Patti and Bill Carico will be your hosts, we have many years experience in the hospitality business, have 3 children, and 7 grandchildren who also help us take care of Concord Manor. Patti was born in Texas, Bill was born in Wise County, Virginia in Coeburn, grew up in Roanoke, and Patti and Bill split time living in Texas and in Virginia. This photo of Bill and Patti is taken in the yard at Concord Manor.
Bill Carico, agent for this property. purchased this estate in 2010
This place is fabulous, and so is the community and neighbors. Concord VA is a small town that is close to the action, and we wanted a place that our own family can enjoy as well as our valued guests.
The spacious setting, landscaping, and beauty of the estate make it a wonderful place to live and entertain guests.
Bill and Patti -
I'm just dropping a note to tell you how much we enjoyed our visit over the weekend. The house was everything we could have asked for. Everything was just lovely and getting to stay with family made it that much more special. Also, the rehearsal dinner was great and I appreciate all of your hard work. Thank you so much for everything, and Bill my allergies are ever so much better since I took your advice and went off dairy. Thanks :)
God bless you both and I hope to see you in the future again.
We have a group of 9 couples that gather annually for a college football weekend reunion. The main house was a perfect balance of charming, Virginia hospitality and modern convenience. We never ran out of hot water, the beds were very comfortable. The house had several sitting areas that allowed us to either sit and visit as a whole or break in to smaller cozy groups. A HUGE fire pit in the back yard gave the guys a chance to catch up and swap "tall tales". The kitchen was very well-equipped and roomy enough for all the "cooks" to congregate, discuss and finally prepare meals. Bill, the property owner, was so gracious and greeted us upon arrival. He made us feel right at home as he gave us a brief tour of the huge home and a few tips on how to best enjoy its features.
The only downside of this rental experience is that we only had 4 days to enjoy it. We could certainly have enjoyed an extended stay!
We would highly recommend Concord Manor House to anyone looking for an exceptional vacation rental. We visited in mid-November but would love an excuse to come back in the summer to more fully utilize and enjoy the extensive grounds and outdoor accomodations!
Concord Manor was even more welcoming and comfortable than we could have asked for. Bill and Patti are wonderful hosts who even helped unload the tons of food we brought for our reunion. The large kitchen and dining area were great for meal prep and enjoying. The large back porch with comfortable seating was the perfect spot for morning coffee and we enjoyed the large front porch in the afternoons. The 6 bedrooms were large and the beds so comfortable.
We had a party of 13 and the Concord Manor accommodated us very well. everyone commented on how the house was perfect for our gathering.
We stayed at Concord Manor with our adult children and seven grandchildren. There was plenty of room for everybody.
The kids and adults loved the pool.
The house has lots of older pieces of furniture which gave it a very warm and cozy feeling.
Stores are only 10 miles away and there is lots to do in the area.
We had a problem with the wifi router during our first day but the owner quickly replaced it with a new one.
There was everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare our family meals.
We were there for some very hot weather in the beginning of August but the AC kept the house very comfortable.
Some spots around the house could use some fresh paint or other maintenance but these are not a big deal.
Concord Manor is all it looks to be and more! Bill and Patti are thoughtful hosts and provide everything you could possibly need. This was the best stocked kitchen for tools for cooking and entertaining we have seen. We came to Lynchburg for our daughter's wedding and housed family and all of the bridesmaids. Concord Manor provided an awesome place for the gathering, relaxing and getting everyone together. We could never have had as much fun in hotels - nor been able to afford it! Renting this house was so much more affordable and allowed us so much more time with family and friends. Everyone who visited us commented on what a beautiful home Concord Manor is. The room sizes and accessibility throughout the house enabled us to never feel crowded or on top of each other. We sat on the fabulous front porch and watched the 4th of July parade go by - unfortunately it was raining so it was a short parade. I highly recommend Concord Manor for any large gathering.
What an amazing find this place was! Perfect distance from town and so much space for everyone!! The beds were very comfortable and they provided everything you could think of! The grounds were just gorgeous - there is much love put into taking care of this place - both inside and out! It was too cool to use the pool as we had expected but the owners had taken off the cover to add to the ambiance of morning coffee on the deck and late night chats! My dad left his shoes there and the owner took the time to send them back which was much appreciated! Thanks for an incredible stay!!
