Average house overall, great views, wildlife

  • 3 of 5

We had a number of grades for this house-

Views-A-right up at peaks, close to hiking trails

Wildlife-A We saw bears (they raided garbage cans regularly) foxes and two very large adult moose hung out in back yard, really impressive.

Deck-very dated, one section of railing near the hot tub was quite loose, many nail pops on the old deck (owner fixed them immediately with a phone call along with a minor leak in basement, good response) In the winter, deck is probably no issue with lots of snow.

House Interior-A comfortable inside, small but workable kitchen, plenty of games, decent furniture, bunk beds were cool.

Overall, a good experience with amazing location, good for families with children.

Suggestions-upgrade the deck,

Nice couple getaway!

  • 4 of 5

Overall, the cabin met our expectations perfectly for our couples weekend getaway! We had 4 couples so there were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen has all you would need to cook at home. We had breakfast and lunches in at the cabin. Since we were there just 3 nights we ordered in and went out to eat for our evening meals.

The hot tub was great after skiing/snowmobiling! It was quite cold while we were there so we needed to wear stocking hats to stay warm and prevent our hair from freezing :)

We hung out mostly on the main floor with the fireplace. The pictures reveal it to be a bit larger than it actually is. But, with the couches and large dining table, we were all able to be in the same area playing cards.

The drive up to the cabin was fairly easy in all wheel drive vehicles and the views were beautiful!

Thank you!!

raw sewage smell and lack of communication

  • 2 of 5

First impressions of thr property were ok. There was some trash laying around the back door and the trash cans. I just hate seeing trash on the ground knowing it can blow around and into the wilderness. Place on the inside was certainly nice an had plenty of room for all the guest. Really enjoyed the views and the wood burning fireplace. The snacks and bottle of wine was a nice touch. What really bugged me about the stay was on the second night an overwhelming smell of raw sewage in the upstairs room to the right. It kept me up and my wife and I ended up going to sleep on the couch. The smell was faint in other areas of the home as well. I wouldnt even be leaving this review if the management/owners would have made a better attempt on making it right. They did call me back but I missed the call, and I did call them back again and leave another VM. No response. I would look for another place unless you want to risk the smell.

Owner's Response: Jon, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about the issues that arose during your trip. We take feedback from our guests very seriously, and we are looking into how best to address this problem. The homeowner has informed us that there was some pipe damage on the roof over the winter and unfortunately was not discovered until later in the summer. As soon as they were made aware of the problem, they made arrangements for it to be fixed. Additionally, in the summer they had some issues with wild animals in regards to the trash. They do the best they can with keeping it clean, but sometimes it is out of their control. The homeowner does also attempt to be as responsive as possible to ensure their travelers have a great stay. Thank you again for providing us with this feedback, and we are glad you overall enjoyed your stay. Cheers, The Evolve Team

Great family vacation

  • 5 of 5

The house was great and very comfortable for our family. We loved coffee in the morning on the deck and the hot tub under the stars in the evening. Other than the carpet being rather stained, we thought the place was very, very nice.
