You are looking at our Burke Mountain getaway. This house was newly built a couple of years ago and features a bunkroom downstairs that can sleep 7, a bedroom upstairs that can sleep 4, and a loft that can sleep 3. There are 2 3/4 bathrooms, one one each floor. There is also a great room that is attached to a large deck that overlooks the large fielded backyard that is surrounded by woods. There is a full kitchen as well as a charcoal grill on the deck. There is also a TV room downstairs with a DVD player. There is also broadband wifi. Outside there is a large field/hill that leads down to a fire pit area and pump track. Past the fire pit is a river that is deep enough for wading. There are some short hiking trails on the property and a small cabin further down the river. The property is 3/4 a mile from W. Darling Hill road and is a short pedal to the Kingdom Trail trail system.
Nice place, quiet location, 5 min drive form the kingsom trails.
There is even a pump-track in the backyard to warm-up before going to the trails.
House had plenty of room, convenient location. Large private yard with fun pump track & fire pit.
My first trip to Kingdom. The house exceeded expectations, and the owner was helpful and easy to work with. My group was smaller than expected at only 4 people. I have no doubt the house can comfortably handle a lot more as others have stated. I'll definitely be back next year with a larger group. Cheers!
This is the second year myself and 10 of my friends rented this house. The house is a conveniently located a 5-10 minute pedal to the trails, and is very well appointed. The landlord was quick to respond to my emails and was very easy to work with. The house is a LARGE A- Frame with 3 levels. The kitchen and bathroom have granite countertops, and were clean and neat upon arrival. Recently the owner added a small pump- track in the backyard, which proved to be a fun addition after a day of riding the XC trails. Great house for the money and I will definitely be renting it again!
Bill (the owner) was quite responsive with any questions I had and quickly resolved some VRBO technical glitches. The house is located on a quiet dirt road approximately 1.5 low-traffic-miles from the Coronary trail of the Kingdom Trail network. Our group of eight parked our cars and biked for three days without ever having to drive. Bliss!
The back porch made for a spectacular hang-out to enjoy the view (as well as watching pump-tracking friends). The home was comfortable, well constructed, clean, and charming. The ring toss game was a hit! The huge, central table easily accommodated our entire group which encouraged a spectacular game night. The layout offered three distinct sleeping quarters which helped with coworkers of each sex, marital status, and morning routines. The owner's love of bicycles and outdoor sports is prevalent throughout the home, which just made us feel good about being there.
Everyone had a fantastic time and is looking forward to visiting again. Thanks Bill!
Se stayed for the week-end to bike at Kimgdom Trail and the location was perfect.
The house is big, there is a large table to eat and a nice balcony. Some sheets were missing, So you may quant to bring some bedding if you are using all the beds.
