Please email or call for up to date rate quote and offers! Custom home built by the owner in 2004. Country setting in an orchard with Middlebury College just a five minute drive away. This is a quiet neighborhood surrounded by rural estates, and operating farms and orchards. The house has 3 levels with the main living area on the 2nd floor. This is a great space for a relaxing getaway; an artists retreat or for a group of skiers, riders or hikers. Come back after a day of outdoor adventure to warm radiant heat under elm and travertine floors. Several architectural details created from local hardwoods. The 2nd level has a large private deck facing west for evening sunsets and bbq grilling. This level includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area with one queen bedroom and a large bathroom/laundry. The shower is floor to ceiling travertine with built in bench. The upper loft is two spaces separated by a curved balcony. One end is for reading relaxing - there's a full couch and a desk with monitor and printer. The other loft space has two full size beds tucked out of the way. The first level entry has large built in cubbies and storage spaces for ski gear and backpacks. This level also has a separate queen bedroom with an additional futon. This bedroom has a private bathroom with walk in tiled shower. This is a great house to relax, read, write, paint or create. It's also a great jumping off place for a huge variety of activities.
We loved our stay at this house for a family event at Middlebury. Thank you!
Beautiful, cosy, well appointed home perfect for a long weekend visiting our daughter/sister who is a student at Middlebury. Peaceful, bucolic setting, plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy real quality family time. We hope to be back again for future weekends. Thank you!
Beautiful home and property!
We enjoyed our weekend in this house. The house is very modern and up-to-date with unique carpentry and some antiques and original paintings by one of the owners. The queen bedrooms were comfortable with nearby private bathrooms, but if we had others with us, they would have had to go up and down very step-pitched stairs to the loft containing two additional beds and a couch. It is a quiet family neighborhood with only the miniature donkeys next door as the only neighbors we saw. We recommend this house for a visit to the Middlebury area.
We loved this house! One of the nicest we have stayed in. It was so beautiful, well appointed, clean, and tastefully decorated. We also loved the apple trees and the miniature donkeys next door. We will definitely be back next year!!
This property is amazing. The home is located just 5 min from Middlebury and a perfect location! The home had three great bedrooms - and room for more on a pull out couch and a futon located in one of the bedrooms. The kitchen was brand new and well equipped with all the cooking utensils one could ever need. Brand new feel to the entire home and beautiful location! I would highly recommend this home to a family or multiple couples. We will come back for sure!
