About The Owner

My wife and I have been married 30 years. We went on our honeymoon to Gatlinburg! We have two grown children and an 'empty nest child'...a Goldendoodle dog named Max.

My wife teaches Kindergarten and I am a Regional Pastor. We lead mission teams to Guatemala as well.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2002

Why The Owner chose Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg has long been a favorite vacationing place for us! I have been coming to Gatlinburg since I was a child, we honeymooned here, and came here often when we were raising our kids.

Several years ago, we had the opportunity to purchase this beautiful log cabin and our hope is that it will be a blessing to couples and families as they seek to renew their relationships, and enjoy some time away from the busyness of everyday life!

What makes this cabin unique

'Heavenly Host' is a great place to enjoy some 'getaway time' as a couple. Whether you are relaxing in the jacuzzi tub, preparing a candle light dinner in the full kitchen, snuggling up in front of the fire place, or enjoying the very private hot tub on the covered deck, there are many amenities to enjoy!

The covered back deck also has a gas grill so you can grill some sizzling steaks rain or shine. The rocking chairs on the deck provide a private view of the wooded hillside. It's a great place to talk, listen to nature, or read and pray.

After relaxing, there are plenty of activities nearby. The cabin is located near the Arts and Crafts community and is only 3 miles from the heart of Gatlinburg with all its shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My wife and I spent this weekend at the cabin. We have upgraded some of the decor, bought a brand new microwave and we have hired a new cleaning service!

The last couple of months we been disappointed that we have had a few issues with the cleaning service we had been using.

I am excited to say that we have a new service starting (Dec. 14, 2014) and they are beginning with a two day deep cleaning of the cabin.

Although the issues have been minor, I believe this will take care it and bring our cleanliness back up to the high standard we expect.

We look forward to you staying with us!

Perfect for the 2 of us to celebrate our anniversary!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this quaint, romantic cabin for 5 days to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect size for the two of us and met all of our needs. The location is perfect and Mike was extremely prompt and kind answering all of my questions prior to our stay! Thank you both for sharing your cabin with us!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to friends and family

  • 5 of 5

It was a very nice cozy cabin that was close enough to everything we wanted to see and do. I am sure we will book again in the future and we will recommend it to friends and family for sure. Thanks again for sharing your little piece of heaven, it is certainly beautiful country in that area and we are looking forward to a return visit.

Nice

  • 5 of 5

We enjoy the hot tub & jacuzzi tub. A very nice and cute cabin. I loved the bear decorations. Bed was creaky, but that is expected with that type of bed. It wasn't the best mattress I have slept on, but it wasn't the worst one either.

I think the owners need a better cleaning lady. The shower curtain liner is molded & could use a good wash with bleach. The tea light candles next to the jacuzzi were burned down to nothing. The cabin could use a little spruced up out front, it smelled like mold and when we first walked in. But the fan was only on and after the air conditioner was put on and circulated no more problem. All the other times we got back it never smelled when we went in.

The owner Mike, seemed like a very nice guy. My code didn't want to work and I called him, not expecting to really get someone the first call, but he answered. He fixed it over the phone with me and made sure it now worked.

Would I rent from Mike and Carol again? Yes! Would I rent this cabin again? Yes!

Thank you Mike and Carol for sharing your lovely cabin.

Convenient location, great hot tub

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed at many cabins in the Gatlinburg area, and this one has a great balance of being private while not being too far from the main areas. We liked that the owners had the hot tub clean and turned on when we arrived about 30 minutes after check in time. It was on and ready to go; that was lovely after a full day of hiking. Thanks!
