We chose this location because of the South facing sunny ocean front and the pleasant Mediterranean climate .

My wife and I, and some friends stayed here for a reunion. My wife and her friends lived on Pender in the early 80's and this was the perfect base of operations for our stay. Comfy rooms, great kitchen, beautiful deck, and that amazing view! We spent long lazy mornings sipping coffee and remembering old times, and great evenings belly laughing over tall tales. I found a geocache at the nifty little beach almost the doorstep, we also bookedWhat a relaxing, comfortable place to stay. I would come back here in a minute.
We had a great time on Pender Island(s), in no small part thanks to this fantastic house. We found it to be spacious, clean, and very well stocked for our needs. We only needed to bring our own food, everything else was available and in great condition. Our kids loved the games and video collection! The property is located on South Pender Island, near Gowlland Point which is a beautiful and quiet beach with a hiking trail. The roads are great and it was easy to explore both islands.
All in all, a highly recommended place!
We've now visited Tranquility on four different summers starting when our Labradoodle was a puppy and our children in elementary school and then again this August as our son prepares to leave for university, our daughter for Grade 12, and the doodle stays with us. We love this home--it's peaceful, uplifting, and simple pleasures like a walk to the beach, the moon shining through a skylight, a visiting deer, or watching the whole Star Wars trilogy again become very important memories. The owners have done everything possible to make their home hospitable. Four thumbs up and one big paw!
