About Claudia Amory
Palms Court Gardens is privately owned. Until 2003 it belonged to the Royal Bank of Canada who for many years had their managers staying at this property. In 2003 it was sold to a local business man, Ernest Amory and his wife Claudia - an arts and crafts teacher from Switzerland. The cottage was initially built for the family's own purposes; a design studio on the ground level and a one bedroom apartment on the second floor for their private guests. It is now offered for the first time for rent. After the family purchased the property in 2003, a 7 year period followed of extensive restorations, re-landscaping, and adding a luxury infinity pool and the guest cottage. The family finally decided to share the beauty of the gardens and the stunning ocean, town and mountain views with the visitors and residents of St.Kitts.

The property was beautiful the guest house was unique and well equipped the pool was wonderful staff was outstanding super friendly and helpful would definitely recommend to wishing to go to St Kitts
Overall fine. Two issues were strangers walking around property at night and when we checked out we remained o property by the pool for 3 hours and no one notified us that we had left some personal belongings in unit.
Many thanks for your feedback. However, I'm surprised to hear that in retrospect your stay at Palms Court Gardens sums up to "overall fine", since the personal feedback you gave to our manager has been very positive. But maybe the issue on your second last day, when you lost the keys in Nevis for the cottage door and the bedroom safe, and you then weren't able to remember the code for the safe, because you had it locked on a piece of paper inside the safe, afflicted the initially fond experience of your stay. We have understanding for this, life happens, and I did not even remove one star of your rating for having had the troubles to get a locksmith to break the safe open, buy a new one and get a carpenter to screw it down in place.
In the interest of our future guests though let me emphasize please, that there are no strangers (without reason or our permission) walking around the property. All gates are locked at night, and the walls all around the property are too high to jump over easily. Also there are cameras installed throughout the entire property. It might have slipped your memory at that moment, that our restaurant, located at the main house, opens sometimes to groups in the evening and some of the guests like to take a walk around the garden or down to the pool after dinner.
The reason why we haven't contacted you about your forgotten items while you were still on property was, because the 4 pairs of (used) underwear have been in a drawer somewhere in the bedroom, and have only been located during final inspection after the cleaning when you have left to the airport already.
We decided, that it would not be worthwhile for you to pay for postage to Canada to have the underwear shipped together with the other items left behind (almost empty bottle of shampoo, some half finished honey and some other almost finished food items in the fridge, which guests usually never take with them), ant this was the reason why we did not contact you.
We thank you for your stay and do hope, that the positive memories will prevail despite the unpleasant experience of loosing the keys.
Best wishes from Claudia and the entire Palms Court Gardens team.
This accommodation is perfect for us. The view is fabulous. We have an infiniti pool and hot tub to ourselves when the restaurant closes around 5 pm. The apartment is very comfortable, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, towels, shower soap, hair dryer, air conditioning in the bedroom, a sizeable library (I've always managed to find books that interest me), a sizeable balcony with plenty of seating. The staff at the restaurant are very nice to deal with. Claudia is a great host. Her parents used to live there when they visited. Pick this place. You won't regret it.
We loved every minute!
Our stay at Palms Court Garden was everything we expected, hoped for and more. The guesthouse is so well equipped, there was nothing that we needed or were missing. We loved Claudia's attention to details both inside and outside. The property is very well maintained, and beautiful. The views are wonderful, and even on the one day that was a bit busy with cruise ship guests we felt we had full privacy. After 5:00, when the closed sign went up, the pool was all ours to enjoy.
All staff were helpful, friendly and charming. We each had a delicious breakfast in the restaurant on several mornings, and also lunch from the restaurant on our balcony one day. We were left alone to enjoy the beauty of the property and St Kitts, but when we needed anything or had any questions there was always someone we could ask.
During the day we spent many wonderful hours just enjoying the view and the breezes on the very well equipped and comfortable balcony. At night we were entertained with the big screen TV, and the sounds of nature.
There are several good restaurants within walking distance, but we also drove to Frigate Bay for dinner on several evenings.
This location provides easy access to the beaches and sights in the northern area of St Kitts, but also in the south.
We have absolutely no complaints, only glowing compliments, about Palms Court Gardens and our stay. We will be recommending this oasis to many friends.
Hello Claire, many thanks from the entire team for having taken your time to write such a detailed and informative feedback. It has been our great pleasure to have you as our guests! Claudia
Had a great time!
Claudia was wonderful and so was the entire staff! The apartment was very comfortable. Easy walk to town with several restaurants a 5 minute walk away. Would definitely visit again!
Palms Court Gardens is located just a 2 min. walkaway from 4 fabulous restaurants, all located on the same street. Asian Gardens offers Taiwanesan cuisine, Waterfalls at Ocean Terrace Inn Hotel a great international and local cuisine, Serendipity just next to it a fabulous international nouvelle cuisine, and 2 min. further down the road lies Fisher Man's Wharf, offering local cuisine directly on the waterfront.
