3 Bedrooms 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8) 2-Story Townhome
We travel a lot and so we look for a home with an easy lifestyle and with all of the conveniences close by!! We love sailboats, fishing, airplanes, biking, taking long walks and just enjoying the outdoors.
Owner purchased this Townhome in 2007
Why Owner chose Columbia Way
We fell in love with this townhome and the whole lifestyle that comes with living close to the river & downtown Vancouver, Wa/Portland, Oregon. We have always loved the Northwest and love living so close to the Columbia river and yet still have all of the conveniences of the city.
What makes this Townhome unique
This townhome is located in Northwynd which is a beautiful community that is well maintained with beautifully landscaped grounds. You can park your car in the garage and leave it there until you are ready to go because you will not need it. You can walk to many great restaurants, bars, shops, the movie theater, etc. Sit by the outside fireplace located in the swimming area. We love it!!

Exceeded Our Expectations
Very nice three bedroom townhouse, beautiful furnishings, very nice sheets and towels, close to good restaurants, and very close to a grocery store that has in one building clothes, alcohol, groceries, jewelry, furniture and more! Traffic in Portland on 5 and 205 is BAD.
We brought our nephew down to see his brother and family and we had such an amazing time. The condo is very nice, better than I anticipated. Very clean and accommodating and the pool was a hit with the kids! Great restaurants to eat at and walking along the water was absolutely beautiful! We look forward to coming back again!
Beautiful, clean, artfully furnished townhome. Top of the line everything! Sheets and towels top quality. Lots of extras - binoculars, reading glasses, info on what to do, lots of pillows, sample size shampoos, conditioners, etc. Spices, teas, coffee. I loved the art! Very close to nice restaurants and the river. Bikes provided, but not for us short people 5'3" and under.
We'll stay again!
Great location for our family vacation. Easy in & easy out. Suited us perfectly!!!! Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.
Beautiful condo close to river and shopping
Beautiful condo with well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Close to everything. Short walk to river trail and coffee shop. It was perfect for our group of 6 adults.
Great location, terrible communication
Pros: Great location. Very clean, nice furnishings (except mattresses).
Cons: Everything is very upscale with the exception of the mattresses in the two master bedrooms. The upstairs mattress I bottomed out on (and I only weight 148 pounds). The downstairs one is slightly better but still shot.
It was a chore to leave the condo because of the door/key/lock situation. In order to leave, you have to first go out the front door (for which you are not provided a key). Then walk to the exterior keypad for the garage. Enter the code and open the garage door. Go back in through the front door and relock the front door with the latch from the inside. Now walk through the condo and go out through the garage. Finally, when you are standing outside the garage door you can hit the keypad button to close the garage door.
There is no button inside the garage to open or close the garage door and there is only (well, there was supposed to be) one garage door remote control. I received an email and was told to look in the bottom drawer in the kitchen for the garage door remote control. It was not there and I searched the entire condo trying to find it. I sent a text, an email and left a voice mail for the owners. I finally heard back later from the owners several hours later that the previous tenant had taken the remote control, and that they knew that. They could have told me that and I wouldn't have looked all over trying to find one. They also stated there was no spare remote control that they would be willing to bring to me.
Also, I had asked for information on the condo such as key code or door key and was finally told a few days before arrival that I would receive the information the day before arrival. The information didn't arrive until after 11 PM the day before arrival so I went to bed not knowing if I'd even get the information before I drove eight hours to arrive in Vancouver
. I have been a vacation rental owner for over five years and a vacation rental user for over forty years. I feel that the owners have a generally great place but don't understand how to communicate with tenants.
Unfortunately this guest began by asking me to make extra considerations and we had to work hard to fit him in. We went out of our way to accommodate him however we do not send out our key codes to access the house any earlier than the day before, which he did not like. I also do not understand why he could not understand how to push the large button on the wall in the garage to make the garage door go up and down. Everyone else uses it without any trouble. There is nothing special or different from any other house with a garage door opener control mounted on the wall. There is no need to ever go out the front door of the house unless you just choose to. Sorry that he could not figure it out.
We have many repeat guests who really like the furnishings including the mattresses in our home as well as the high quality 100% cotton sheets. We have learned you just cannot please everyone no matter what you do.
Nice fitness center, take a swim in the outdoor swimming pool (open Memorial day to Labor day), soak in the hot tub (open year round) or sit by the outside fireplace next to the pool. Take a 1.5 mile walk or bike ride to downtown Vancouver along the Columbia river on the concrete boardwalk, The weekend farmers market located in downtown Vancouver is a great place for food and music. You can walk 1 block to a couple of great restaurants and micro breweries or ride one of the four bicycles provided for your use.
