About the property

AMAZING & AFFORDABLE 3-4 Bed/3 Bath home sleeps from 2-12 people. Amazing Pool!

Welcome to Aruba Escape, a real Caribbean villa closest to the #3 beach in the world, Eagle Beach. There’s nothing like it in the area!

Aruba Escape is cozy enough for a couple and grand enough for families and groups large and small. It accommodates from 2 people and up to 12 people with the optional guest suite.

With its silky-white sand, turquoise-blue water and amazing sunsets, you'll experience Aruba at its finest. Aruba Escape is not only close to Eagle Beach, the #3 beach in the world and Aruba's most beautiful beach, but it's also close to Palm Beach, restaurants, nightlife, shopping, golf, casinos and much more. And it's just 5 minutes from 5 more fantastic beaches, including Boca Catalina, Hadicurarri Beach (the famous kite-sailing and windsurfing beach), Malmok Beach, Manchebo Beach and Arashi Beach.

Nearby you will find dozens of activities, including golf, every imaginable water sport, fishing, diving, and the California Lighthouse... all with breathtaking views of the windward coast of Aruba.

Your vacation escape is a beautiful Aruban villa, complete with arched windows and doors and lots of cool Caribbean architecture. This single-story home offers over 2300 square feet of living space that was designed in classic Aruban style, with nothing but comfort and convenience in mind. It features 3 bedrooms (with an optional 4th bedroom guest suite), 3 large baths with 6' walk-in showers, a large, fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and a round dining area overlooking the pool, gardens and covered patio. The large pool patio and garden area are perfect for relaxing, barbecuing, sunning and drinking your favorite blender drinks. Yes, the blender is waiting for you, along with a barbecue, chaise lounges, beach chairs, coolers and everything you need for a good time at home or at the beach.

Unlike the crowded hotels, our home gives you both the seclusion and privacy of a Caribbean home coupled with the convenience of a great location. With both inside and outside dining and eating space, lounging and living space, cooking and bar space, we give you an Aruban experience like no other home in the area. The villa is air-conditioned and includes cable TV and high-speed internet.

The area is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Aruba and is very safe and very conveniently located. There are local sports bars, a famous martini bar, a great beach-side mojito bar... and our favorite - Bugaloe Pier Bar, where you can sit over the water and watch the sunset then listen to live music and dance into the night, all while floating over the Caribbean Sea... It's a stay you will never forget - we guarantee it!

It's the perfect location to experience Aruba's terrific weather and famous breezes, both day and night. Since Aruba is outside the reach of hurricanes, you can enjoy blue skies and comfortable breezes with 88 degree temps all year long. There's no bad time of year to visit Aruba!

So whether you spend the day on the beach, cruising on a catamaran or traveling the island, you'll come home to a beautiful villa with a private pool... all your very own.

We stayed at two of Mike’s properties over our 2 week stay in Aruba. First was Aruba Escape… and what an ESCAPE it was! Just paradise! It was an amazing house on a truly amazing island. The house had large bedrooms and tons of space inside and outside. The second was Palm Beach Oasis. It was a charming, comfortable and super conveniently located home in Palm Beach.

The kitchens were well stocked and had everything we needed. Both locations were very private neighborhoods. Safe, clean and conveniently located. They were far enough away from the crowds to enjoy a really private and relaxing villa while being close enough to everything there is to do nearby. We enjoyed drinks in the pool, dinner on the patio and lunches on Eagle Beach! (What an amazing beach!) In the afternoon we’d head back for happy hours in the pool, and to swim, relax, barbecue and plan our evening.

We did lots of the recommended activities on Mike’s "Top 10" lists. The information was amazing and saved us lots of time. We went to many of the beaches, the bat caves, Arikok Park, the bird sanctuary, the catamaran sunset sail (highly recommended). And we did a number of water sports adventures including parasailing through the company Mike recommended. They were great! The car rental car company he recommended was awesome and only $40/day! We adored Bugaloe Pier Bar and the live music. There was just so much do to and so many beautiful places…all on one island.

We’re definitely going back to both of these properties on this amazing island… it’s already been agreed!

Fantasic vacation home on a Fantastic Isand.

  • 5 of 5

Mike says it will be your "Next best vacation ever." It sure was! We all had a great time. This home was spacious, clean had a very private setting in a very private neighborhood. It was close to Eagle Beach, which we visited every day. We'd come home to the pool and cocktails and hours of fun! There were 2 markets very close and nightlife was less than 5 minutes away! Great food and restaurants... too many to list, but they were all recommended with exception by Mike. His Top 10 Lists are a must! These alone are every reason to rent one of Mike's 5 properties. He's very quick to respond, always available by text, phone or e-mail and very helpful in every imaginable way. Loved all the little considerations, like providing us beach chairs and a cooler, and airbed for a last-minute guest that wanted to come and the catamaran sunset sail... unbelievably beautiful and soooooo much fun! We're going back in September for sure! Mike offered us a great deal for return visit. It all started when we found his site at GreatArubaVacationHomes. com

Thanks Mike!

Beautiful Island Villa!

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED this house and enjoyed many afternoons at the pool and evenings relaxing with drinks on the veranda. Mike is fantastic to work with and, in addition to the wonderful accommodations; he provided many helpful resources and recommendations for our time on the island. We had several picnics on the beach & drank wine on the beach watching the sunset (cooler and chairs provided were awesome), explored the national park’s beaches and caves, hunted for sea glass, went on a sunset sail, went paddle boarding and kayaking, went snorkeling, dined at Papiamento, saw live music at Bugaloe’s and enjoyed pancakes at Dianna’s (twice - so good). Home was within walking distance to the grocery (less than 1/2 mile) and beaches (1 mile), as well as all the restaurants and bars (main strip is about 1.5-2 miles away, although there are tons of closer places to go!)! Couldn't have asked for a nicer week!

Holiday celebrations in a wonderful home!

  • 5 of 5

This home on a generous lot in the back of a small development provided a fun, comfortable place to enjoy Xmas and New Years for our family of 7 adults. The big front patio porch with long community table invites long talks, card games and casual meals. If it gets too hot, the beautiful pool with water feature is literally just a few feet away (it is immaculate too!). The interior is spacious, with comfortable bedrooms and storage. The guest house is a real boon if you have someone that needs a bit more privacy or perhaps has a baby who enjoys the night life. The kitchen is very functional and has room for several chefs/cooks for family meal prep and socializing. The individual a/c units offered temp comfort during an unusually wet/humid period for Aruba... phew! The rain did prompt two different episodes of a minor electrical circuit issue (on New Years and Xmas eves no less). Not to worry, the owner is well networked with local support and the issue was taken care of within hours ...hard to find that level of service back home, let alone on island time/holiday hours! We also got great lead up info re who to use, what to avoid etc from the owners, so we came prepared and avoided what otherwise could have been orientation annoyances. It is a good long hike to the beach, so we found having a car and getting to meals very useful. The Aruban hospitality elsewhere on the island was equal to our hosts' and it all makes a great getaway for your holidays. * one note: the Arubans like their fireworks for New Years ...for 3 days, very loud, everywhere and often... only mention this because if someone has a service member or first responder with PTSD challenges, avoid Aruba 12/31-1/2. I don't think there's a property on the island that is immune to this "enthusiasm". * Thanks so much Kim and Mike!

Great house

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the house for just about a week, while Hurricane Matthew distributed Aruba. We had no concerns staying in the house even tho knowing how bad it got outside. We have stayed in many homes in Aruba and the area of this house is very safe. It was only my husband and I and we ate out every day, but if your bringing your family you will have enough room to do as you need. Thank you for letting us stay here.

Owner's Response: Thanks for staying at our property and keeping an eye on things during the recent storm. Sorry you had so much rain. The storm itself was not as bad as the news reported I have heard. In fact, the airport didn't even close. The outer bands of the hurricane did some damage to the beach, they took the brunt of it, but have since been cleaned up and are back in beautiful shape. Kudos to the public works department in Aruba. Aruba is very much outside the hurricane belt so this kind of rough weather there is very unusual. Most importantly, Bugaloe Pier Bar is back up and running, so the drinks are flowing, the band is playing and sunsets are as amazing as ever. We hope you will come back again soon. Please accept $200 off any future weekly stay at any of our properties. Happy Travels. Mike and Kim

About Michael

We have been visiting Aruba, the most revisited island in the Caribbean for nearly a decade.

It's the beauty, safety and friendliness of this island paradise that sparked our interest in investing there... and oh yeah, it's out of the hurricane belt.

We have been renting property in Aruba for over 12 years and continue to grow our portfolio of rentals homes because we love the business of 'vacations'.

Through this listing and listings on VRBO and and other rental websites, in addition to our own websites, we have made the process of renting as easy as possible for our guests, who we know are just looking for an affordable vacation in a great location without a lot of aggravation. The rates you see are the rates you pay. We don't tack on added taxes or utility surcharges, like many rentals.

We try to keep it simple, and our success shows in our reviews. The reviews that have been been made by past guests of our properties reflect their experience with us, with their stay at our property and with Aruba. They are listed not only on our website but on public rental websites and they speak for themselves. In fact, we have the most total number of reviews on HomeAway and VRBO, the world's largest rental websites, which is more than any other rental on the island. We encourage you to check us out at the website link listed below. We'd be happy to answer any questions or concerns you have about traveling to Aruba or about our properties. I think you will find our properties to be the best value around. That is why we use the word GUARANTEE!

Well, life is short so be sure to use one week of it in Aruba!

Happy Travels,

Mike and Kim

Michael purchased this house in 2012

Why Michael chose Eagle Beach

This property, which we call Aruba Escape, Aruba is particularly special to us because it is near the world famous Eagle Beach and is also close to Palm Beach. From Aruba Escape, you can spend the day at the beach, snorkeling, out shopping, driving through the national park or just touring the island and then can come home to your relaxing, comfortable and inviting home, with great living space inside and out and a beautiful blue pool to enjoy a swim before dinner or a night out on the town. Being between the two most popular beaches in Aruba gives you the best of both worlds. You can enjoy the quiet, uncrowded beaches of Eagle Beach by day and the nighttime hot-spots of Palm Beach at night.

What makes this house unique

Aruba Escape is a house like no other in the Eagle and Palm Beach area. Besides the great features of the Caribbean-style home, the house is in a million-dollar neighborhood that is quiet and backs up to a park area. There is one continuous road in and out and almost no traffic.

There has a private master bedroom, with its own private bath. The other two bedrooms share a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. The home has a large, fully equipped kitchen, dining and a large great room that looks out over the covered patio and garden . The patio garden features a round covered patio and open sun patio around the beautiful pool, a barbecue grill, lounge chairs and beach chairs.

There is no other house like it in the area. We are sure you will love it as much as we do!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed at Palm Beach Escape and can't wait to go back. The house was so comfortable. It had everything we needed. We had coffee out on the patio each morning and cocktails at night. We spent many days on the sunny beaches in white sand, just a brief walk away. They even supplied us beach chairs and a cooler! We got a palapa (big straw umbrella) on the beach and we just took in the beauty, the sun, breezes and a few pina coladas. Their is service right on the beach! There was plenty for the kids to do along the beach and beach walk (like a boardwalk) and in the general area. Everyone had fun. Restaurants were great and Mike was a great help with any information or tips along the way. He also provided us with a great map, smartphone app and a restaurant discount card. We had it all. Booking for next December already!

Car: recommended

Our home, Aruba Escape is located in a quiet residential neighborhood called Bubali, across from the popular Eagle Beach area and just down the road from Palm Beach. It's just a short distance to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, casinos, the theater, and much more.

Other Activities include ATV rentals and tours, catamaran, sky diving, windsurfing, sailing, snorkeling, wave-runners, helicopter tours, a submarine ride, Arikok national park, nature hikes through the National Park, and so much more.

How close is the property to the beach?

Just outside the low-rise hotel district, 1 mile to the easy walk, bike or drive. All beaches are free and parking in plentiful.

Do you provide beach chairs?

Yes. We provide a limited number of beach chairs and a cooler. Beach towels are not provided.

How far are you from the airport?

A 10-15 minute drive.

Are there any additional taxes or utility surcharges?

Are there additional sleeping accommodations?

Yes. There is an optional guest suite which features a kitchenette, full bath, queen-size bed, and cable TV. There is also a queen-size air-bed available.

Is a deposit required to rent the home?

Yes, a $200 refundable security deposit. Proudly, we have never had to keep a deposit.

Do we need to rent a car?

It is strongly recommended to rent a car. Taxis are very expensive and there is a lot to see and do all over the island. There are 5 great beaches within 2-3 miles and dozens upon dozens of sites and activities throughout the area.

Will my cell phone work on the island?

Yes, and there are phones for rent at the airport. There are no hard-wired phones at the house.

What is the best time of year to travel to Aruba?

Any time of year is a great time of year to visit Aruba. The weather is consistently beautiful (88-92 degrees) with a comfortable, steady breeze. Summer is getting more and more popular, so reserve early. We do sell out June, July and August.

What do I do if I want to reserve the home?

Simply send us an e-mail and let us know what dates you would like to reserve. We'll e-mail you a reservation agreement.

What days can I check-in and check-out?

Will you hold my dates while I shop for airline tickets?

Yes, just e-mail us and we'll hold your dates for up to 48 hours while you shop for airfares.

What is the best way to shop for airfares?

You can search airfares using Google Flights or Orbitz (except Southwest Air). We recommend booking directly through the airlines website, however.

Do you provide maps and information on Aruba?

Yes. There will be information about attractions, restaurants, tons of activities, a map and discount coupon book and brochures.

Can I Google-Map the location?

Aruba does not use street names to the extent that most countries do. Many sections of Aruba have names, but the individual roads do not. This makes Google mapping very difficult. The map page of our website shows the area the home is located. As you see, it is close to Eagle Beach.

What currency do I use?

The U.S. dollar is accepted everywhere throughout the island. The local currency is called the Aruban Florin (AFL). $1 = AFL 1.75 - One U.S. Dollar is equal to 1.75 Aruban Florin.

Is the drinking water safe?

Aruba’s water meets the highest quality standards of the World Health Organization and is distilled in the world’s second largest desalination plant. When you buy bottled water in Aruba you are buying tap water.

What is the drinking and gambling age?

Are there medical facilities?

There are two hospitals. If you are on medication, be sure to bring all your prescription medicine with you. Foreign prescriptions cannot be filled in Aruba.

Some restaurants have a service charge, which can be deducted from your usual tip.

Shopping Hours:

Downtown Oranjestad, Main Street, which is good for daytime shopping, is open 9 am - 6 pm. Eagle and Palm Beach Malls and Hotel Areas are open night and day and have restaurants, clubs, nightlife, casinos and are open well past midnight.

When leaving Aruba:

US Customs and Immigration Aruba provides the services of the Department of Homeland/Security/ U.S. Customs and Protection (USCBP) for all passengers departing on flights to the U.S. To allow sufficient time to clear both Aruban and US procedures which include Transportation Security Administration (TSA) mandated screening of passengers and luggage, passengers are requested to be at the airport 3 hours prior to departure.

The voltage in Aruba is 120 volts, the same that is used in North America. No adapters are needed.

If I'd like to hold the reservation while I shop for airfares, what do I do?
