We stayed at this wonderful apartment for 5 days and have to agree with all of the previous reviews. Monica is a gem and the apartment is great. The location, the size, the cleanliness, and all of the little extras that Monica provides all make for a great stay. Being a ground floor apartment was also a bonus for us since we could not have managed the narrow, steep staircases so common in Amsterdam. You will not be disappointed if you decide to rent this apartment and you will absolutely love Monica!
Love love love this apartment. Huge living space, very central, well appointed, couldn't ask for more! Monica met us upon arrival and spent a lot of time going over not only apartment amenities but also the city and how to get around, where to go. My family lives nearby and they were impressed as well, we will be recommending this to anyone who visits the city!
This apartment met all our requirements - and more!! It was spotlessly clean and Monica the owner couldnt have done more to welcome us at the start of our weekend break. She had kindly provided us with the essentials such as bread, milk, butter, beer, orange juice, waffles etc etc etc. She even met us from the tram which we really appreciated and provided assistance throughout our stay.
This lovely ground floor apartment is on a quiet street, and is only a short walk to the tram, shops and restaurants. Westerkerk church is right at the end of the street which is a great landmark to find your way back to.
The apartment contained all the necessities we could have required. The bed was really comfortable as was the seating in the living room.
All in all, we had a very enjoyable time in Monica's apartment and we would thoroughly recommend it to anyone considering staying here.
Monica is fantastic, and this apartment is wonderful! This was our first time visiting Amsterdam, and we feel like we hit the jackpot by finding this rental. The apartment has a spacious kitchen and sitting area, and the bed is also quite comfortable. Monica was very thoughtful, and she had a few things in the fridge to welcome us on our stay. Monica was also incredibly helpful by providing information on transportation (to/from airport as well as around the city - although we walked everywhere minus the airport), restaurants, and attractions. She also checked in during our 5 day stay to make sure we were happy and didn't have any questions concerning the apartment or the city. The apartment is a couple blocks from the Anne Frank House, 10 minute walk to Dam Square, 15 minute walk to the Red Light District, and a 30 minute walk to the Museum District. Our personal favorite place for breakfast or a burger is Cafe Wheels, which is a 5 minute walk located on Wolvenstraat. We would absolutely stay here again, and we will recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Thank you, again, Monica for being a most gracious host!
One could not ask for a better place for a fully furnished, spacious and clean apartment.Owner, Monica, certainly goes out of her way to ensure that the guests receives a warm welcome.
Location: on a nice quiet street , close to Anne Frank House ( less then 10 minute walk), restaurants and grocery store.
Aparment: for two adults and a child it is an ideal unit.
Facilities: has all the appliances in the kitchen, includes all pans, pots and dishes, dishwasher, washing machine, etc.
Owner, Monica, met us at the apartment and the best surprise was, that she had purchased bread, milk, cookies, etc for the guest. It made settling in so comfortable, after an overnight flight from Canada.
Monica, also kept maps and information ready for us. During our stay, she ensured that we were comfortable (via email.)
On our last day, she even walked us to the tram stop to ensure we took the right tram to our next destination.
We have already highly recommend the apartment to our friends and family members. We stayed from March 20 to April 3, 2016........ Mehtas from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
I've been to Amsterdam dozens of times and this might be the best place I've stayed. The tram is very close, as well as an excellent shawarma eatery. It's about a 10 minute walk to Dam Square, 15 - 20 minutes to Rembrandtplein. Monica is the property manager and is a lovely Italian woman who went to all lengths to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
Bike rentals just behind the house, parking garage with 700 stalls 500 meters away, Amsterdam Segway tours office next block.
