This house and the Quechee area truly offers something for everyone.
We are homeowners in Quechee and rented this home for our extended family during Christmas week. It is a well-appointed 3BR with a loft and in a convenient location just off of Rt. 4. The owner was very responsive, both before and during my family's stay. While they were there, we had quite a large snowstorm and we were unable to get our 4-wheel SUV up the driveway. There was a concern about getting my elderly Mom out in the morning, but the homeowner responded to my email at 12:30 in the morning and texted his plow guy immediately about the situation. Needless to say, the driveway was cleared first thing in the morning and we had no issues at all. If you're looking for a nice home convenient to Quechee and Woodstock, this is a great place!
We had a great time! Weather was great secluded home on the end of dirt road very private. Hot outside but the way the house is built into the side of the hill it was pleasantly cool inside. Great house plenty of room for all!
We stayed here while at a horse show in Woodstock which means getting up early and going to be late. This home was comfortable, well equipped and located and was a next respite from the long days. I had to contact the owner with questions and he was very responsive and helpful.
I would definitely stay at this home again.
We spent a bitterly cold yet excellent weekend in this very nice mountain house.
The open kitchen high ceiling living room with gigantic window and views on the mountain was a perfect place to spend end of afternoon and nice dinner with friends and family.
It says three BR but there are actually four.
Our host was reactive and super helpful (check in, solutions to fight the -5F temperatures).
We would not hesitate one second to come back.
We visited for a summer weekend as 2 families--4 adults and 4 kids. We fit perfectly and the house was very enjoyable. The kids liked running around in the empty cul de sac and on the big deck. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook it. It's a very secluded peaceful location, but convenient to both Quechee and Woodstock. Highly recommended. Everything was clean and in working order.
This was a great house and Kajal is a great host! All of the instructions were very simple. The house was delivered clean, and it was about 30 mins from Killington Ski Resort just like he said. The living room area is awesome for entertaining, and the high ceilings are a great feature. Navigating to the house is a little challenging, so I would suggest just asking for the map coordinates rather than the address. We would definitely come back!

Just a two hour drive from Boston or a four hour drive from the New York City area, Quechee is beautiful all year-round with distinctive offerings for each season. Quechee is a classic, picturesque small town in Vermont with numerous attractions, outdoor activities and restaurants, including the renowned Quechee Gorge, Quechee Ski Hill, Simon Pearce glassblowing and family-friendly Lake Pinneo. In-town restaurants include Simon Pearce, Parker House Inn, Quechee Inn, the Quechee Club Restaurant (called the Grille Room) and Firestones. In addition to miles of hiking, snowshoeing, downhill and cross-country skiing trails, and freshwater kayaking and canoeing, the Quechee Club offers indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and squash courts, two 18 hole golf courses and a well-equipped fitness center with cardio and weight machines, free weights and a sauna.
While the Quechee Ski Hill boasts family-friendly downhill skiing trails, those looking for more challenging slopes and more rugged terrain will find it just a short drive away at Killington, Pico, Suicide Six, Sugarbush and Mad River Glen, to name a few.
During the milder months, there are numerous swimming holes and lakes for canoeing and kayaking to explore and enjoy. Wilderness Trails, located by the Quechee Inn, offers canoe, kayak and bike rentals, instruction and guided tours.
If you decide to venture outside the town limits, Woodstock is about six miles to the west on Route 4 and offers many shops, boutiques and restaurants. Meanwhile, Dartmouth College and its beautiful campus is about a fifteen minute drive. If you go there, be sure to stop in at Murphy's for one of their legendary burgers or other upscale pub fare.
With so much to offer, one thing you will not be in Quechee is bored.
