Cozy mountain cabin, amazing views on 13 acre farm with hot tub, pet friendly
About Judy Howell
John and Judy Howell were working for the government in the DC area, and got married in Maggie Valley. They fell in love with the area and began to look for property. They feel completely blessed to have found this beautiful slice of heaven, which they named Howells at the Moon Farm.
Judy Howell purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Judy Howell chose Waynesville
This property is so unique. It was an old farm and in the same family for a hundred years until early 2000. It's on 13 acres, surrounded by fields and forests, with spectacular mountain views. You will feel like you are isolated in nature, but you are in fact minutes away from towns, shopping and activities. It is, truly, the best of both worlds. This property has hiking trails, long range mountain views, mountain streams, and privacy.
What makes this Cabin unique
From the front porch of the cabin, you can sit with a glass of wine or hot cup of cocoa, and gaze at the mist in the meadows or the spectacular views of the mountains. Listen to the sounds of nature and watch the fireflies dance in the evening. You will forget how hectic life can be when everything here is so tranquil. The cabin is cozy and comfortable; it's charm and homyness is to be enjoyed by couples, honeymooners, or folks looking to get away. The bed is comfy, outfitted in soft bed linens. After a day spent hiking or shopping, you will look forward to snuggling up in your nest. The living room has games and cards, but also has Roku TV, free Netflix and wireless internet for times when you want to 'plug back in'. You will love staying here; it's like your home away from home. There are streams on the property, and we keep chickens and raise our own produce. The property will delight you and renew your spirit.

Perfect Waynesville Cabin
This cabin was so cute and clean and we enjoyed it very much. Took us a minute to figure out how to work the electric fireplace but once we got it going the house warmed right up. The location was perfect, it felt like we were way out in the country but we were super close to Waynesville, the Publix was also close and Maggie Valley too. And as an added treat, there were a dozen farm fresh eggs in the fridge. We scrambled them for breakfast and they were so yummy. We were very pleased with our stay.
We wanted a mountain getaway and this was a perfect fit! The hot tub is a huge plus! The bed was very comfy, the owners very responsive of any and all correspondence was quick. We enjoyed ourselves very very much! It was very comfortable, quiet and peaceful! We highly recommend it!
Perfect weekend getaway
We loved the dream cabin! It was perfect to spend some time in the mountains to celebrate my boyfriends birthday! Despite there being torrential rain the whole weekend we still enjoyed ourselves, the hot tub right out the bedroom door was especially nice and the king size bed was great! Our pup also had a great time and loved snuggling in the giant bed.
Cozy and comfortable cabin
The cabin was clean and cozy. The stay was very enjoyable. The cabin had everything we could've needed to have a care-free weekend.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Dream Cabin. We loved the location, amazing mountain views from every room, the private hot tub , the privacy in general and the cozy furnishings. We would love to visit again when in Waynesville.
Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, historic Waynesville, Maggie Valley and Cherokee. Great fishing and hiking, and skiing in the winter.
