Welcome to The Austinite Unit A!

Being just 3 miles from downtown and the convention center, 20 minutes from the Circuit of the Americas, and 1.5 miles to Barton Springs, Zilker park and just two blocks from an entrance to The Barton Creek Greenbelt, this is the ideal spot for an Austin getaway or a business trip.

You're also only a block off of S. Lamar Blvd and several of Austin's favorite places to eat and drink! Kerbey Lane Cafe, East Side King, Gourdough's Public House, The Juice Box, Baker's Street Pub, Torchy's Tacos...just to name a few.

The house has bamboo floors and shower/tub combo in the bathroom, king in the larger bedroom, queen in the second bedroom, great patio with fabulous lighting, sunset views and also a propane grill.

There's high speed wireless internet and Google Fiber TV (better than basic cable) and also we do have an AppleTV connected to our NetFlix account for your enjoyment! You can also log into your own iTunes account and access any of your own content. Or use AirPlay to stream to the TV from your Apple devices.

We have a record player with a diverse record collection that you're more than welcome to take for a spin! Plus, a fabulous cocktail recipe book and vintage shaker set. Try some new libations and let us know if you stumble onto a new favorite! The patio is a fabulous spot to enjoy a drink.

The Austinite also has a back unit, which has a private hot tub. That is HA# 326996. Also can be rented all as one property if you have a larger group coming. But the hot tub is for the use of that unit - not this one.

This property is licensed with the City of Austin and we do collect and pay the Hotel Occupancy Tax. We recommend only renting properties who are registered with the city. Avoid the scams out there!

I'm a life-long Austinite and that is definitely part of the reason I choose to call this property The Austinite! I grew up about a mile or so from this property and am thrilled to call Barton Hills my home.

Three miles from downtown and the Convention Center, this gorgeous house is within walking/biking distance to everything that makes Austin special... Go shopping on South Lamar ('SoLa') or South Congress ('SoCo'), eat dinner on Barton Springs road (restaurant row), take a dip in Barton Springs pool, go hiking in the gorgeous Greenbelt (which has an entrance around the corner from this property), or hit the town on 6th street for some of the best nightlife and live music in the world!

Also, within just a couple blocks over to The Broken Spoke - which has some great texas music and honkey tonk dancin!

Perfect size, great location, lovely patio and trees and very cool ambiance!

We had the opportunity to stay at the Austinite for ACL weekend one. It was the perfect home base for an amazing trip that included some of the best weather at any ACL I've been to... The South Lamar location is close to some great restaurants and bars - walking distance to Kerbey Lane! The décor of the place was really chill, and we may have had a little too much fun with the fridge magnets. P.s., the hot tub was the icing on the cake!

So clean and comfortable!

My three girlfriends and I stayed at this property for Memorial Day weekend. It worked really great for us! The house is a good size, and although there is only one bathroom, there is a decent amount of counter space with the sink which helped for everyone's toiletry bags and hair brushes. The kitchen is very well supplied and the couch sectional was very comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and the location is great for getting to S Lamar, S Congress, downtown, and Zilker Park/Botanical Gardens. The beds were comfortable, though the larger one had a very soft mattress top that worked well for the pregnant member of our group, but was a little too soft for me. We did use the patio a little, it's so pretty, I wish we could have spent more time out there! There are some stone steps leading down from the street to the front door that might not work well for anyone with physical or mobility concerns. Jay was very communicative and helpful in answering my questions before and during the trip. Overall this is a lovely place to spend time while in Austin! I have nothing bad to say about it!
