574 Amagosa is a recently remodeled home with absolutely beautiful, breath-taking close views of Lake Tahoe! The Lake Tahoe view can be seen from the entire living, kitchen and master bedroom as well as from the large outdoor deck that has both a gas and charcoal/Weber barbeque with comfortable outdoor furniture to enjoy the view. Inside the 3 bedroom home - it has new hardwood floors (in the living/kitchen), new carpet (in the bedrooms) and a beautiful natural stone gas fireplace. The kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The home has a fairly large bonus / storage room that can easily store bicycles, skis, etc. inside. The home is located on a well-maintained street and has easy parking during all seasons. We hope that you will enjoy the home as much as we have!
We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this property. The cabin is well laid out for one or two families to comfortably spread out.
View of the lake is fantastic. Cabin was very clean & well organized. However there should have been more towels.
We really enjoyed staying in this home and will look to rent it again in the future. It is spacious and comfortable, and the view is absolutely incredible.
A great place for our sibling get-together in September. This house was well appointed in all rooms including the kitchen - which was very well stocked with utensils, pans, etc. The main deck was great for early mornings and breakfast. The sun warmed you quickly but bring sunglasses and a hat! The main missing ingredient were the lack of pull down shades on the east (lake) facing windows. Almost impossible not to be blinded at the kitchen table. It would be easy to go back to this house.
Sibling vacation of three so we each got our own bedroom. Beds comfy. BEST equipped kitchen of any place I have ever rented. You name it, they got it. The decks were great in the morning, spent a lot of time on them at the beginning and end of the day. Grocery and services were minutes away. I will take again on next trip.
Downsides: better showerheads to take a shower safely and get wet. Need some window covering on eating area window as morning sun is right there! Needed sunglasses to eat. Road noise even at night is there, hard to keep windows open. No WIFI, even though says there is.
Positives: This property is on a small quiet cul-de sac right off the main highway, just about 5 minutes from Incline Village rpoper. The house is well maintained; the main part of the house faces due east towards the lake and has a stunning view from the living room and the upstairs master bedroom. The outside deck table with umbrella was great for creating shade from the strong morning sun to comfortably eat breakfast outside. There are two decks, one off the living room with deck furniture and that great view - great for relaxing and eating meals outdoors, and one off the master bedroom - same great view. The house is in good shape and was updated recently. The kitchen has modern appliances and granite countertops, bathrooms also in good shape.
Downsides: Road noise from the main road below spoils the great lake view during the day, but becomes less intrusive in the evening as traffic eases. As we were out of the house during most of the daytimes, this was not a big issue for us. Poor lighting in living room was a bigger issue for us in the evenings, as we prefer reading to watching TV and really needed better lighting. The upstairs master bedroom gets overwhelmed by the heat from the morning sun we had to keep the heavy drapes closed until late in the day, which meant we didn't wake up to the beautiful lake view. Winter renters won't have this problem!
