Really great communications with the owners. all sorts of ideas about things to try. Be aware, not much to the town of Chestertown, plan for your meals, supplies, activities in Bolton or elsewhere. Lake, kayaks, canoes, life vests, all sorts of stuff provided. Nice living room to sit in, and all bedrooms clean and comfortable. Bathroom right next to the kitchen so can get awkward. Nice sandy private beach. Easy parking, easy road to walk to beach or to just stroll in the community. We visited in early august so previous occupants have left behind plenty of paper products, cleaning products, coffee, ice, etc. etc. so we lacked for nothing. Also a stock of games, books, magazines for reading, a "house book" with paper brochures, directions, instructions, flash lights, all kitchen tools, etc. Lock and lockbox on door very simple to use and operate. Caution- the hill down to the lake is a 3 minute walk- but steep. Bicycles not much use in the immediate area, but plenty of places to drive and ride and hike. Great fireplace inside and firepit outside. You have to bring your garbage to the town dump which is a 10 minute drive, but other than that, not much effort required to relax and have a great time. You feel like you are in the woods, and although close to the road, it's a private road that gets just the local Homeowners driving to beach in the day, and nobody drives there after dark. We could not hear any other neighbors making noise despite the fairly close proximity. Easy sleeping on beds, bunk beds, or couches. Plenty of fans provided if you are hot, and spare blankets if you get cold. Plenty of pillows and extra pillows too. Feels like the cabins I visited growing up, right down to the mountain photos, paintings, and decorations. Wi-fi had strong signal. Owners responded within hours to emails or calls on any issue. I have been staying in Adirondacks for years, and the price paid for value received on this cabin was outstanding for a prime week in season. Thanks for helping me make memories with my kids..
A beautiful place to get away and reconnect!
After many trips to oceanfront beach homes and Disney, I wanted my family (five daughters ages 18, 16, 14, 11 and 9) to experience something different. Having visited the Lake George region and Vermont every year as a child, I wanted my own girls to experience the beauty and adventure the area has to offer. I am so grateful I happened upon this property. It was perfect. If you are looking for a clean and charming rustic cabin to escape to this is your place! When we arrived to the cabin which was a quick 20 min drive from Lake George Village, we were fortunate enough to have met one of the owners who was kind enough to give us a tour and some tips regarding the area. The cabin sleeps 7 comfortably. The bathroom and kitchen were immaculate. The lake experience was everything I expected. It is a stone throw from the cabin and it is clean and quaint. Everyone was friendly and my children loved swimming from the floating dock. I recommend taking one of the kayaks out during sunrise to experience the magic and beauty of the lake and ADK region. I could go on and on about this rental... it will not disappoint! I hope to return one day to this beautiful happy place!
FIVE STARS for this property!
Our family of 7 just completed a stay at 18 Woodcliff Acres and absolutely had a blast and loved the property! We would stay there again in a heartbeat if we were ever back in the neighborhood. Communication with the property owner was awesome. I had a TON of questions and always received a response quickly and fully. He always had good suggestions and was willing to also talk on the phone as well as via email and the VRBO website. The caretaker was also around and willing to help out as well. The property was clean and well maintained with plenty of space of 7 to sleep. The short walk to Friends Lake was great (or you could drive) and had access to the kayaks and canoe. There were also plenty of life jackets and beach chairs to use, as well as the picnic tables and Adirondack chairs that were at the beach for anyone to use. If you didn't have anything, everyone at the beach were willing to share. Easy 30 minutes or less drive to Lake George for big lake activities. Both lakes were clean and fun to swim in. Hammock, fire pit, grill, fireplace, stocked kitchen, games, books, and more were also available. I cannot rave about this place enough and highly recommend it. If you are going to the Lake George area, spend your down time here instead of fighting all the people around Lake George Village and the other touristy places!!!
What a delightfully specific and warm response to your stay at our family camp. I’m so thrilled that your vacation was a positive and memorable experience. We’d love to host you again! You left the camp in perfect condition - thank you.

Sweet home in the woods
We loved how close the house was to the beach on the lake — literally a 3 minute walk! The beach itself was lovely too, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The backyard was great and we enjoyed grilling and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. My allergies acted up a bit in the house itself, but otherwise we had a really lovely stay. Also, there is a truly excellent selection of games to play, which was an awesome and unexpected treat with two kids! A really nice getaway nestled in the woods.
Thanks for your kind words. So glad that you enjoyed your stay.
Clean and neat cabin
The cabin was clean and neat place had everything you need for cooking the beach is just down the road the water was nice easy access with the kayaks planing next year vacation already
The quiet community of Chestertown is home to shops, restaurants, horseback riding, art galleries, supermarket, bank, and more. Lake George and its bustling village is just 20 minutes away. Conveniently located off Interstate 87 within the Lake George Region of the Adirondacks where restaurants, attractions, and mountain activities are in abundance. Remain at the Camp and you have a relaxing Adirondack escape to remember for years to come.
