Overview

Coastal Oregon House Rental Photos and Description

3 queen beds, 2 1/2 baths, spectacular river view, gas fireplace & home theatre

Our 2-story home is situated at the mouth of the Columbia River, with historic Astoria to the east and Ft Stevens State Park just to the west. This is our family's frequent escape, well suited to maximize comfort, relaxation, and rejuvenation while having easy access to the scenic beauties of the North Coast, truly Pacific Wonderland!

The cathedral ceiling living room has full views of the Columbia River estuary which spans four miles across to Washington's Long Beach Peninsula. The Columbia River's narrow shipping channel is situated immediately in front of the house offering an ongoing parade of maritime traffic; enjoyable from the front yard Adirondack chairs, or from the cozy comfort of our living room sofa.

A 2-story living room opens up to kitchen and dining areas with panoramic views of the Columbia River. A 65-inch LED SmartTV sits above a gas fireplace and flanks the large living room window. Entertainment options include Home Theater with HD satellite TV including premium channels, Wi-Fi internet , Sony Blu-ray DVD with Netflix, and AirPlay to wirelessly stream your music.

A well stocked kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and cooking implements, makes staying in and cooking a pleasure. A powder room is conveniently situated off the main living room area.

Upstairs are three tastefully decorated bedrooms each with a comfortable queen bed and TV. Master bedroom en suite has a walk in closet, comfortable lounge chair and commanding views. In addition to the three bedrooms, there is a double fold-out bed with memory foam in the living rooms sectional sofa.

The home is stocked with some of our favorite books, cookbooks, and movies; feel free to enjoy while relaxing, or planning day trips up and down the coast.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The family and I really enjoyed staying at your place in Hammond. We found things to be well kept, in good condition, and in proper order. I really enjoyed the location as it is only three miles from Warrenton Marina and very near where we like to fish. Fishing was excellent, again this year. We hope to reserve for a longer stay for next year. Thanks for running a first class operation.

Great Reprieve from Work Overload

  • 5 of 5

This vacation rental home was just the perfect place for my husband, myself, and a few friends to really get away from our hectic work schedule. We actually brought work with us thinking we just can't get away, but once we got to Ron and Shannon's house, all our worries were forgotten. With such a relaxing atmosphere and such a welcoming feeling once we reached our destination, we just couldn't get started on the work we brought with us.

There was so much to see and do in Astoria and it's surround, so this is just the perfect place to be. This place is away from the traffic in downtown Astoria, yet easily accessible to everything. Watching the ships go by while we played cards and enjoyed a bottle of wine, combined with the warmth of the fire in the fire pit located in the front yard.........priceless.

Fabulous vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

The home is even better than I had hoped. We had a family reunion there and it was cozy, comfortable, our whole time there was blessed. Loved the view with even a moonlight walk along the river bank and three large bucks drew near. Great fire pit out in front with plenty of chairs. Plenty of cooking utensils and the kitchen table has leafs/extensions for it, so very happy with it. Would definitely stay there again!

Loved our stay at the Hamilton Hillton

  • 5 of 5

We needed a place for two families with 3 children for a stay during a weekend wedding in Astoria. This place was perfect. The views are incredible. Everything inside is clean and nice. Definitely not one of those rentals where everything is cheap or rundown. The rental accurately met the description and pictures. Ron was in touch before our stay and there is a book inside with instructions for everything. I did not have the need to contact Ron during they stay but felt I could easily get in touch if needed. This fit our needs perfectly and everyone in our group said they would love to return. The rental is maybe 15 minutes from Astoria so it is not near a downtown area. That was perfect for us because we were not looking for that. Big Fred Meyers maybe 3 miles away which is great. We did our cooking in the rental and it was easy because it is the most well-stocked rental I've seen. Highly recommended.

Great Spot For A Quiet Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The house is located at the end of a street, nicely separated from neighbors. The wide open view of the Columbia is great and the days we were there the cloudscapes were magnificent. The home is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bedding is first class and the furnishings quite comfortable.

This is a place where you go for the place, not so much the location. If you are looking for fine dining or cultural activities, Astoria is not the place. If you want quiet time in a great setting, this is the place.

Fabulous!!

  • 5 of 5

The space is beautiful and perfect for our Astoria Fisher Poets weekend! Plenty of room for three couples. Kitchen is well stocked, Bathrooms have lots of fluffy towels and even bathrobes in every room!! Living room is great for socializing or big screen movie night. Plenty of movies? YES... even Goonies!

We felt right at home and we were even offered a noon check in and out, which was great because we showed up about 1pm and had time to get organized for the Friday Fisher Poet events.

Very Beautiful views of the river, but no beach access which is only a short drive away from the parks and ocean. Very short drive to down town Astoria. All in all, this is a great house!
