You won’t want to leave this beautiful property.
This is a very nice location (Park Station) just a short walk (less than a minute!) to Main Street shops and restaurants. The condo is just as described. We especially enjoyed the fact that even though the condo faces another building, you would never know it because of all the trees that fill the view. We communicated well with Park City Vacation Prop., which is why we booked this place over another for just about the same price because we could never get the owner/manager to answer our emails. Thank you,. By the way, the sofa bed is very comfortable in case you need to use it. And the pool is beautiful. The bathrooms are very nice (terrific showers) and the towels are great! Everything was really clean and well appointed. We really enjoyed our three-day stay.
Tried posting the full review I wrote, but inadequate character count doesn't allow me to share all the details. Abbreviated version here.
Each taken individually not a big deal, but taken together, they soured the experience:
- Unit itself has been renovated, but the building is old and ugly inside
- 5 of 7 lights under kitchen cabinets out
- 1 of 2 lights by fireplace out
- 2 of 3 lights over master bath vanity out
- light over master shower out
- ice maker in the freezer didn’t work
- emailed the mgmt co about the above; only fixed vanity & fireplace lights
- front burner on the stove didn’t work. Sunday husband jiggled it, spark flew out, hit his head, and blew out the whole range. Communication around getting it fixed was not good; in the end it was fixed by Monday noon which was good.
- recliner didn't recline; handle missing
- sliding doors to coat closet incredibly difficult to move
- room with two beds had no curtains & a broken blind
- WiFi instructions inadequate, speeds were slow & didn’t reach the master bedroom. Emailed about it; much back & forth; no resolution; used public network hence the bad experience.
- No trash room inside the building, not apparent outside, emailed about it and was told they had no idea where it was.
- listing said washer & dryer; it's 1 floor up & you have a pay for it. Hadn't planned on that. Washed things in sink.
- binder in the unit would be nice given how not straightforward internet, trash, and laundry are
- mattress in the MBR was hard and old-school where you feel every move your partner makes
- note on picture of pool in listing said “open in the summer” so didn’t pack bathing suits. Pro: open. Con: had to buy four suits so we could use it
- Location is fantastic. Easy walk to Town Lift and all of Main Street
- Kitchen is adequate, though there are so few dishes I ran the dishwasher every day
- Space is adequate
- Very quiet
- Hot water and water pressure were very good, important to me after a day on the mountain
- Pool and hot tub were fun to use with the kids each night
- Wonderful to have the fireplace, there was wood we could use, but know you have to go out and either find kindling or buy fire starters
- Good grocery store close by (~3 minute drive or 15 minute walk)
The location and price are great, so decide for yourself if these things matter and you’re willing to put up with lots of little annoyances. However, I wouldn’t stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay in Park City in January at this condo - the perfect location for a family of 4 skiers. We could walk the half block to the Town Lift at Park City or we hopped on the bus right in front of Park Station for skiing at Deer Valley. The condo itself was clean and the right size for us. The beds were comfortable after a full day of skiing. The kitchen is fine and there are great restaurants are within easy walking distance.
The best thing about this place is its location. Because it was clean and neat, I gave it two stars, but everything was minimal and we did not feel welcomed. It is rather dark, lights needed even at noon, and lamps with 60 watt bulbs just do not provide enough light for reading comfortably on the couch. Explicit directions for connecting to wi fi would have been appreciated. There was an extra step we were ignorant of and we were very frustrated before talking to the nice person at the lobby desk. There was no listing of TV channels, and it was irritating to have to go through 50-odd channels to find the one you wanted. Even cheap motels provide this! An unworkable blind in the smaller bedroom (mentioned by an earlier renter) needs to be fixed. One small soap per bathroom? Cheesy. One bathroom sink and one shower are plumbed backward....not a deal breaker, but irritating. The two-slice toaster only worked on the outside....if you wanted both sides toasted, you had to flip the bread and toast again. And only one dish towel?? We found a second one in the housekeeping closet with a sign saying "please do not use"! There are not enough dishes. With just six plates, six salad plates and five salad bowls, if this place is filled to capacity, someone must always be washing dishes! No cereal bowls or odd containers. One small cube ice tray? Not enough! Most mornings we found water from the refrigerator on the kitchen floor (also mentioned by an earlier renter). And where was the French door refrigerator?? Last....but certainly not least....a queen-sized blanket DOES.NOT.WORK on a king-sized bed!
All these things are so easily...and cheaply....fixed and would be far more welcoming to a renter; it is a shame to pull this condo down by not doing them. As it is, I cannot recommend it.
The property listing is accurate and looks better than the pictures once you're there. Had tons of space for our group of 4 and we're people that like a larger suite and a full kitchen, and this condo really suited our needs. Enjoyed the outdoor space, downtown location and on-site amenities and we would certainly book this place again.
Bathroom was very clean and unit is immaculate. Would strongly recommend this property and the iTrip experience to others.
We have been skiing in Park City/Deer Valley for over 10 years now and we like to think that we know all of the locations and housing options. We chose this Park Station condo for our rental, after investigating all the possibilities on Homeaway and found it to be the best combination of location, comfort and most importantly, value.
Park Station is a nice property at a realistic price with very personable, involved and solid local management team. We are value-driven but very discerning renters who are used to a higher end experience. This place met our needs in all respects. Strongly recommended to all vacationers.
My family really did enjoy this property and it's location for our last minute ski trip! The place was spacious, the beds were comfortable, we could easily entertain and everything worked well for us. The downtown location was ideal for our trip and we could walk wherever we needed to. Thanks for a great stay and we all are looking forward to visiting again next season.
