As a military family with young children in the US Air Force, we fell in love with the Emerald Coast after attending formal training at Hurlburt Field. Ever since, it was our dream to own a slice of this beach paradise. That dream became a reality in 2010. The beaches & Gulf is unmatched and shopping, restaurants, and activities are abound and available throughout most of the year. Call, text or email me and I'll be glad to share my personal experiences and tell you more about our place. We hope your family can enjoy time on the Emerald Coast in our family condo.
Matt purchased this condo in 2010
Close proximity to all that Destin has to offer. Short walk to pristine sugar sand beaches. On resort with multiple pools, tennis club and golf course. Short drive to HarborWalk Village, Destin Commons, Silver Sands Outlets, Village of Baytowne Wharf and Sandestin's Grand Boulevard.
As I was preparing to move to the Destin area, we stayed as family guests of Matt and his family for several months and it truly was our home away from home. I didn't really know what to expect of Destin and the condo-living lifestyle but it was A++
The condo was spacious and fully stocked and the views, oh the views. What a view! The blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico are stunning from the wall of windows-effect of the huge sliding glass doors.
It sealed the deal in our decision to move to the area. We highly recommend for summer vacationers and snowbirds alike.
This was our first time staying at Ariel Dunes. The condo is beautifully decorated and feels very cozy. It is very well taken care of and the 1 and 1/2 bath is great! We had a wonderful week stay here. The owner is great and he makes sure that if have any issues at all that you are taken care of! The resort is very clean and the pools are very well maintained. The beach is a bit of a walk especially with a toddler but the same with most resorts here. It was wonderful to have free beach service but be prepared for a bit of a walk down the beach. Our resolution was to drive down the street and park in the lot and then walk across the street. Then we learned that there was a beach trolly every 15 minutes and would take you to the same spot we were driving to! The only suggestion I would make is to have a broom available in the condo... we have a 2 year old and with all the sand trekked in from the beach and over a week it would have been nice to be able to sweep up. Other than that we have no complaints and will definitely be coming back. Thank you for the use of your beautiful condo!!!!
My husband and I, along with our 2 yr old, stayed 1 week at this beautiful condo in June 2014. My first impression was a lasting impression…it was so nicely decorated, clean, and had an amazing view! The pictures of the listing are a good representation, but its even better when you see it in person. This condo is great for a couple with kids and can accommodate more because of the bunk beds and sofa sleeper. We loved the fact that the place had 1 and 1/2 bathrooms…made getting ready for the beach more efficient! The condo was well-kept, and we loved the nice hardwood floors and how well decorated it was…felt cozy and just like home!! The view of the ocean is breathtaking! They had plenty of seating on the balcony, and my 2 yr old loved the little chair that was just her size…made mom happy too!! It was nice having kitchen appliances that were up-to-date because we cooked most of our meals during our stay. Having free beach service with this condo was sooo nice!! All we had to take to the beach was our beach bag and a cooler. Location of the condo, while not right on the beach, is still convenient. We drove our car to a parking lot close by and just had to cross the road for a nice day at the beach. Also, the owner, Matt, was great to work with…he was friendly, and his rates are very reasonable compared to other condos in the area. Overall, a wonderful, memorable stay….I would definitely recommend this condo without hesitation, and we would definitely love to stay there again for future vacations. Thanks for opening your beautiful condo to us Matt!
The condo was very clean and well maintained. It was very close to the beach and close to most all of the attractions. We will be back again for sure.
We had an absolutely perfect 2-month stay here in Ariel Dunes -- the photos hardly do justice to this lovely place. The condo itself was top-notch and modern, with a comfortable living area, and plenty of balcony space, perfect for watching the sunset over the Emerald Coast. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped; we cooked most nights during our stay, and I can truly say we weren't lacking any amenities -- there's even a slow cooker! The bedroom and bathrooms were also ideal.
Finally, the location couldn't possibly be better. While not in the heart of downtown Destin, this was actually a bonus -- we didn't have to wrangle with the mess of traffic that clogs the heart of downtown but were still a short drive from Harborwalk and Destin Commons.
Miramar Beach is absolutely STUNNING -- the sugar-white sands and turquoise waters never failed to take our breath away. The condo is a short, short walk from the shore, and also in walking distance to restaurants, a coffee shop, and plenty of spots for sunset cocktails.
Finally, dealing with Matt, the owner, was excellent. He was extremely helpful and responsive during the booking process, and also made himself available should we have needed anything during our stay.
Truly - this is a wonderful condo, with spectacular views in a great location!
We have stayed in the Destin area many times over the years, usually staying in Sandestin. This time we decided to stay in this unit instead and let me tell you it was a huge mistake! If you enjoy a luxury vacation you will not be happy at Ariel Dunes/Seascape. We arrived at around 4pm to checkin and the condo wasn't ready until almost 7pm because they were supposedly cleaning it still. Overall the front desk staff were rude upon checking in, this is just the overall attitude at this property. The property is what it is, very average, not much to do here without driving.
When we finally were allowed into the condo, we found it to be in a dirty and unkept condition. I'm not sure what their definition of clean is, but we were disgusted. There was dust everywhere (looked like it hadn't been dusted or thoroughly cleaned in months), carpet was very dirty with stains/black marks and crumbs of food still on the floor. Luckily there was a vacuum so we were able to clean it some. The walls are in desperate need of fresh paint.
In the kitchen, the furnishings were cheap "Walmart quality" and the pans were so scratched up that we ended up buying a skillet in order to be able to cook while there. The appliances and granite counters are nice but everything else in the kitchen is subpar. The sofa was pretty nice and looked pretty new and the TVs were good. Towels and bedroom linens were low quality. The bed was not very comfortable and the carpet in the bedroom was also in pretty dirty and in need of replacement. Mid way through our stay the dryer stopped working. The maintenance man was very nice, said the washer/dryer combo unit is pretty old and has been needing replaced for a while, he let us dry our clothes in a unit down the hall that was vacant. This unit was very nice and clean, so it's not all of the units at Ariel Dunes that are like this.
The view and the balcony are pretty good. The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes, just make sure to get to the beach by around 9am to get beach service. One day we waited until about 10 and when we got to the beach they said all of the chairs and umbrellas were gone. The pools are very nice as well.
I would not recommend anyone stay here unless the owners fix the unit up and have it properly cleaned. Regardless, we won't be back to Ariel Dunes, next time we'll be back at Sandestin where things are always perfect! If you appreciate luxury and perfection, I would not stay here.
We stayed in #1106 for a week 7/6 to 7/13 and I must say we were sad to leave! We were a family of six and this unit was clean and beatifully decorated. The view is spectacular, the pools are nice, and it is a very short walk to the beach. The Cabana Cafe on the property is also reasonably priced with good food, a full bar, and live music every night. Their service is also great! They have a bakery/coffee shop and icecream onsite as well. If you are on a budget this is a perfect place to stay, if you come ready with food and all your needs you don't even have to leave the property or beach area, you can walk to everthing! We will definitely be back!
