This is a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bath first floor home in a 2 story duplex tucked away in the beautiful mountains of Franklin, NC. The house is ten miles from downtown Franklin. There is a full kitchen, 2 very large bathrooms, 2 huge bedrooms with king size beds, a pull out couch, satellite TV, flat screen tv's, a day bed, BBQ grill and picnic table, beautiful views in every direction, and much much more!!!
The place was very nice . Perfect for seeing the fall colors . Deer came right to the porch
Chloe was nice . We would rent it again.
If I was giving the rating on the unit itself, it would be 5 stars. It was very clean and comfortable. I saw one small roach but you have to expect things like that. For future guests, bring your own wash cloth because there wasn't one. I had to purchase one and there were no paper towels either.
This is a very clean and well maintained property. We found it to be very safe and peaceful. We loved the fresh morning mountain air! We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others who are wanting a safe mountain getaway!
A very clean place and well maintained. The owner was very helpful. Yes we would recommend This place to our family and friend.
This rental was perfect for what we were looking. The bedrooms are large, the kitchen had all the amenities, and 2 bathrooms was a huge plus!
Just a couple of notes that didn't detract from our stay, but might be helpful info.
The "home" is actually the lower level of the owners home. It has lots of natural sunlight though.
The drive into Franklin takes about 25 minutes, but the roads are really good. (I have to say in much better condition than those in most of rural Ohio!)
If you are bringing your pet, there isn't a ton of room outside to exercise them. We made sure our labradoodle got lots of exercise while we were out and about so that she would pretty much collapse with us when we got back to the rental unit. Also, if you are bringing your dog, the area in general is extremely dog friendly. Every gem mine I contacted was like "Absolutely! Bring your dog!", and downtown Franklin has several restaurants that allow dogs at their outdoor seating. One even has a separate "dog menu"! Enjoy your stay! Chloe is fantastic!
2 couples on our annual vacation thoroughly enjoyed this well equipped, comfortable cabin. After taking day trips, we loved relaxing on the porch and watching the deer in the evening when they came out to eat. The property was well maintained and the owner was very friendly. Day trips included the beautiful waterfalls on Hwy 64, casinos in Cherokee, 2 different gem mines (Rose Creek was our favorite), the Biltmore House in Asheville, and a day enjoying Franklin - shopping & eating. Also, don't miss the long & winding road up to Wayah Bald - absolutely worth the drive to see the awesome view from the top of the mountain !
Would definitely go back and highly recommend to anyone looking for privacy & seclusion. Take note, the drive into town is beautiful but takes a little while to get there. Be sure you get groceries, etc on your way up the mountain.
