The coastal trail offers long walks, hikes or jogging along the ocean bluff trail with the sounds of the crashing waves, and aquatic animals, sea lions, otters, whales and aquatic birds. Other local wildlife include deer, hummingbirds, and foxes.

LOVE this place - have been coming here for 6 years and just enjoy it so much. Best view at The Sea Ranch because of the expansive ocean vista; private because the trail is not right up to the house; great back yard area for kids. COOKS KITCHEN that we probably couldn't find anywhere else. Essentially 2 separate "wings" of the house ideal for 2 families. New owner has converted garage to rec room with flatscreen TV, ping pong and games. Very handy for kids and on rainy days. HIGHLY recommend!!!!!
We have had three wonderful stays at the Living Roof property. The layout of the home works really well — two wings with two bedrooms each, and Jack & Jill bathrooms between each set of two, plus the half bath near the living area. The view is spectacular and proximity to the bluff trail (not too close, so private enough) is great — you can walk to the many beaches.
The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the barbecue is a good one and was spotless when we arrived. The garage to rec-room conversion with games, TV and ping pong is an added bonus to the very comfortable living room, especially if there are children in the group. We found the owner to be friendly and easy to deal with.
Sea Ranch is one of those places that's great at any time of year and in any weather. One can be as relaxed or as active as one wishes. We will certainly return.
as a regular sea ranch visitor i have stayed in many houses. I will start with saying this is one of the better kitchens i have had here with the exception of the post-it notes telling you to leave spices in alphabetical order (If you are paying over $800 a night this is not your job) . the house is overall pretty nice and great location. the down side is dealing with the property manager (worst I have ever encountered). If you want to be harassed and watched during your stay this is the place for you.

In your reservation inquiry state the names & ages of all people in your party.2 parking passes will be issued which must include the license plate number of your vehicle(s). Parking is available for 2 vehicles. Holiday rentals are a 6 night minimum stay. No pets allowed.
Upon receipt of security deposit funds a receipt/confirmation will be mailed & the calendar changed to reflect your dates as reserved/confirmed. All other fees; lodging, tax, housekeeping fees must be received 30 days prior to your check in date. Send in one check for your secuirty deposit & one check for the balance. Group checks can not be processed. No pets allowed, no exceptions.
