The cottage is nestled in a clearing in the woods by the lake. It is a rustic cabin with two bedrooms, a bathroom, fully equip eat-in kitchen, comfortable living room, and a screened in porch to relax with a table to eat out in nature. There is a fireplace on the sandy beach with picnic tables. There is a charcoal grill, microwave, blender, and many other household items. There is a basketball court, horseshoes, and a place to play volleyball or badminton.
This property has been a home to Nash Family for over 50 years. It is a very special place where we have had much family fun and filled with great memories. There is always a member of the family staying on the property.
Jane purchased this cabin in 1957
Our property is special because of the great beach we have that faces west. You can swim anytime of the day or night. There are many pine trees surrounding the property which helps to seclude you from hectic life.
This is a very special place to ALL of the Nash Family. When you stay at Nash Cabins we want YOU to make it your 'Home Away from Home.' Come relax by the lake or go sight seeing-Maine has MUCH to offer!
This was a getaway for our son & his 2 friends- all recent high school graduates. We all had a very relaxing time... taking pictures of the natural beauty around the lake & the stunning sunsets, taking walks in the woods. We took advantage of taking the rowboat out... I haven't been in a rowboat for 20+ yrs!
The beach was just a short walk, well stocked with plenty of inner tubes & adirondack chairs for all. There were canoes available too.
The cabin was comfortable- we all took advantage of the screened porch at some point in our stay. Jane made us feel welcome- showing us what was available, not only here at the cabin, but in the local area too (Ice Cream at Mosquito's! Yum!)
Beautiful, peaceful, restful, rejuvenating...
Our family stayed here for a week and loved it! Jane is very hospitable, and went out of her way to accommodate us. The cabin was clean, spacious and rustic; it was safe and comfortable for our young children. The sandy beach and dock were fun for our kids to build sand castles and swim. Pond is super clear, and we enjoyed using the canoes provided by the property. The only issues we had were the Wifi didn't work in our cabin, and the air conditioner leaked water across the floor (although it was running a lot because it was hot that week). Even with said issues, we would definitely come back again and recommend Nash Cabins to our friends and family for a relaxing lake vacation!
Our family loved our stay at Nash Cabins. The lake's cool, clear water was delightful, the fishing was superb, and the cabin was spacious and comfortable. The sandy beach & large lawn were ideal for small children to play and for making s'mores in the evening. Jane was a wonderful hostess and quickly took care of our needs. We look forward to visiting again next summer!
This was my first experience at Nash Cabins and it was a great one! The cottage was very clean and well stocked. The beach and layout of the land was absolutely beautiful and the water and views were incredible. Jane was super friendly and welcoming. We would definitely love to come back to Nash Cabins and bring more of our family with us. I know they would all enjoy it as much as we did.
We've been coming to Nash Cabins for over 50 years, and each year gets unbelievably better and better! An amazingly breathtaking and mesmerizing experience for children as well as adults, this vacation has something for everyone. Jane is a fantastic host and goes out of her way and then some to accommodate everyone's needs. Clean and comfortable yet maintaining a rustic ambiance, one definitely feels away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. Fishing, canoeing, sunbathing, swimming, volleyball, basketball, card playing, campfires, nature walks, quiet reading, grilling, etc. Nash Cabins has always been our place to escape with our 4 children who are now adults and bringing their significant others to continue the tradition. The tranquility and beauty is contagious and hard to leave. Once you've tasted the Nash Cabin experience, you will want more.
This was absolutely what my family needed - A little slice of heaven away from the grind. Miss Jane greeted us with open arms upon our arrival. Her welcoming nature immediately helped us feel right at home. Ready to answer all of our questions, she was more than helpful to offer suggestions about the local fare. Pat's Pizza, Fisherman's Catch and Cole Farms were outstanding! The cabin was more than we expected. We are a family of six and there was more than enough room for all of us. The grounds were clean and stocked full of amenities for the kids to play with. Plenty of inner tubes, life jackets, and sand buckets to use. She also has row boats (which we used to fish just about everyday), canoes and a dock in case you bring your own water toys! If you want a welcoming yet secluded nature environment that is only fifteen to twenty or so minutes from grocery, eatery, and other local establishments, then this is your place! A definite start to a new family tradition! See next year!
There is a wide variety of things to do such as plays, water parks, golf, LL Bean and outlet shopping, boat rides, whale watching, zoo, gambling, mountain climbing, moose watch, quaint little shops, and restaurants. For those of you that want to stay at the water's edge; there is such a peaceful relaxed atmosphere that would be hard to beat!
