Our rental is a very clean (nonsmoking) home. It sits on 1.5 acres that have been cleared, fenced and gated. We have some of the best unobstructed views of the Catalina mountains in Tucson.
Everything is furnished, bed linens, towels and anything you would need in a kitchen. We also have a full size washer and dryer. All the rooms have been tastefully decorated. The rental is split floor plan, the master is on one side with bath. The other two bedrooms and bath are on the opposite side of the home. It is a perfect floor plan.
Located 20 miles north of Tucson, Catalina began in the 1870's as the Rail N Ranch, a working cattle ranch. In 1959, Lloyd W. Golder III purchased the ranch and renamed it the Golder Ranch. In 1949, E. B. Garner and his wife bought 112 acres of the land and a year later began selling parcels which later grew into the town of Catalina, named for the surrounding Catalina Mountains. Today, this quiet hamlet is experiencing mild growth with a steady influx of families and retirees, along with the addition of new strip malls. The Catalina area is largely rural but evolving toward a more suburban setting as new developments move into the area. Local retail trade and services support the large numbers of winter residents attracted to Catalina from November through April.

We moved to the Oro Valley, north of Tucson, from Pittsburgh, PA. When it was retirement time we knew we wanted to leave the snow shovels behind. We have been here full time for 10 years. I feel I'm on vacation everyday.
Our home is only 8 miles from the our rental home.

The views from this home are spectacular. You can sit on the deck in the afternoon and watch the mountains turn pink. What they say here in Tucson is, when the mountains turn pink it's time for a drink.
During the winter you will have days the mountains have snow.
The sky and stars are beautiful there are no lights to obstruct your star gazing.
This was our third visit, so obviously it's a winner for us. It's supremely comfortable, and Linda and Tom are terrific, making every effort to see that their guests are happy.
We really enjoyed our one month stay here. In every way, it met or exceeded our expectations. The house is spacious, clean and well maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The location provides scenic views of the Catalina Mountains and is nearby to all the offerings and conveniences of Oro Valley. The owners are very responsive and easy to deal with. We're already looking forward to returning next year.

OUR STAY WAS VERY ENJOYABLE. WE SPENT A LOT OF TIME JUST SITTING ON THE DECK AND ENJOYING THE BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF THE MOUNTAIN. THE SUNRISE AND SUNSETS WERE BEAUTIFUL.
THE HOUSE HAD EVERYTHING ANYONE WOULD NEED. IT WAS CLEAN AND EVERTHING IN IT WAS GREAT.

you feel at home from the time you drive in the yard, lots of room to park a trailer. We parked our motorcycle up on the cement slab in front of the house. the home is very clean and welcoming. This is our second time time renting from Linda and Tom . We will be back next year. Shopping and and places to eat are just min. away
Our family gathered post Christmas to be with more family who live in Saddlebrook Ranch. Since there would be about 20 of us, we needed an extra "home" and that is exactly what we found at the Ranch. The 3 bedrooms and a den accommodated 6 of us very comfortably. One of the bedrooms included a queen bed with plenty of room for a pack-n-play for our little one. The amenities were first class with 2 flat screen tvs and the necessary dish network and a DVD player to occupy the 2 teens. The kitchen was complete with more appliances than I have in my own, and came supplied with spices and condiments! Most appreciated was coffee and filters for our first morning in Tucson. Everything was immaculate and beautifully presented. There was even a small Christmas tree to give us a sense of our special Holiday stay. Our home-away-from-home is located very near a shopping center with a Basha's Grocery store and gas station. There are several excellent restaurants nearby in Catalina and wonderful areas for shopping, hiking, or visiting the national Parks all within a short drive. There had been rain about a week prior to our arrival and all the vegetation was green and filled out. The saguaros were spectacular and there is even one located on Ranch property. I would recommend this Ranch rental to any family or group needing a comfortable place to stay in the North Tucson area. It is definitely on our "return" list. We are about 4 mile from the Oro Valley Market Place. The Market Place is home to Best Buy, Multiplex theaters, Olive Garden, Red Lobster,The Keg, Walmart Supercenter, and many other stores.
Oro Valley Hospital and Medical Center is 4 miles from our home.
Catalina is home to the world-renowned Miraval Life in Balance spa and to the Univeristy of Arizona's Biosphere 2 Center, one of the largest living Earth eco-replica laboratories in the world, located north of town. Outdoor recreation is outstanding in nearby Catalina State Park and Coronado National Forest, with camping, hiking and equestrian trails. Trails around Catalina provide easy access to the Sutherland Wash, Romero Creek and the Canada del Oro Wash.
Tucson is a wonderful historic city,so many things to do visit Historic Tucson studios, Sabino Canyon, and Pima Air Museum, just to name a few.
