Growing up in the Okanagan and now living in Edmonton, having our own cottage by the lake is a dream come true! We look forward to many years of memories and fun with our young children, family and friends.
Nothing can take away the stress of daily life and work like the view from our deck. Walking by the water and in the mountain side is just pure bliss and relaxation.
Everything was comfortable, quiet and clean during our two weeks at this cottage. The view from the deck is spectacular and unobstructed; peaceful. The resort has all the amenities to keep our kids (9 & 12) entertained. We appreciated the tennis rackets, books, games and DVD's supplied by the cottage/owner. We were able to rent a boat slip through the resort. We found that the cottage had all the necessary supplies for our stay. Yes, we did go grocery shopping prior to our arrival - this is a must. The kids fished on the dock during the evenings. Fun for the whole family. All went well - thank you! We would rent this property again and highly recommend it.
We spent a week in this great cottage and loved it. The views are spectacular and the deck is the perfect spot to enjoy the views...the mountains and lake during the day and the stars at night. The cottage is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the great selection of DVDs and games available as well. We were there in June before school was out so it was quiet. The owner was easy to deal with and friendly. It is a good distance from Kelowna, though, so anything you want to do that is not at the resort...shopping, groceries, golf, horseback riding...are all a good drive away. Be sure to bring groceries with you. The road from Kelowna is narrow and very windy but good...though I would recommend not driving it for the first time late at night!! :) I actually found it a fun road to drive during the day. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking to get away from the city and doesn't need to be right on the water.
We booked 14 days at the cottage and the view and property did not disappoint. The home was equipped with everything you could possibly need, was well stocked and very clean. Our first week presented challenges out of the owners control but they were very professional in dealing with us and kept communication open. Once resolved they were extremly helpful in ensuring our second week was bliss. The resort itself is amazing with a small store and lovely restaurant, amenities are clean and well maintained. There is tons to keep young and old busy and the lake area itself is astounding. The roads in are twisty but honestly after the first drive in they presented no issue at all, we were in and out of Kelowna several times and it just became another road. You could easily spend your entire vacation on resort or venture out to the nearby trails or take in Vernon and Kelowna. The resort is large and though you could walk, it would be difficult on little ones. We used our car to drive up to the pool or down to the lake as we had floaties and kids in tow. Next year we will rent one of the golf carts on site as that seems to be the way to go. The entire family simply did not want to leave and we can't wait to return.
The house was beautiful and the view spectacular! The major downside is the location - if you have small children and lots of beach toys, you will need to drive to the beach. The path is not suitable for small children or flip flops. But if you don't mind the drive, the owners keep the house in great condition and are really helpful and lovely to deal with. Access to free mini golf and the pools was an added bonus that helped keep the kids entertained. I would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind not being beach front and wants to soak up some amazing views!
good three bedroom cottage. great view of Lake Okanogan. Good deck with evening shade. Clean and tidy, well equiped with cable and WiFi. Two pools above the hiway and the lake below.
On a steep hill down to the lake with constant traffic at all hours on the hill.
Weather was hot as normal in the Okanogan; but owners asked that air conditioning not go below 73 degrees to ensure system did not crash. Upstairs this was still very warm. I think they need a bigger AC system. Mentioned to owner carpet stains so we were not charged on deposit.
We spent 12 days this fall and it was the most peaceful and enjoyable vacation we have had in a long time. The house is well furnished and comfortable, with an incredible view of the lake. The owner was extremely helpful prior to, during, and after our stay.
The resort is fantastic. Very modern and well maintained... with pools, hot tubs, volleyball courts, tennis courts and even mini golf! The kids had an incredible time, as did the adults
Would definitely book again if we are vacationing in the area.
Settled in the amazing Okanagan mountains and beside the vast Okanagan Lake there is every water sport you can imagine. There is Fintry National Park 5 minutes away from the resort which offers a sandy beach and a good hike up to the waterfall. There is horseback riding nearby, and every sport you would want to do. The tons of orchards and fruit stands can not be beat. They're are hundreds of wineries along the Okanagan to explore, not to mention the golf courses. If you want something more exciting, there are zip lines and a race course nearby. In the winter, skiers can enjoy the two nearby ski resorts: Big White and Silver Star . Something for everyone.
