Experienced owner, a Homeaway member since 2010.
I am a mom, Real Estate agent that started short term rentals 6 years ago. I have several units in the Toronto area, as well as properties in Lima Arequipa, Peru. This is a job that I've truly learned to enjoy.
Gisella Linares purchased this condo in 2012
I used to live in the King St and Spadina Ave area for many years before I got married and loved it! I loved how easily you can walk to shops, restaurants and night life. The shopping in Queen Street is fantastic.
The apartment is very quiet since it's not facing a major street. It also has a huge walk-in closet.
My husband and I stayed in this condo for four nights and would recommend it to a couple who wants to be within walking distance to the many attractions of downtown Toronto. The CN Tower was a short walk away, as were numerous restaurants along King Street. If you’re willing to put a few miles on your walking shoes (like we were) Queen, Bloor, Yonge, Dundas, University Ave and Lakeshore were all within walking distance of the condo. Public transit was also easily accessible (we used it to get to the CNE), as was a car rental company (5 minute walk). The building felt very secure (you needed a fob to get in the building and for the elevator to work, plus there was a “guard” at the front desk). The unit itself was exactly as it was in the pictures so there were no surprises (but keep in mind, the photograph showing what you see outside the windows is accurate: you really are in a fishbowl). The condo was modern, beautifully furnished, well stocked and very clean. Given that the unit faced an inner courtyard, there were minimal street sounds but the unit is right beside the elevator so you do hear a mechanical hum/whoosh while in the kitchen/living room (but the A/C covers it up in the bedroom). The cable package was the bare minimum, which meant not being able to catch the CFL game (or much of anything else). Booking, check-in, check-out and refunding of damage deposit were all efficiently handled.
Gorgeous and spotless condo, genuine and friendly owners, truly a joy to be in!
Gisella’s place was absolutely immaculate and fantastic!!! Gisella’s father waited for us outside the condo building for more than 1 hour because our train was late coming in from Niagara Falls, and he was so sweet and kind and showed us the apartment despite the late hour.. There is a washer and a drier inside the apartment which made our life so much easier, whenever we had a question or need, Gisella or her parents were there within minutes to help us.. and the location of the place was just unbelievable. It's right in the middle of everything, within walking distance to all the best places (downtown, shopping and lovely restaurants, CN Tower, The aquarium which was tons of fun, the ferry that takes you to wards island and center island, chinatown and much more ) And it was also very close to the Toronto Union Station. The apartment was not only beautiful but also super functional. It had everything you would ever need, and the towels and blankets and bedsheets smelled so clean, it was such a pleasure to lounge inside the condo that we really felt home when we were there, and it definitely made our stay so much more fun and memorable! Thank you again Gisella for everything!!! Can’t wait to come back and stay with you guys again!!!!
Clean, modern high end accommodation that makes your visit to Toronto a memorable experience! Gisella is the best!
We stayed here for a long weekend and had a great experience. It was safe, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The location is good with many places within walking distance. It's a one bedroom with a pull-out couch. We took our 3-year-old and set her up sleeping in the walk-in closet. The closet has a vent and a light so it would also be perfect for a portable crib.
My wife and I stayed here for our first visit to Toronto and had an incredible time. The condo is centrally located in the Downtown area and is within walking distance of everything. Here is a small sampling of what was in the vicinity of the building: An upscale supermarket, a pharmacy (with more basic groceries), numerous restaurants and bars, cultural institutions, the CN Tower, a ZipCar rental station (and gas station- we did a day trip to Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake), a liquor store, and a cafe at the base of the building. We even walked to and from Billy Bishop airport. Anything further away than walking distance was only a short and inexpensive cab ride; we were always able to hail a cab at the corner. As for the unit itself, it was clean and comfortable. There is a washer and dryer in-unit, and the appliances in the unit are top of the line. All of the finishes are all granite, wood, and stainless steel. The large balcony spans the width of the unit but we did not use it except to check the temperature outside. My wife is a fitness nut and the gym in the building was fine for her needs. My wife's only complaint is that there was no full-length mirror. Overall, one could not ask for a better home base when touring Toronto. And I just need to respond to one comment on a previous post that the unit is “not luxurious” and “not big.” Perhaps the decorations are simple, but this is definitely a new (or recently built) luxury building. With respect to size, we found the unit to be more than adequate. It only provides sleeping for two (there is no pull-out couch), but you could probably entertain 8-10 guests if you wanted to. Unless you are a sheik or oligarch, this place has everything that you need! The owner is also easy to work with and a genuinely nice person to deal with. My wife and I would absolutely stay here again if we visit Toronto again (which I am sure we will - it is an amazing city).
I would stay here again, and I recommend this place to couples who are visiting Toronto. I knew nothing about the city but chose this place by map and reviews, and I am glad I did! It is nice and clean, simple, contemporary, not luxurious but has thoughtful decor. It is not big; a small kitchen with bar and 2 stools to eat, a connected sitting area, a small but adequate bath, and a bedroom which just fits the queen size bed. But we didn't need more room--we were out all day--it was good for 2 people but I couldn't imagine more. We did go out on the balcony that faces the garden which added more space. The linens were average: thin towels, no wash cloths, and mediocre sheets. But the bed was firm and had comfortable pillows. The location allowed us to walk and bike everywhere. The LCBO is across the street and the grocery around the corner. Gisella was easy to work with and kind. She repaired the coffee maker in a timely manner and communicated clearly. If we ever go back, we will stay here again. I felt safe, even walking home after midnight.
