Coral Cottage located in the heart of The Grace Bay resort area it is within walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes and of course fabulous Grace Bay Beach.
Please read the reviews of my other property: HomeAway #386121 (Palm Cottage). As of Nov 2013 we have 14 perfect reviews. Coral Cottage is located next door to Palm and has recently be renovated and a private pool has been installed.
It has two bedrooms - one with a queen sized bed and the other with twin beds, complete with en-suite bathrooms, AC and ceiling fans. The living area also features vaulted ceilings, designer furnishings throughout and a state of the art entertainment system, complete with CD, DVD, and cable TV, and Coral villa also has complimentary high-speed WIFI internet access and a VOIP phone.
As well as a fully-equipped modern kitchen, barbeque facilities, and a spacious veranda overlooking the private pool and the lush tropical gardens - ideal for lounging, entertaining, and dining al fresco,
Coral Cottage includes a delightful private pool (installed Dec 2012).
I have been managing this property for 12 years, for the current owner and the owner before him. They are eager to maintain the property to a good standard which has resulted in lots of repeat guests
Linda purchased this house in 2002
I thought for sure that there was no way the rental could meet the expectations that had been set by looking at the pictures and reading the other reviews, but I was very wrong! This place is amazing! We spent most of our time (when we weren't in the pool) relaxing on the screened-in porch. Lounging on the couches and chairs was perfect first thing in the morning or after dinner. The house was just a few minutes walk from the beach and a 10-15 minute walk from restaurants and shopping. We got a taxi from, and back to, the airport but other than that we really did not have a need for a car. We did a few tours that took us around to other parts of the island and the only other time we may have needed a rental was when we wanted to go the Thursday Fish Fry. There are so many things to do within walking distance that we never even thought about not having a car. One of the great things about the house location is that you are a very short walk from the best restaurant on the island, Coco Bistro. We went to plenty of other great restaurants including, Caicos Cafe, Ricky's (now Flamingos), Melt, Via Veneto and a few others. This rental is 100% worth the price and we would stay here again in a heartbeat! I highly recommend this house to anyone contemplating a Turks & Caicos vacation!
My husband and I, along with my older parents, timed a short 5-minute stroll to the gorgeous Grace Bay beach from this beautiful cottage (easy, direct access to the beachfront - you can't miss it).
We made a lot of use of lovely pool, and the huge screened in siting area and dining table everyday. It's very private and quiet, but with the neighboring rentals nearby, you don't feel totally secluded.
Many dinner options all within walking distance. Would advise to bring a flashlight (we just used the one on our iPhones) just for the walk out the private lane. Internet connection was fast - no issues, which was a must for me (unfortunately!).
I made a few trips to the grocery store by foot - 15 mins walking, but regret not having a car rented for the week. There is a car rental place directly behind the house that we used, called Bayside Car Rentals - they were great/affordable! I would highly recommend getting a car from the airport and heading to the cottage on your own. If nervous, then anticipate at least doing this on your way back (you'll be comfortable by then, I promise!) Directions are clear and driving is very easy (albeit left side) - the taxis are ridiculously expensive! Most things are on the island – which made having this place, that is surprisingly affordable for the location/amenities, so beyond worth it!!
Housekeeping, grounds keeping and pool cleaning all came mid-week - super friendly staff and a really nice touch. More towels and sheets than you could ever need. My only suggestion would be to possibly upgrade the beds, which are still decent.
You could spend 10x the amount on a crowded condo complex, or have your own beautiful private home in the heart of Grace Bay - pretty simple to me!! Thank you Gary, and to Linda (the property manager) for such an excellent stay!! Already dreaming of returning.....
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Coral Cottage. The house is perfectly located, with everything you would need within walking distance. We rented a car and I would suggest most should do the same to explore the island. The house and pool is very private being surrounded by foliage and at the end of the development's access road. Try out Da Conch Shack for a nice lunch and rum punch, Mango Reef for a beautiful sunset and dinner. We also ate at Hemingways, Coco Bistro, Coyaba, Las Brisas, all very good!
This place is the perfect place to stay for your trip to the Turks&Caicos! We spent week with our two girls (10&11) and it was the perfect combination of swimming pool, beach, dining in and dining out. The location is wonderful, just a few minutes walk brings you to the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. The French bakery for fresh croissants and bread, the grocery store and many great restaurants are within walking distance as well. The house itself is great as well, we spent most of the time outside on the porch or on the terrace, but the house is nicely and tastefully decorated, so inviting to spend time inside as well. The kitchen has all tools/equipment you need, the bathrooms spacious enough and even the beds were comfortable! Last but not least, the owner as well as the local agent Linda have been great & prompt with communicating during the process of booking and during our stay. We can definitely recommend this cottage!
The grace bay area has the best the island has to offer, day and night, including the prestigious grace bay club, the premiere Provo golf & country club, and numerous restaurants, bars, and shops. Grace bay also offers world-class diving, snorkeling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing in its pristine turquoise waters. Grace bay beach has been chosen repeatably as one of the top 10 beaches of the world.
