Only a couple weeks left in March! My response time is immediate, not 80% or a few days like the manager information states. I will email you, often times within an hour. You and your family and friends will love our condo. Casa Marquel is fun & convenient. At Casa Marquel, all that Cozumel has to offer is literally steps from your door. After visiting Cozumel for 30 years, staying at various all-inclusive resorts, we decided we wanted to buy a piece of this paradise. We chose a condo near “El Centro”. We love being able to walk just about everywhere and we know you will love it too. The condo is decorated with traditional Mexican “Rustico” furniture, making it homey and comfortable with all the conveniences of home. Casa Marquel has 1300 square feet of open living space with an additional 300 square foot balcony overlooking the pool and lovely garden area. Casa Marquel is safe and secure, located on the 2nd floor of this gated community. There is an elevator for your convenience, yet our condo is just a quick jaunt up and down one flight of stairs.

Condo accommodations can be significantly less expensive than staying at a hotel while offering many of the same amenities with much more living space. While this fabulous little island is famous for SCUBA diving, there are so many places to go, things to do and places to eat that you may never experience while staying in a hotel.

Casa Marquel’s comfortable living room has a flat screen TV with satellite U.S. channels. There is a Vonage phone so you can call home for free. There is also a local line for calling taxis, the dive shop or making reservations. We have free high speed, wireless internet. There is a safe which is large enough for most laptops.

There are 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 large full bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have king beds and one bedroom has 2 twin beds. The master bedroom has an en-suite bath, while the other 2 bedrooms share a full bath. You won’t have to flip a coin to see who gets the master bedroom, as there are privacy doors separating the other 2 bedrooms and bathroom from the main living area, so that it can be closed off, making another master suite.

All bedrooms have individual air-conditioning and ceiling fans for your comfort. The living area also has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. There is a separate laundry room in our unit with a washer and dryer.

The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, dishes, silverware, blender, toaster, pitchers and glasses for margaritas. It also includes a dishwasher, large refrigerator, microwave and gas stove. There is even a juicer for fresh-squeezed orange juice! Fresh, clean bottled water is provided. A fun and special feature of our condo is the palapa-covered bar.

The large sparkling pool is absolutely beautiful! The spacious pool area is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping and has 2 huge palapas with tables and chairs offering shade when you have had enough sun. There are plenty of lounge chairs for hanging by the pool…we can guarantee you’ll be doing a lot of that! A rinse tank for scuba gear is located by the pool.

After spending the day at any number of awesome beaches or a day of SCUBA diving, you can enjoy the authentic cuisine of San Miguel de Cozumel that night. We will have many dining and activity suggestions for you in your rental packet.

Casa Marquel is only a block from the water and “Malecon” (waterfront drive) and is only four blocks from the center of town. There are dozens of great places to eat and drink within a short walk.

You do not need to rent a car, but if you chose to rent one, there is off-street parking.

A small grocery store is located just a couple blocks away and two convenience stores just across the street. There are two huge department stores with groceries that are just a short taxi ride.

Maid service is provided weekly. You may have maid service more often for a small fee. Should any questions or issues arise, our property manager lives in our building and is available 24/7. English & Spanish are spoken. The rental management office can arrange any excursions.

It is fun to explore Cozumel. You can SCUBA dive a different reef every day. You can go to a different beach every day. You can eat at a different restaurant every day. You can go to a different bar every day…or if you find a place you really like, you can go there again and again…or you can stay in and enjoy time with your friends and family and cook some burgers on the grill. A game of cards on the balcony at night is always fun. You can also eat yummy Mexican pastries from the bakery down the street on the balcony for breakfast.

We will have tips for you in your rental packet along with other helpful information such as local medical facilities and good to knows. You will absolutely love a stay at Casa Marquel! We look forward to having you as our guest!

  • Two nice bathrooms. The master has new double sinks with new fixtures and granite countertops! Second bath also has a new sink and fixtures with granite countertops. Brightly painted accent walls. Both showers are very large.

Notes:
Quiet Interior Garden unit. Not on noisy street like other units. Pool & Garden view from master, livingroom, balcony. Safe, bottled water furnished, washer/dryer in unit, maid service. This condo is furnished with traditional Mexican rustico furniture with a festive palapa over the breakfast bar. Homey and comfortable. Recently painted with fun accent walls, new washer/dryer., new living room furniture. Perfect for singles, couples, families and avid divers. Almost everywhere you want to go in the evening is within walking distance.

Great home for our Djve Trip

The Condo was beautiful and the furniture and beds were comfortable. It has all the comforts of home. It's a big apartment for a group of 4. It was very nice to have maid service every day. Made sure and tipped these hard working ladies. The only quirk was the second bathroom was slow to get hot water even when no one else was using it. We've never come to Cozumel in August before and it was hot and the pool was warm. But after a day of diving and cleaning our gear in the dunk tank by the pool, it was nice to jump in and sit around drinking a cold beverage. This was the week after Cozumel had a big storm come through, so there was still cleanup occurring around town. After just going through Hurricane Harvey back at home, we understand how long it can take to clean up and get back to normal. Also with so much rain, the mosquitoes were pretty bad. We recommend buying repellent with DEET before you get here. These things can carry diseases. Luckily, we didn't get sick. The stores have very little choices of products. I wish we had because our area in the upper coast of Texas has a big mosquito problem, too. We easily find a number of good products here. We stayed here two years ago. We had great memories then and now. The owners, Cliff and Marla are great hosts. We felt at home there. We would love staying in their condo again. Thanks.

Paradise!

This was our first trip to Cozumel but definitely not our last. Working with Marla was effortless from beginning to end. She provided us with so much wonderful information on where to go and what to do. Her picks in restaurants were outstanding and all a short walk from the condo and delicious!

The condo itself is beautiful with all the amenities from home and for us, even more. It truly is a home away from home. If by chance you would be in need of something, Patti the property manager, lives on site and is very quick to respond. The pool is clean and beautiful and almost always empty. A quiet place to relax after a day on the beach.

Needless to say, our vacation was nothing short of amazing! With everything provided and constant communication before and during our trip. We felt like we were staying at a Five Star Resort complete with Concierge service! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Great Stay and Great Accomodations

We stayed in this unit from Dec 25 2016- Jan 1 2017. It was a wonderful stay. The unit is well laid out and probably one of the most equiped condos we have stayed in. The location is great and our 3 young adults were able to walk into town at night and back without any concerns. The unit is within walking distance of the ferry, groceries, restaurants and a fabulous bakery. The pool is very nice with several lounge chairs and the grounds are maintaned very nicely. The unit was incredibly clean and had everything you could possibly need in it to make your stay comfortable. We would definitely book here again and have recommended it to someone already. Last year we rented a condo south of town on the beach but everyone agreed we preferred the in town location vs the beach.

Great Condo in Cozumel north of the square!

Marla was great to work with and is very organized and had quick responses to emails. The Condo has a great layout and the kitchen was stocked with spices in the large fridge. The laundry washer and dryer worked well with extra towels stacked nearby. The maid service was great. The large pool was also great to cool off after walks in the summer heat. Guidos and Kinta are very nice restaurants and close for sit down suppers and lots of less fancy options are also close by. Located just two blocks from the Ocean, it's easy to get taxis and take walks. My son and I appreciated the lock box while we were out diving and effective air conditioning after we got back. We were highly satisfied with this condo and would contact Marla again for another trip!

Love It!

We have vacationed many times in Cozumel, this was our first time to rent a condo. What a wonderful place! Marla made it very easy to get and sign the contract and kept in contact with us throughout our trip. The condo is in walking distance of great places to eat, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Downtown is very close to do sightseeing.

Absolutely Perfect!!

First time to Cozumel, family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teenagers). I cannot say enough good about this place. Marla's communication with us through the whole process was no less than amazing. She gave us many tourist suggestions and advice to make us feel at home. The condo is extremely well equipped....you name it, it's there. Kitchen has all the dishes, utensils, appliances, etc that you could possibly want as well as spices and condiments in the fridge! Beds and bedding are very comfortable, bathrooms are huge and well stocked with towels, there's even a first aid kit in the cabinet (I always pack my own but next time will save the space in my luggage). The beach towels are huge, and there are plenty of them. Also pool noodles in the closet. We didn't spend much time at the pool but the few times we did we practically had it to ourselves. Gorgeous pool area with palapas and chairs, so quiet and inviting. Most of our days were spent exploring some of the many beach clubs on the west side of the island (Paradise Beach, Mr. Sanchos, Playa Palancar, Money Bar, Playa Azul). A short walk to the water (less than 5 minutes) and taxis were plentiful to take us to the beach clubs. We did rent a car from Rentadora Isis for a couple of days to explore the east side of the island which was well worth it. We loved the many beautiful and practically empty white sandy beaches. Also worth mentioning is how safe we felt in Cozumel. The condo itself is very secure but also just walking the streets felt extremely safe. We had no qualms about letting our teens walk into the town square (so close...less than 10 minutes) and wander on their own. We will definitely rent this condo again if we ever make it back to Cozumel. Thanks Marla and Cliff for sharing your wonderful home!!!
