orchards.
Ed and Brenda purchased this property in 1991. We were apple orchardists until 2010 when we decided to take a different track and replant to grapes/vineyard. We thoroughly enjoy living in Oyama. It is a rural lifestyle, with great neighbors all around.

Why Owner chose Oyama
Oyama has so much to offer. We have heard many times from our visitors how much they enjoy the beauty of the Oyama area. It seemed natural to create a vacation rental to continue to share this great place with others. In 2006 we began the process of constructing our guesthouse. It has been a pleasure and a challenge to think of all the amenities that we would like to offer our guests. We want each guest to enjoy their stay to the maximum.
What makes this Guest House unique
The choices are plenty at Grapewood Guesthouse. Beaches, hiking trails, Cycling the Okanagan Rail Trail (we have 5 adult bikes for guests to rent for a nominal fee) , shopping, fishing local and mountain lakes, tennis courts, boat rentals etc. are all nearby. Or, relaxing with a cool beverage on the shaded private patio on a hot day might just be your style.

Fantastic Accommodation with Super Hosts!
We loved our stay at The Grapewood Guesthouse.. a beautiful property to enjoy as a home base with everything you would need!!
Excellent proximity to the new Okanagan Rail Trail.. a beautiful place to bike or walk along the lakeshore of both Wood Lake and Kalamalka Lake..
Thank you to Brenda and Edward for the wonderful hospitality and the amazing strawberry/rhubarb pie!!
Perfect place for a family getaway in Lake Country
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brenda & Edward's place. They are a warm & friendly couple and were able to provide us with whatever we needed during our stay. Muffins on arrival were a nice touch! Interesting history, beautiful view of the lake, easy access into the unit for anyone who has difficulty with stairs (as I do), plus nice and close to all the action we were seeking (our son's wedding was at Gatzke Orchard, just 5 minutes away).
Should we decide to head up to Lake Country again, we will no doubt be checking early with them to see if there's space available for us to stay. Worth checking early to avoid disappointment.
Thanks again Brenda & Edward. Hope to see you again some time soon.

Beautiful setting with incredible views.
Edward and Brenda were thoughtful and interesting hosts. Their accommodations are well furnished and very comfortable for 5 guests. I would highly recommend. Even in the weeks leading up to arrival, Brenda checked in with me several times to help with plans for a perfect trip and an event to celebrate a family birthday.
Perfect family trip!
Beautiful and very clean place with nice owners, near of many places to visit. Thank you to share your little paradise!
Location was perfect
We booked this guesthouse to be close for a wedding we attended. Im greatful it was in Oyama as we may have missed this area as part of a vacation. Thé guesthouse was perfect. It was spotless and well furnished. Brenda and Edward have such a beautiful and relaxing property. Hope to go back some day
Fantastic time and great house
We had a great time and Brenda and Ed were totally wonderful even leaving us a treat for our arrival. I would recommend this accommodations to anyone. They make you feel like family.
We are in the 'Jewel of the Okanagan', as Oyama is named. Access to many activities are nearby. SilverStar Mtn. is 50 min.away where you can downhill mountain bike, ski, snowboard and cross country ski. Big White is 80 min away. Every Friday afternoon May-August Lake Country features a farmers market. Numerous wineries in the area. There are many marked hiking trails in Lake Country. A favorite area for cyclists to train.
