Enjoy this stunning, Luxury Beach house tucked away on a quiet street just 2 short blocks from Twin Lakes Beach - one of the best in Santa Cruz! This casually sophisticated retreat has 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths and is ideally suited for a family vacation or romantic get-a-way. The Designer built and furnished home away from home has it all: including a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, spacious living/dining room with stereo sound, HDTV and gas fireplace, two landscaped private patio areas, one with gas fire-pit and the other with a ping pong table. In addition you will find a shed full of beach chairs, bicycles, boogie boards, and sand toys for your fun in the sun.

BEDS AND BATHS

Master Suite, with views of Schwann Lake, this room features a plush pillow top Cal-King bed with beautiful Eqyptian cotton linens and a down comforter, bedside tables with reading lamps and a full size dresser. Adjoining the bedroom is the luxurious bath that is outfitted with honed Carrera marble, double vanities, a large shower and heated floors. You’ll also appreciate the plush towels, hair dryer and bath amenities.

Bedroom #2, with a large picture window, has two twin beds, a small dresser and bedside lamp.

Bedroom #3 is perfect for the kids and features two bunk beds with fluffy, surf themed comforters, a large window, nightstand and lamp.

The two guest bedrooms share the hall bath which includes two sinks, Seagrass limestone counters and floors, separate tub/shower/toilet room, plush towels, hair dryer and bath amenities.

Downstairs adjacent to a full bath is a “Comfort sleeper” queen size sofa bed. This is not your typical sofa bed, but rather a full length, temper-pedic mattress which feels like a high quality bed. This area also includes an armoire, side table and lamp.

White painted wainscot and grey limestone counters add to the style of the downstairs bath featuring a separate tub/shower/ toilet room, hair dryer, plush towels and bath amenities.

LIVING AREA

The kitchen will please even a discriminating chef who will appreciate the Bertazzoni gas range, French door refrigerator, large capacity dishwasher and microwave all surrounded by beautiful granite countertops. Fully stocked with quality pans, cutlery and dishes, as well as commonly used spices and condiments.

The Dining area accommodates seating for up to 8 people and there are three additional stools at the island. French doors open to the private patio beyond.

The Living room is appointed with casual seating for viewing the HD TV or listening to the stereo sound system while enjoying the warmth of the fire. Enjoy the outside from this area as well through another set of French doors.

Hang your beach towels and leave the flip- flops in the well thought out Mud/Laundry Room equipped with stack washer/dryer and a utility sink.

PATIOS

Enjoy the Sunny Front Patio, surrounded by lush flowering plants that includes a gas barbeque grill, built-in gas fire pit and teak furniture.

The private Back Patio is set up for family fun with a ping-pong table and access to bicycles, boogie boards and beach toys in the storage shed.

A warm water Outside Shower is located on the side of the house.

ACTIVITIES

The main attraction, is of course the beach, and the house is just a couple easy blocks to one of the sunniest, nicest beaches in Santa Cruz. Located just south of the Yacht Harbor, Twin Lakes Beach has a mile of uninterrupted white sand, fire-pits and lifeguards. There are also two restaurants, a coffee house, surf shop and bathrooms. Relax and play in the sand, rent a boat or kayak, boogie board, play beach volleyball and enjoy fabulous sunsets.

Visit “the hook” or Cowell’s beach for great surfing, hang out at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk amusement park, check out the shops and restaurants in Downtown Santa Cruz or nearby Capitola Village, hike the beautiful trails in the redwood forest or bike along the coastline - all of which are just minutes away.

And, don’t miss the incredible sea life at the Monterey Bay Aqurium located just forty minutes South of Santa Cruz.

This is such an easy place to spend time and relax. When the weather is warm and sunny the beach is awesome, during the colder season it is so cozy by the fire curled up with a good book. Always a great place to go for a run or to enjoy the sunsets!

Designer built and furnished, this classic retreat is equipped with everything you could want including a gourmet kitchen with commercial gas range, granite countertops, high quality pans, cutlery, dishes and utensils; hardwood floors throughout; luxury baths with marble counters and plush towels; new beds with fine linens and down comforters/quilts. The living/dining room looks out to the private patio through three sets of French doors and features a flat screen HD TV, stereo sound, gas fireplace and seating for eight.

Convenient in Santa Cruz to Beaches and Pier

This is a nice rental for the beach. Difficult check-in at night since it is required to go around to dark alley with no way to find address from the back. Still, we made it in the property eventually. For the most part it was clean and well-kept but the beach gear/bikes/ping pong stuff are old and in need of repair. In fact, we would recommend getting rid of the ping pong table in the back as no balls or paddles are usable and the table is spent from being outdoors. We contacted the landlord about some issues when we arrived and never heard back, mostly that the front gate was coming apart and there had been a fire in the microwave before our arrival (the smell was overpowering). Also, food (moldy pasta salad, etc.) was left in the refrigerator but as noted, no one responded when we complained and we took care of it and avoided using the microwave. The house is spacious and fairly clean but run-down and needs some TLC. Be forewarned if you have a large vehicle, they require guests to come in and out of the alley entrance to the property and the alley is very narrow. We rarely review properties negatively, even properties that are well below expectations - but not replying to tenants who send an email on the first day of arrival shows the level of service one can expect here. One of the toilets ran the whole trip with signs everywhere to "conserve water" and this and other things were minor issues but still, communication would have been nice, even just a "Thanks for the note." Had to pester owner individually and through VRBO to get large deposit back. We left the place better than we found it for sure. As noted, convenient and nice enough but probably won't stay again when we visit Santa Cruz. Just be forewarned, this is not "luxury" and customer service will be lacking.

Fantastic beach getaway!

Beautifully designed home that was perfectly equipped for our long weekend. Great kitchen helped us prepare fantastic meals we enjoyed around the large dining table. We loved BBQing and sitting by the fire pit and finishing off our meals with some toasted S'mores. Walking distance to the beach. Look forward to renting again in the future! Thank you.

Quaint cottage at the beach!

Owners were very easy to work with. We arrived a little early and it was no problem. The property was as described. It was clean and directions were written very clearly.

All the women that stayed enjoyed their stay and would return again. It was plenty of room for all of us to sleep comfortably. Bedding was clean and comfortable.

The house was beautiful , well kept and well maintained

The renting process was very easy and we got replies very quickly. We had a wonderful time and will stay here again. The house had a very open and inviting atmosphere and we especially loved the enclosed patio and garden setting as well as the fire pit. The beds were all comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped and spacious for our needs.

Peaceful beachside weekend in Santa Cruz

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful beachside rental. It is exactly as advertised - and more! We were pleasantly surprised to find that the den with queen sofabed was actually a room unto itself easily sleeping two and serving as a family room - separate from living room - for those who wanted quiet time in the evenings when the rest of our party were cooking in the beautiful kitchen. The walk to the beach is a few short blocks through a charming neighborhood and the harbor is only a 5 min walk with a few restaurants, sand volleyball, etc.. Thank you for a lovely stay! We hope to return!
