I loved the condo it was perfectly on the beach.
I think it could use some upgrading, I think the entry door should be keyless lock like the other condos in the building. Turning into the driveway was very difficult! I think someone should've explained where to park. I didn't know we were to park in our condo number.. And we parked and a very rude man told us to move ( wasn't nice at ALL) we truly didn't know. Didn't like the microwave, it was not user friendly...
There is a small window by the front door, it did not have a blind or curtain on. People could see right in!! It needs to be covered. Was told that the pool was heated and found out later it was not!
We had 5 adults stay in the condo and there was more then enough room.
Decorated very tastefully, plenty of towels in the bath rooms, stocked with all the essential items, plus a washer & dryer!
The property is centrally located on the main strip of Destin, close to the Harbor Walk, shopping & other attractions.
Definitely would recommend this property to friends.
This was our first trip to Destin with our 3 children - ages 6,4, and 1. We live in Texas and wanted a change of pace from Port Aransas. We absolutely loved this condo and will definitely be back! We loved having a designated parking space on the second floor of the parking garage which made unloading all of our stuff a breeze (since we didn't have to use the elevator). The interior is updated, nicely decorated, and has a spacious shower in the master bath. The king size bed was extremely comfy! We put all of our children in the guest bedroom and had plenty of room for our son's pack n play in there along with the 2 twin beds. The Destin Towers complex was wonderful - it's on the smaller side, but we met several families who have been coming there for years. The pool at the Jade Towers East complex (right next door) is nicer, but it's also a much larger complex. We also loved the Barefoot Beach Umbrella and Chair rental available. Everything in the condo worked - no issues! Two thumbs up!
Best things about this property: Updated interior with plenty of room and plenty of window since it is a corner unit. We had 2 kids with us, one of which was only 2 yrs old and the Master bedroom had plently of room to fit his pack-n-play on one side and still had room get around it. Everything you needed was available in the kitchen, minus the items you are informed to bring. The balcony is large with plenty of chairs for everyone to hang out. Loved the parking on the 2nd floor of the garage with easy access to this unit. This was a huge bonus with 2 kids. We also really loved the gates and securty to access both the pool and the beach. The pool was a good size and started at 3 feet which was great for kids. The beach has chairs/umbrella available for rental, which is totally worth it if you have kids. There was also minimal pop up tents in our area which was nice because other condos had a ton on their beach.
Biggest upset: No umbrellas at the pool, so no shade during the day.
Overall this was a great unit and complex to stay in. We had a wonderful time and would definitely consider staying here again.
THe best part of the whole house was the massive covered patio with the beach view. The beach area in back of the house was private even when the crowds were all over the beach, our area was private. The house was stocked with pots and pans but not much else. No toiletries, paper products, cleaning items, detergent, trash bags, NOTHING. So we spent a small fortune at the local Wal-Mart. The house deor. and applicances were dated. The internet did not work the whole week we were there. THe agency did come everytime we called and tried to accomdate us. The traffic was a huge issue, so we tried to spend most of our time at the house and limit our trips out. The outlet mall was fun and we enjoyed the COACH outlet the most. But it was about a 45 min. drive. The weather was windy and we had red flags all week so we had to be very careful in the water. Had to get help from a lifeguard once due to rip currents. We recommend the oweners build a walkway to the beach. Walking over the sand dume was hard on my mother and father. Even such a short distance is difficult in the sand. We enjoyed Dewey Destin, FLoyds, Donut Hole, JOhnny Rockets. The house was ready early which was a pleasant surprise. We recommend driving into Florida very early in the morning and leaving Florida early due to traffic. The Gulfarium was a blast. The animal encounters were well worth the extra money. We fell into a tourist trap on the snorkeling. We paid 30.00 each to be taken to the public beach just the west of the house. We felt really silly when we realized how close we were to the house. The sunset dolphin cruise was worth the money. THe jet skis were very scary and felt like we were left alone in the ocean. If you take a fishing tour only go in the morning. We went in the afternoon and caught very little (no keepers).
