Absolutely gorgeous oceanfront upper unit right on the sand!! A one-of-a-kind vacation treat! Very spacious and bright with a private bathroom in each bedroom. Plus, a wonderfully large master bedroom with an inviting jacuzzi tub and separate shower! Enjoy two car garage parking, a large deck off of family room, a large roof top deck with a hot tub, inside stack washer/dryer, dishwasher and shared outdoor shower room! A great location for a great vacation!
Parking: 2 car parking - This unit provides 2 car garage parking. (Larger vehicles like a Suburban fits into the garage but will be too long so the garage door will not be able to close)
Bedding: Blankets, mattress pads, bed spreads and pillows are provided!
Linens: Our properties do not come with bed linens or towels however should you not want to bring your own personal linens, we do provide the option to use our linen rental service. The cost is $165 for the length of your stay and includes a set of sheets for each bed, 10 bath towels, 8 hand towels, 8 wash cloths, and 4 beach towels. Please inform us as to whether or not you would like to use this service.
Kitchen/Supplies: Our kitchens are supplied with all the basic dishes, utensils and cookware needed for everyday cooking. We also stock some cleaning supplies and dry goods such as paper towels, toilet paper, coffee filters, trash bags, foil, etc to help you begin your vacation however you will need to purchase and pay for additional supplies during your stay.
You may want to bring: Beach chairs/equipment, blender and/or specialty cookware, laundry detergent, extra place settings, pens and paper, etc.
The view was great. But for the price, I would have expected sheets on the beds also beds not comfortable lumpy. The hood over the range didn''t work. And we had no beach access because the down stair was rented to someone else we were under the impression it was a house and we got the hold place.
If not for the thermostat, 5-Stars.
This otherwise fine beach house, has one major disadvantage. The Nest thermostat. For those of you unfamiliar, the Nest thermostat tries to “learn” your temperature preferences by monitoring your comings and goings. (Yes, it spies on you).
This idea might be all right, if your lifestyle has you coming and going on a very regular basis. But for vacationers, it's the worst possible thermostat you can have. We found the thermostat changing settings by large amounts at the worst possible times. Sometimes waking up at 3am in very cold conditions.
Moreover, the Nest thermostat can be controlled remotely. I don't know if it was a programming problem, or whether someone had hacked into the thermostat making random adjustments. Before renting this unit I strongly recommend that you verify that the Nest thermostat, (or ANY other remote control thermostat) is no longer there.
This unit has an excellent location. The unit was clean and well cared for. The management company was courteous and friendly.
One of the neighbors has excessive outdoor lighting, and light comes through a window that has no shades. This was a minor problem. (It's only common courtesy to keep your light on your property, using hooded or shielded fixtures.)
We would rent this unit again once the evil programmable / remote control thermostat is gone.
What a beautiful home!! We couldn't say enough good things about it, we absolutely enjoyed our stay here. The garage was just big enough for the Suburban, we just had to park diagonally. The garage door openers where missing when we arrived, but the property manager promptly sent over some new ones. The washing machine stopped working halfway through a load of clothes, but we were fine without it. The manager sent over a repair guy right away, but we were gone and missed him. Still, that wasn't a deal breaker for us. Overall the house was gorgeous and we will definitely be staying there again. The hot tub on the roof was perfect, we used it everyday. We loved being right on the beach...in fact, the kids didn't even want to go to Disney Land or Universal Studios, we had to pry them out of there. Maybe next time we'll just stay at the house and just enjoy the beach. We used the beach chairs and umbrella in the garage. It might have been nice if we could've used the bicycles, but they were locked up. In all, it was a nice break from the Alaska Winter...even though we've had a pretty good winter this year! The property manager was very responsive and accommodating.
Had a great time with kids (ages 7 and 9) and grandparents. 3 bedrooms, each with own bathroom gave everyone space. View from hot tub on the roof is awesome. Kids loved playing on the beach and in the ocean. Used the toys and beach chairs that were in the garage. Great location for visiting Disneyland and Legoland. Place is in great condition.
Loved our stay at this rental (although it never got over 55 degrees and was windy so we couldn't really enjoy the rooftop). Centrally located which makes it nice going sightseeing. Villa Rentals was a nice company to work with also. Highly recommend!
