Thanks again for everything! Happy New Year!
My husband, three of our married children and one grandchild stayed at this gorgeous home. It had every amenity needed for a great vacation and then some. It was large home where everyone could spread out and be very comfortable. (I especially liked the heated floors in the bathroom!) There was a small issue (slow bath drains) that didn't hamper our stay. However, there was one major issue that I hope has been addressed by now. The stairs do not have a railing on the bottom half. It is a dangerous hazard. My husband was coming down the stairs in socks and slipped on the 3rd or 4th step from the bottom. He landed very hard on his tailbone and it is still sore one month later. His wrist was sore (but is fine now) from bracing for the fall. I had been going up and down the stairs carrying my 1 yr old granddaughter but decided that was a dangerous idea. While the home is fantastic, the stairs w/o railings is a problem. I have told the owners my concerns and what happened and they have assured me that a railing will be put in. I hope they do it because otherwise it's an awesome vacation location.
Well I guess I ought to write a review. After all, this is our fourth winter visit in the last five years, not to mention having recommended the property to five other families, all of whom were very happy.
So what is so good about the place? First of all, the location. It’s a little east of town, just a five-minute walk downhill. Also, the pretty complete grocery store on Ridge St is close. I won’t walk that though because I don’t want to walk back up the hill carrying a couple bags of groceries. The market has its own parking lot but sometimes parking there is nevertheless a challenge.
We are a group of 9 adults, a 9-year-old, and 2 dogs and we have never felt cramped. The family room has a two-story vaulted ceiling. There are two bedrooms on the second floor balcony which extends across one side of the family room. One of the bedrooms up there is huge. You just about park your car there, if only there was a way to get it up to the second floor. There are two more bedrooms on the ground floor. There is a bathroom and a half on the first floor and two bathrooms on the second floor, one of which is part of the master suite. There is a very large game room with a full-sized pool table and a huge TV as well as disc player, wii, and Wi-Fi throughout the house. The dining room accommodates eight. On the deck outside the dining room there is a grill and a hot tub. Then there is the spacious kitchen which is a joy to work in. We were last at Royal Tiger Road two years ago. This visit we were pleasantly surprised to find a brand-new refrigerator. Because the new one is freezer drawer below rather than side-by-side, we were able to pack a lot more food in - with ease. The owners upgrade program continues. They also upgraded the gas stove. The old one really was fine. The new one is even better. Another improvement was the gas fireplace. Three years ago it was wood-burning fireplace but was hard to keep going. The gas fireplace is so much easier!
Two dogs? No problem. The back yard is fenced. Great fun watching them try to chase squirrels when they are up to their chests in snow.
All in all an absolutely great place for a large group: adults, seniors, kids, teens, and canines - all at once. We love the place so much we will be back next year. For sure !
We liked this place so much we're coming back for the third year! For this vacation we often have kids/grandkids visit and the property is perfect for that. The master bedroom is upstairs so if the kids want to stay up late they have their privacy in the living room and don't disturb you. The master has a well appointed bathroom, two sinks, tub, separate shower with a large walk in closet. The deck off the bedroom is great for watching the stars or just enjoying the view. There is another bedroom upstairs with two queen beds and a bathroom. The first floor is wonderful - two bedrooms with a shared bathroom, a large family room with tv, pool table, and a very comfortable sofa. PLUS a large living room with a tv. All the tv's have a zillion channels! The kitchen is wonderful - a brand new fridge and everything you need to cook or just microwave! There is a great deck off the dining room with seating, a very nice barbecue and a terrific hot tub. In the summer you can walk everywhere - town is a ten minute walk to shopping, restaurants and entertainment (Peak 8 Fun Park!). In the winter you can walk two minutes to the corner and catch the shuttle to town or the lifts. Grocery shopping is very close by. Hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing are all within walking distance. If your group is large you can also rent the attached "apartment" with an additional two bedrooms. Norma and Tracy are very easy to work with - Your comfort is their prime interest. A really wonderful property - Highly recommend! ENJOY!!!
We rented the house for a week for thanksgiving and it was the perfect place for us. Amazing kitchen (and I am very picky). Very clean. Owners were always available via text or phone with any questions and were very responsive to anything we needed. Great location close to downtown and the gondola. The bus picked up very close to the house. Was great for the kids to come and go, only a 5 minute bus ride to the gondola.
We rented this lovely house for a family reunion - 8 adults and 3 toddlers. Plenty of room, so that it never felt cramped. One evening we entertained 9 additional family members who were staying nearby, and still plenty spacious. Great attention to detail, and the owners are extremely responsive.
Outsdanding! Comfortable ,clean ,well Maintained, Awesome location to downtown Breck, and to Peak #8...Perfect for Family's large or small....Booking this house again for next year's trip after writing this review....Family loves this property.....Highly Recommend this vacation Home....
