Sleek, Modern, with all the Amenities and a Simply Incredible View
Located directly on the sand in beautiful Treasure Island and just over the John's Pass bridge, this recently renovated resort offers a perfect place to spend your Florida vacation. With only 40 privately owned condominiums, the South Beach Resort is a small, very modern and upscale building giving you the comfort and privacy that is so hard to find, and makes for such a wonderful stay.
This comfortably furnished two bedroom corner unit boasts a King size bed in the master, two twin size beds in the second bedroom, and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. The condo is complete with private balcony, full size washer/dryer, an updated and fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of space for the family to spread out. Two bathrooms complete the layout, with one directly off the Master bedroom, and one centrally located in the condo. There are flat-screen TV's in each bedroom, as well as a large flat-screen with DVD player in the living room. Free high-speed WiFi internet service is available for your use, as well as a full selection of cable TV channels for your entertainment.
At the resort, you'll enjoy the year-round heated pool, beautifully landscaped grounds complete with a couple of beach hammocks for those extra-lazy moments, shuffleboard courts, BBQ grills, a table-tennis area, and of course, the warm inviting soft-sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
Come and enjoy the finest Treasure Island has to offer.
Our family of 4 (older kids aged 19/14) have just returned from South beach. The Condo is pleasant, spacious and in a great location on the beach. It does however need upgrading, especially the bathrooms, which aren't shown in pictures.
Generally all was good but we have a major concern with the cleaning of the property prior to our arrival which was really poor and more like a mid-week tidy-up than a deep clean. For an expensive location I would have expected really high standards which weren't there. When this was brought to the attention of the iTrip agent he was very polite, seemed surprised and said he would find out what had happened - have never heard any more of it. Things like:
Old chewing gum stuck to kitchen bin on the outside of the bin - so it wasn't cleaned, Dirty doors and handles (ACTUAL SMEARS NOT JUST FINGER MARKS), Dirty kitchen cupboard doors (dried egg/splatter marks), Dirty crockery and used plastic type dishes still smelling of old food, dirty place mats & oven gloves. The list goes on but needless to say I wasn't impressed at spending the first couple of hours if my stay here cleaning what should have been done.
Would also have helped to have a clothes airer available for towels/small items not to be tumble dried.
The immediate area was really quiet as the end of the season - too quiet for us but probably great for couples. easy to drive to slightly more lively locations.
Really nice condo. Plenty of dishes, beach toys and chairs. Nice view and not too far of a walk to the beach. Would recommend to a freind or family member.
While the northeast was a lot quieter in 2016 than last year as far as snow, South Beach condos thru Itrip still the place to be. We had a wonderful time, in the heated pool, walks on the beach right outside the door and fantastic sunsets from our balcony.
A minor problem with cutlery was handled within hours, great service!! Thanks...
Discovered a couple of new restaurants that were great, Shrimpy's and the Pearl....
And the Rum Punch's at the Salty Rim were outstanding!!!
A great vacation!!!
This is a nice place to be on the beach in treasure Island. But the king size bed in this unit is very uncomfortable. It needs to be replaced. There were a few dirty dishes in the cupboard. The floor between the kitchen in the living room is badly warped. Which makes the tiles make a lot of noise when you step on. The folks downstairs must go nuts listening to that.
Vacationed in South Beach Condos, 501 the week of September 13, 2015.
Fantastic views from this corner unit balcony. The unit is very clean and updated, with convenient & ample parking.
We accidentally locked ourselves out of the room & someone from iTrip came to help us within 10 minutes.
You are not renting from the folks that man the front desk, so after you get your key, you won't have further contact with them.
My only complaint is that the beds are uncomfortable & need replace, as well as the sheets & mattress pad for the king bed ... they kept popping off the corners every night.
Other than that? A fabulous place to stay & see sunsets, with all the comforts of home.
The condo itself was nice and clean. We had plenty of room. There were TV's in each room which was really nice. The washer and dryer were a great amenity. The beds were ok not the most comfortable but I've definitely slept on worse. It was nice being in a corner room but the noise level above us was TERRIBLE. Every time someone walked, jumped or moved a piece of furniture it sounded as if they were in our room. Also, it was pretty noisy outside. We heard traffic, sirens and airplanes all day and night long.
It was a little longer walk to the beach than I'm used to but it wasn't awful. The view off the balcony is absolutely gorgeous. There were plenty of chairs on the balcony but a small table would have been nice to have.
My biggest complaint was the wifi. I never could get my iPad or iPhone to connect, very disappointing seeing as how we like to watch movies on vacation.
There was several restaurants and ice cream shops within walking distance which was very nice.
The condo offered beach toys, chairs and floats which was a great amenity.
I never could get the coffee maker to work which was upsetting for a regular coffee drinker like myself.
The pool was small but it was never crowded. It didn't look like it was very clean but I did see maintenance people around it everyday working.
The elevators were pretty crowded but they seemed to move pretty quickly.
Overall, the noise and the wifi would have to be my biggest complaints but the condo was clean and the views were amazing.
