This is a corner unit Villa with fantastic views of Sapphire Bay. The Villa can easily sleep 6. It has a King size bed and 2 pull out sofas. The first floor consists of the kitchen area, dining area with a table for four and entertainment are with a pull out sofa and flat scree TV. There is also a full bath. Finally, it has its own deck with patio furniture. The second floor has the king size bed and a pull out sofa. There is also a flat screen TV. The bath is full size with a bathtub. The second floor also enjoys its own deck with patio furniture.

The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots, pans and appliances so that you can cook in if you wish.

All linens are provided, including beach towels. We provide free beach chairs and there is some snorkel gear in the condo. If you need additional gear you can rent it from the dive shop located on the property.

Sapphire Villa

This Sapphire Corner Villa was very well taken care, roomy and clean.. One of the best views you can get of Sapphire Beach and a great view of St.Johns. The beach area is kept clean and we had a great time snorkeling along the coastline with lots of different sea life to be seen. Hope to return again next year!

best location on the beach

Enjoyed ocean and sand views from the kitchen while sitting at table. Really nice.

The kitchen could use some more pans. All in all a great visit and will return to Sapphire.

This condo met all of our needs. Plenty of space, fabulous beach access and fully equipped kitchen.

We had a great experience. I was traveling with my husband and teenage daughter and her friend. We had plenty of space with privacy for all. The condo is steps from the beach and the snorkeling is great. Also loved that we were connected to the Marina and able to take a charter sail from there. I would highly recommend for families.

The resort is somewhat dated and the pool needs work, but we had a great experience nonetheless, and could easily overlook these things.

What you see in the pictures is what you get!

Location, location, location! This townhouse was exactly as advertised. Sapphire Beach is either the best or 2nd best beach on the island for families (also enjoyed koki beach). My family of 4 greatly enjoyed our 2 week visit. My in laws came for a few days and their was plenty of room for everybody. My one email to Gregg was returned within minutes. Having a kitchen was great. We were able to enjoy sapphire beach and go up to the room for lunch. Security was constantly walking around so we found the resort to be very safe. Scott on the beach was a very friendly guy who made sure our chairs were out every morning.

A few things I would recommend: visit St John for at least a day. Wonderful place and the ferry only took 20 minutes or so from Red Hook

Rent a car: Gregg had suggested I rent one and I didn't. I wish I would've listened to him as taxi cabs cost a small fortune on this island.

Moe's shopping mart for meat: priced like home and always fresh meats. I would however bring as much dry stuff to eat as you can pack. Besides meat groceries are very expensive.

I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Gregg and Aimee for a wonderful stay. We might just be back next year!

Best possible location in St. Thomas. Unit itself needs renovation

Ok first the good actually very good: I think this unit is in the best possible location on the island down to the very building its in. IMO Sapphire beach is the best beach on the island I visited. While Magens is more well known, it gets crowded and I think the water on Sapphire is more turquoise. In addition because there is coral right off the shore, you have tropical fish right there near shore you can snorkel and see. You don't need a boat, just put your mask on, walk in the water, and you are good. Right there we saw dogfish sharks, beautiful fish, small stingrays, other people saw turtles etc. The A building this unit is in is the best one as its right on the center of the beach near the refreshment stand where you can get great drinks and some chips etc.

Red hook is a fantastic location itself as you are right there by the ferry to explore other islands, and it has some great restaurants and shops in addition. There are always cabs in the parking lot for convenience if you don't rent a car.

Great location, great beach, great building

Now the not so good: The unit itself needs renovation badly. Other than the new flat screen TV's on both floors, it all seems very old. The floors are stained, kitchen seems ancient, and I was concerned about the air conditioning vents as they were starting to look black. The filters need changing badly and I would check for air quality. Water pressure in toilets and showers is great though. Upstairs cedar cathedral ceiling is very nice. Outside deck furniture needs to be changed as it is discolored and I was concerned about mold

Overall I think the pros outweighed the cons with this unit and considering the price is fair for an on the beach condo, would definitely recommend.

Why Gregg or Aimee Dodd chose Estate Smith Bay

After spending our honeymoon at Sapphire Beach Resort in 2000, we knew this was one of the nicest beaches we had been to. We traveled to Aruba, Mexico, Bahamas, Punt Cana, and all of the other popular vacation spots but we kept coming back to Sapphire Beach. There is something to be said about feeling safe, and still being in the US helps. Everyone is friendly and there is always something to do.

What makes this condo unique

This condo truly is one of the best locations at Sapphire. You are far enough from the main beach and pool that you get to relax at all times. Conversely, walk a few hundred feet and you are at the pool. Walk a little further and you are at the marina. You are centrally located with easy access to everything.

We go shopping as soon as we arrive and usually eat breakfast and lunch in the condo. Aimee and I are beach people, so being at the beach is what it is all about for us. At night we head into Red Hook to one of the restaurants. Duffy's Love Shack is a must visit, but don't go too early. The party has to wind itself up!
