Parking: 2 car parking - This unit provides 2 car tandem shared garage parking. (narrow garage so 4 small vehicles in garage or 2 large vehicles will fit at one time between both units. Another vehicle may fit behind the garage as well. Tenant agrees to accommodate the needs of the other unit, if occupied or needed)
Bedding: Blankets, mattress pads, bed spreads and pillows are provided!
Linens: Our properties do not come with bed linens or towels however should you not want to bring your own personal linens, we do provide the option to use our linen rental service. The cost is $165 for the length of your stay and includes a set of sheets for each bed, 10 bath towels, 8 hand towels, 8 wash cloths, and 4 beach towels. Please inform us as to whether or not you would like to use this service.
Kitchen/Supplies: Our kitchens are supplied with all the basic dishes, utensils and cookware needed for everyday cooking. We also stock some cleaning supplies and dry goods such as paper towels, toilet paper, coffee filters, trash bags, foil, etc to help you begin your vacation however you will need to purchase and pay for additional supplies during your stay.
You may want to bring: Beach chairs/equipment, blender and/or specialty cookware, laundry detergent, extra place settings, pens and paper, etc.
Very nice overall. We got the linens and they were waiting for us cleaned and individually wrapped in Saran Wrap, which was refreshing. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the essential tools, but it could have been cleaner. We feel the urge to pre-clean in all VRBOs, but especially when we found crumbs throughout the drawers and on top of the appliances, stains on the ceiling, and a bounty of mold in underside of the blender.
The bedrooms were very roomy, although the mattresses need to be upgraded. Our team complained that the bunk beds were very lumpy. The master king bed was also fairly indented and should be replaced. The owners should try rolling from one side to the other to see for themselves. I slept well despite this.
The garage was available, but is extremely narrow. Four cars can supposedly fit in there, but not if they are any bigger than a mid-size vehicle, and even then it takes some careful maneuvering to get in and out.
The code that we were given for the unit didn't work in the door, although it did work for the side door to the garage. We called about this but it was never fixed. Luckily we had the one key for the door so we could get in and out.
Wifi is available, but the signal was spotty and weak.
It would be nice if there were a few more of the essentials provided, such as shower soap and shampoo (or at least listed that we should bring these with us), as well as some kitchen essentials like aluminum foil, Saran Wrap, and zip lock bags or some kind of Tupperware storage. And laundry soap. We bought these ourselves and left them for the next renter.
Beyond these drawbacks, the unit was basically just as described in the listing. We weren't expecting the Ritz Carlton, but a bit more attention to details and some regular updates to some of the most-used parts of the unit could make it much better. All in all, we would happily rent this again.
This location is perfect...watching the surfers every morning was so fun!! I could literally see my family playing on the beach while I was in the kitchen/living room. The neighborhood felt pretty safe. It only took 25 min to get to Disneyland.
Negatives...first, the garage is very small and your sharing it with the renters below. Second, the renters below complained to us they could here every step we took and our kids (15, 9 & 7) running around. Next, the condition was just ok and could use a little TLC. Overall for the price we would stay here again.
The cleanest beach house we have ever been in. Property management group was easy and very pleasant to deal with.
The property manager was very helpful and we were able to quickly get all our check-in info and keys even at 4 pm on a Saturday! The house was wonderful and we had the beach to ourselves. March is a great time to visit Newport Beach. Weather was great too. I recommend this rental and as it is right on the beach, clean, modern and comfortable. We'd stay there again!
