About Clyde Woodworth
Clyde and Virginia Woodworth built this as a cottage in 1991. Our families are from this area but we have lived in many parts of Canada. We live on the same property but in a different house so will be here to help with any problems.
Clyde Woodworth purchased this House in 1991
Why Clyde Woodworth chose Albert County
This area is a hub to tourism attractions and can inform our guests of the many things close to us to see and do.
What makes this House unique
We are a quarter mile off the main highway so peace and quiet are one of the reasons to be here. Lots of creatures to amuse you from horses on the farm to wild turkeys roaming and the occasional dog, cat or chicken.

What a hidden treasure!!
What a great time we had with our 3 children. Perfectly located between Alma and the Hopewell Rocks! The accommodations were clean and equipped with everything we needed and then some. We all loved the swim in the lake at the end of the day after exploraring the area and also the use of the kayak, canoes, and other amenities! Clyde was very knowledgable of the area and had readily available information on tours and other sites of interest to visitors. We will definitely return in the future and will surely recommend to others! Thanks so much!
appreciate your wonderful comments. Come back anytime, you left the house so clean. Thanks
AWESOME, ONE OF THE BEST PLACE TO STAY
We rented the cottage in Aug, 2017 for 1 week and wished we could've stayed for longer. I don't think Clyde realized what had happened in the previous week of our travel. We had travelled from Nova Scotia, and the cottage we were at, in East Tracadie, turned out to be bug infested and so dirty, that we ended having to check into a hotel because the hosts refused to take any responsibility. We were screamed at and were treated so poorly that when we arrived at Clyde's it was literally as if we had arrived at some palatial palace and were treated like royalties.
Clyde was so attentive; he phoned us just shortly after check in time because were still en route to make sure everything was still OK. Then he told us to take our time, and the cottage was opened and make ourselves at home, and not to worry about paying the balance of the rental. Then Clyde dropped by later on to make sure that we were settled in nicely and apologized that one of the ceiling fan in 1 of the bedroom wasn't working; (we didn't even noticed) and as well explained that they had some water pressure issue last week but it has been fixed. Later on in the week, when the water pressure did dropped Clyde was at the house fixing it within 10 minutes of our call, eventhough it was 10:30pm and we even told him not to worry. This was such a breath of fresh air, again after what we had experienced in previous week. When we called the hosts from the previous cottage explaining that there were bugs on the bed, floor, etc and that there was a sewage stence, they didn't believe us; told us that they were observing a SILENT DAY on their SPIRITUAL DAY, and therefore will not be able to come until Tuesday, because Monday was their DAY OFF. And our check in day was Saturday. Imagine that!! Clyde's cottage was more than the pictures meet the eyes. EVERY room was tastefully decorated; Then we all had to try out the WHIRLPOOL tub in the masterbedroom. HOW GLORIOUS after a day of hiking. The entire cottage was immaculately cleaned and well stocked. He lent us his brand new lobster pot, when we asked for one. Clyde shared his vast knowledge of the area with us . Our girls enjoyed visiting with the farm animals, cats and especially their dogs, Amy and Lucinda. Clyde was so laid back that he didn't even bother asking us for the balance of the rental until the Tuesday afternoon. DEFINITELY worth coming back and one of the best hosts and cottages that we've rented in 20 years.
Everything we could ask for!
Really enjoyed our stay here. All the amenities we needed and close to the attractions we wanted to see. Hiking in Bay of Fundy park and Hopewell Rocks! Basking in the sun on our deck gave us great downtime. Would definitely book again!
We thank the Poulsen,s for their kind remarks. Clyde and Virginia Woodworth, New Horton Lake Inn between Fundy National Park
and Hopewell Rocks
Beautiful place - felt right "at home" here.
Lovely big home with everything you'll need to want to keep coming back. Thoroughly enjoyed!
We are 5 minutes from Marys Point beach where you can watch sandpipers by the thousands swoop together. The Rocks and Fundy national park are within 20 minutes of us and Waterside beach and CapeEnRage are 15 minutes away. We have 300 acres and are on water going to New Horton Lake so there are many activities on the property
